Great video, keep going.🥰
Thank you!
That water crossing got so hairy near the other end, I panicked a little as the water was basically sweeping you guys away. Glad you made it.
Definitely gets your heart pumping.
Great video guys!
This trail looks really fun, a little bit of everything.
Greetings from Croatia!
Hi there and welcome. Glad you enjoyed the video. Don't forget to subscribe, I have a lot more coming.
That water crossing was insane! 😮
Water crossings (plural) I should say...lol!!
Yeah, that was sketchy. It cost the TJ a transmission. One of the other crossings cost an axle shaft.
This was the trip that got me hooked on the Canadian shield. Can't wait to go back
@@MnRautollc we’ve got a lot of new areas to explore, like Witch DoctorLake.
that water crossing was nuts thought the TJ was going for a ride
River rafting in a TJ is not good.
Dang, the water was a lot higher when you guys were there. Definitely got some balls going through some of those water crossings.
I’ve seen the water level so high that it flooded the forest as far as you could see through the trees covering all the washed out roads.
@ that’s insane! I would imagine the spring melt is crazy.
People have died where the blue tj got hung up. 2023
@ dang. I was up in that area in October but don’t remember that crossing. The water was a lot lower when I was there.
That's sad!!!@@harliehartman3226
I REALLY, REALLY hate that I live some 750-900 miles south of there. That sure is some nice riding and BEAUTIFUL SCENIC AREA!!!! THAT'S COMING FROM WAYYYYY DOWN HERE IN THE HEART OF DIXIE AND GOD'S COUNTRY......
GOD BLESS Y'ALL AND LOVED THE VIDEO.
@@RedRabbit4230 thank you. You don’t want to go there from late May through August, the black flies are terrible. Early September and October are the best. Fall colors are amazing.
Where are your favorite places to go?

I really like when you add commentary to the videos. Whether it be updates on the trail or memories. It really helps break up long video sections. It gets kind of boring sometimes. If it's just straight video of you going down the trail. Loving every video you're putting out and seeing the subtle improvements each time. Keep it up. Tom!
Thanks. I think the people and the conversations really add to the story.
Excellent video, looked like a fun time. Definitely adding it to my list of future jeeping spots. But not going alone! The force of that water was crazy.
@@dirttrekking4321 thank you. Sometimes the water level is way down and you can walk across. A lot of wash outs in the roads and it’s constantly changing. Roads can literally disappear.
My dad had a camp about 30 miles down that road (mile 77 on the ACR) in the 70's . Sure has changed a lot since then. We used to go there with 2WD vehicles. There was a horror movie made back then called Rituals that had some scenes shot on the Batchewana River along that road. The last time I was up there was 1980.
@@wfo4058 thanks for sharing. This area changes each year because the river and rain keeps washing sections away.
I found the movie www.imdb.com/title/tt0076630/
@@JeepOffRoadAdventures I'm not sure I remember a power line on the way but looking on Google Earth we must have drove under it. Is that a detour now?
There’s a powerline off Highway 17 just before Mile 38 Rd. that we hopped on and that took us to the first river crossing at the Chippewa River.
@@wfo4058 we watched the movie a few days ago.
Cool video
@@ajachase6211 thanks. It’s one of my favorite places.
People say newer Jeeps are mall crawlers but this was a lot of pretty stock Jeeps from CJs to JLs that did some pretty tough off roading
@@ectolle54 you’re right, people do say that all the time, but we get a lot of brand new Jeeps that come out to trail ride with us. Thanks for watching.
That water crossing 🫢😮
@@stevekenny9154 aim slightly upstream and not too fast. Keep a bow wake in front and hope for the best.
Why didn't he lock the diffs on that TJ Rubicon?
I live in southern Ontario, need to go run this trail great mix of trails.
If you go farther south in Ontario Ardbeg hydro lines north and south trails are good , plus fun water hole to play in right at the trail head and camping spots
Ardbeg power line is a real test for off road vehicles. Even the road in is a lot of fun. In May the bugs are too hungry.
@@Nordic_off_roading I’ll have to check out that area. Thanks.
@@janetyeoman1544 definitely, the south run is my favourite if you branch off the hydro lines and double back to the lake note your paint will take a beating tho lol
Why no snorkels?
that looks like snorkel country,
@@chrisc7199 some had them that you couldn’t see, but most did not.
That water crossing was sketchy for sure. It had to of been very close to the air intakes.
@@ectolle54 it was for sure. Everyone made it out, except for the TJ. Well, he made it out, but had to trailer it home.
How did those Jeeps avoid ingesting water and hydrolocking?
I think there was an air pocket under the hood because there were a couple that shouldn’t have made it. I’ve hydrolocked and seized the engine before. It wasn’t fun.
I like seeing videos of here pop up but at the same time concerns me it’ll eventually blow spots up.
@@harliehartman3226 yeah, that’s understandable. It’s still pretty uncommon, if not rare to see anyone else when we’re out there. Once you turn off the highway there’s nothing else out there.
True enough for now, I am glad you guys enjoyed it. Our area offers tonnes of adventure!
@@harliehartman3226 Last time we were there we came across a couple that lived on a remote lake. They were so excited to see our Jeeps and were surprised we made it back there. They couldn't wait to tell their friends.
@@harliehartman3226its all on Onx off road now so more people will be there forsure, luckily its pretty remote for most people so hopefully no hooligans ruin it.
That ain't fording a simple river, thats just straight up Boating across...😮
That shouldn't have went that smooth.
The water was clear up over the hoods. 😮 How did none of them ingest water and Hydrolock?
One did suck up water, but fortunately didn't hydrolock. They pulled the plugs and got it dried out and continued on. The blue TJ lost his transmission due to the water and ended the trip early. I think there was an air pocket under the hood that must have saved the other Jeeps. I hydrolocked years ago in the upper peninsula, it wasn't fun at all. It turned into a long day and night trying to get out. My brother ended up towing me behind his YJ for almost 100 miles before we met up with a tow truck waiting for us.
@JeepOffRoadAdventures oh that's some serious Jeepin, 100 plus miles out...takes commitment 👏 Upper Pennensula is awesome. Been there a few times. Blue Ice is super cool. Greetings from Toledo, home of Jeep.
Need a snorkel and a tow rope ready to go for a crossing like that I would think
Hey! i live in ssm,on
@@stroveyproductions have you been to Tribag Mine?
@JeepOffRoadAdventures sadly no
