Thank you Dave I am a 63-year-old woman who was told I need to start building better muscle tone and exercise due to a heart syndrome called HFpEF. I have the bands but did not really know where to start... And here you are!! I am going to start watching your videos on the proper way to excersise using bands. This video was very informative thank you so much! (Us older folks need this too!)
It's about damn time! I've been searching for reliable and credible information, instruction, and technique for a long time. Thank you so much for this channel.
I agree that having different band types is useful. I only have loop bands at the moment and I find they don't work well for some exercises. I got a bar and handle attachments, which I found opened up a few additional exercises or at least made some existing ones either more effective or allows a different part of a muscle group to be targeted, but eventually I plan to add tube bands because I think the exercises I find most difficult with the loop bands will be easier with them.
As an old fart, coming back from suspected thiamine defficiency, chronic fatigue, bad gut etc etc, I needed basic and fun exercises, with core detail, that can build my muscles back. A calisthenics type approach seems to be the one. I follow another you tuber called Jeremy Ethiar, and now you Discipline Dave. I just got the coloured band set, and you tubed band workout, and big D pops up. 😊 Thanks man.
Thank you sir. I’m coming out of a 7 month mental health crisis and agoraphobia, and was rotting on the couch for months. Gained so much weight and lost a lot of mobility so starting over. Hi, Im now to this. Im 62 and would love to begin to use bands. Your videos are amazing!! Please let me know when you have any deals on bands or free ones. Thank you!!
I started with resistance bands cause, I'll be honest, they were the easiest to steal from Walmart. Though I'm reaching a point where I'll have to actually buy a good set or two from Amazon. I'll probably donate the ones I don't use when I get the ones from Amazon.
I bought TorroBands after watching this video about a year or so ago and they're still going strong...but the door stopper that came with them is very flimsy and comes aloose, so I'm looking for an alternative....thank you!
Great videos on resistance bands 💪 I use a lot resistance bands for arm wrestling training, they definitely build muscle and increase strength. Keep up the good work, all the best 💪
@@DisciplineDave your videos are great, I only came across your channel today 💪 yeah resistance bands are great for arm wrestling training, I sometimes put fat gripz over the loop bands or on the handles if they fit haha.
And in saying that, you've gained a sub, my ultimate struggle was not undertstanding band tension, i can't go from one band to the next heavier band as the jump is too much, I start adding smaller 5lb bands for example and then continuing like that.
Yeah this is good advice to know this because I had a habit of paying attention to the sets and reps, now I have better results by just exhausting the muscle. 👍🏾 good video
I live in Northern rural Thailand, I can only get cheap resistance bands. I only use the loop bands, but with climber clips? (don't know a better name) self made handles and a tree that if drilled this looped ended metal screws in at multiple levels. And I suddenly have a damn lot of options. 4:51 this!!!
