    What acupuncture school did you go to and how did you choose your school?

      ACTCM. My acu doc said that was where she would have gone if she’d done her research. And then I did mine. Fit!

    Some of these are just off to me, imma say as someone who grew up more on the financially tight side of life, with confidence issues and whatnot…. Sometimes being in a building that feels professional can make your nervous system act up. Don’t let something good for you intimate you. sometimes for some of us its better to go with what we know and not with what we feel because we’ve been conditioned to feel negative for so long.

    I'm looking for an acupuncture school. Does anyone have or know where to find a list of part-time programs? Thank you

    • @AlyssaDazetLAc
      @AlyssaDazetLAc  ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I know you can go to any program part time. You generally have a certain amount of total years you need to complete the program in.

    I have it narrowed down between National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, Oregon and Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (PIHMA) in Arizona. They both seem really good and I don’t know what to doooooooo! Are you familiar with either of these schools/Any advice on how to choose from that point?

      I’m not. You should just visit them. You’ll know. 👍

      I applied to NUNM. Have you decide which one you are going to?

    What about an Europe student that wants to live in Canada? Does the bachelor from Europe matter and can u have an u related bachelor when you choose to enrol in a program?
    Is it like a 5 year training thats separate from university or is it considered as a masters and doctorate degree?

      I'm located in the States so you will need to research those countries. I would contact the acupuncture board in the providence you want to live in.

    Very informative! This has been a huge help for me! I found a school listed on the CA board, "Whitewater University of California," which I'm keen on. Their website highlights impressive test pass rates and employment oppurunities upon graduation. However, I noticed it's not listed on the ACAOM accreditation site or the NCCAOM school list.
    Does this imply that Whitewater graduates may not be eligible to take the NCCAOM exam upon graduation? I'm a bit confused. I thought that being recognized by the CA board was indicative of a more rigorous standard.

    This was great. Thank you! I am approaching my 4th year of my undergraduate degree and have some room to take a few filler courses. Do you have any recommendations as to what courses have helped you the most/what you wish you would have taken before enrolling into an acupuncture school? Thank you for your time!

    • @AlyssaDazetLAc
      @AlyssaDazetLAc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Awesome! You're welcome :) YES I do! If you can take any anatomy and physiology classes that have labs, do it. Generally the A&P classes in acupuncture schools don't have labs that go along with them. So I find A&P classes in undergrad to be much more comprehensive and hands on. Do you know which acupuncture school you are picking yet?

    • @MaraGoesRawr

      @@AlyssaDazetLAc Thank you so much for your response! Yes I have already taken those courses (as I was originally planning to go into a DPT program before my junior year), so that knowledge should be helpful! I have a list of top 5 schools in mind, but am not completely set on just one yet, since I will most likely take a gap year to gain some money before enrolling into a TCM school. Thank you again for your time and help! I really appreciate the tips(-:
