    Nice! Just ordered this. So I don’t need to disconnect my trolling batteries that are in series and it will charge? That be awesome. I ordered the mini 2 bank (2) because I didn’t wanna wire the 4 bank all the way through the boat.

      I have group 31 AGM deep cycle. Do I need to charge it with 8A or will 4A be okay? I only ask because it’s been on the charger for two days and it has yet gone green on the charger.

  • @Midwesthookset
    @Midwesthookset 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    A lot of people say you should have a board between the charger and an aluminum mounting surface. I'm getting ready to install one in my alumacraft. Had any issues with yours without a board behind it? I probably won't put one behind mine either.

    did you hook up the charger to each of the batteries that are in parallel or did you run one set of leads from the charger to the two batteries in parallel and one other set of leads to the starter battery?

    • @KayakUSA1
      @KayakUSA1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You just need to hook up to one battery on each set of leads. It will charge them appropriately. 👍🏼

    Nice job. I just got a NOCO Genius 2X2 for my bass boat. QUESTIONS: Once both batteries (Trolling and Crank) are permanently wired into the Genius can I run the boat with the leads connected to the battery. Does the alternator hurt the charging unit? I get the feeling the alternator will send power into the Genius, no? Thanks

    Hello. Just bought a boat today. Like your videos, but i do have a question.
    My boat has 4 batteries. 2 batteries for my 24V trolling motor, 1 for engine Starting, 1 for accessories. Will this charger charge the 24V system an the 12V system?

    New to boating...I have two battery banks. One battery for the starter. The other bank is 3 batteries connected together for the house (In a series I guess...12volt). Does that mean I need a two bank charger or a 4 bank? Thanks!

    • @KayakUSA1
      @KayakUSA1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You’ll still need 4 banks, one for each battery. 👍🏼

  • @smiller225

    I just installed a 2 bank noco today. It gets hot how hot does yours get while charging?

    • @KayakUSA1
      @KayakUSA1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mines doing great still, they do get warm but I think that’s any charger. As long as you are connected right and no warning lights are on, I wouldn’t worry.🤙🏼

  • @icheckraise

    Can anyone help me with this question We bought a pontoon with a charger installed. I do not want to run a 40 extension cord to charge it. Is there a portable charger that I can charge, carry to the pontoon and plug to the male plug on the charger on the pontoon? I do not want jumper cables. Can I remove jumper cables from the portable chargers, I have seen, and replace with a female outlet?

    Good video on how to rig it up etc, But i am Not realy seeing the point of spending all this money to charge a few battery's, and definitely would not want it on board.. now the outboard should be charging its own battery no problem, if not then get the problem fixed, and if you put a splitter in line it would also charge your trolling motor batteries. either way you would only need the two trolling batteries charged at home, and why on earth put another load of electrical s in a damp marine environment and also add even more unwanted weight. once the batteries are charged this is not needed on the boat at all.. seems a bit daft to even put it in there in the first place.. once you leave your house this does nothing so why carry it around ?... apart from steal a bit of current all the time its all connected up.
