    I quite like Viktor’s personality. To be honest I have watched a few of his games. He does give off an impression of giving up easily in the second set. However, I don’t think it is about mental toughness like some of the others say. I reckon it is to do with his level of fitness. Viktor is taller than average among badminton players and would weigh more. It takes more energy for him to manoeuvre is body and long limbs. Whenever he is against players that have exceptional speed and footwork. Those players are able to speed up the dynamic and tire Viktor out. If Viktor wants to become better. He needs to make his movement more efficient and do more training on endurance.

    A well-deserved win for LCW. Disappointed with Viktor in the second set where he sort of gave up despite there's still chance.
    You don't see LCW, Momota gave up the match just like that.
    Good aggression by LCW despite at his age. The first set pressure has exhausted Viktor at least mentally.

    • @MrJ4ckie
      @MrJ4ckie 6 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      He's interfering with Axelsen's racket movement anyway, so it's absolutely okay to call a fault here. It was also really really close, might've been on the other side of the net, might not.....if you watch the slow motion at 13:43 at quarter speed you'll see its actually really close. Not 100% a fault, but definitely reasonable to call one.

    • @ShadowG78
      @ShadowG78 6 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      MrJ4ckie i have looked slow mo and lcw doesn't take on the other side so he's not interfering. He just defend from his side

    • @onr3029
      @onr3029 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      if blocked it was fault, but he didn't blocked, it is a returned. play at 0.25speed you can see, his racquet facing up and returned. but referee judge him racquet facing down, apparently referee not concentrate enuf to judge the point.

    • @MrJ4ckie
      @MrJ4ckie 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      What you say has no relation to the rules at all. You're allowed to block, just as you are allowed to play your shot. What you're not allowed to do is touch the shuttle on the other side of the net or in some fashion hinder your opponent's ability to make his shot - that includes placing your racket in the way of his, even if he follows through to your side of the net.
      Your comment regarding the umpire is ignorant as well, it's incredibly hard to judge these things because they happen so fast. You base your judgement on the .25 speed video, yet expect the umpire to be without fault without the benefit of a slowmotion replay.....

      It’s like just over or right above the net, you can sorta see if you put it on 0.25 speed, and keep playing/pausing in that area till you get to it

    • @m-entertainmentk9369
      @m-entertainmentk9369 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      well, as I know, it is more about the hitting point shouldn't be over the net.
      In this case, I have to say, after checking with 0.25 speed with fast click my space key to make it slower, I can see both of them hitting the shuttle in their own side with racket over to other side after the hits and the WHITE line (shuttle's track).
      To conclude, the result is umpire's mistake; however, I won't really judge the umpire in this case tho. Because a great player is not just depends on this ONE point, also things happened in this 0.0x second, which people usually need equipment to determine what exactly happened.
      btw, I meant THIS CASE only. Of course I do know there are some ridiculous ones.

      @znaim88 6 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Lleone He has a longer reach. Where others have to move to hit, he just stretches his arm. There are pros and cons really. He's less agile because he's tall but has longer reach than short players.

    • @vertie2090
      @vertie2090 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      What I've noticed is that tall players tend to become a bit lazy in terms of some aspects of their footwork. Shorter players can't afford to do that and are subsequently usually more agile. I'd say if all else equal but Viktor was the height of LCW or Momota he would not stand a chance against the top 10 players

    • @JesseDumontt
      @JesseDumontt 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pros: Barely has to move around the court. Easier to spike.
      Cons: His arms are so long it takes longer for him to move his arm in front of him if he has too. Or say he's committing to a shot on his right side but he reacts seeing it go to his left, it takes a bit longer for him and he could miss. It happens in this set a bit I believe.
