Mega Man ZX - Model HX vs All Bosses [No Damage/Hard Mode]

- Mega Man ZX gameplay on hard mode with Model HX; boss rush against all bosses, and achieving a Level 4 Victory/No Damage against all Pseudoroids. I'm not fighting the Z3 and Z4 bosses, because unlike Omega (who's a totally different monster than his Z3 counterpart), there aren't any gameplay differences between them and their respective games.
Model HX is undisputedly the strongest form in the game, however I feel like that's established for misunderstood reasons. Yes, tornado absolutely destroys, but what actually makes HX powerful is its overall kit. Superior mobility and overdrive damage multipliers (which every model has) enhances its already-great normals, and work well in conjunction with literally everything else. About its only downside is that against water-based enemies and bosses, it's... not going to do a lot of damage, which is why the Leganchor fight is terrible. You can't use anything other than normal slashes, because he's invulnerable to everything... and overdrive activation only makes him invulnerable to your normals, lol.

Except in zero 1. Then you can stun lock by hitting him with a charge attack (doesn't even need his ice weakness). In zero 2 this was fixed so now he's harder to beat. And then model HX happened, need I say more.

Model HX is overpowered.
And model ZX is also overpower
@@almirantevergin7565 not really Zx isn't overpowered compared to model Hx, Hx can shred through bosses, Zx with Overdrive maybe would have been OP tho
@@omegax6925 he is OP when you don’t have the Hx model (which was my case since I took the Hx last) so it was easy for me to defeat the bosses with the Zx, I would say he’s almost OP
@@almirantevergin7565 he still isn't OP tho, it might have been easy for you to do that stuff but when I played mega man ZX I remember model ZX being helpful for stuff but I never killed bosses in seconds to the same extent of model Hx I wouldn't say OP just really good

I think it’s because of the added pressure the Level ranks give you that makes it feel so much more euphoric
I've never seen somebody actually make use of the FX shot direction changer, that kill was amazing! And man, I might start using HX myself, it looks so fun.

HX is noted to be the best biometal in the game, DPS-wise. And you can probably see why.
@@aliesterus1.023 Omega is the best example, he took 1 bar with only the charged attacks and then another with the slashes. 2 bars worth of HP in one single combo

you know, when I was a kid I though the I frames on bosses were like other megaman games, and you couldn't combo them, so I only attacked with charged shots
now I want to go back to those games and learn how to combo boses, looks really fun~!

@@hessexm8065 isnt normal megaman game everyboss will turn invincible when blinking? Thats why charge shot was good while combo slash was bad back then.

In a sense they do, but there’s a whole combo priority system where certain attacks to don’t apply to i-frames, allowing gameplay like this.
The Zero series has 7 combo priority values (0-6)
And ZX has 225 (0-224) Magnus Zero put MiKenyan’s zero series combo priority value table in his tech guide, and Meta_X made a combo priority value table for ZX which he put on Twitter.

Maaan, that Omega edit coupled with an echoed version of his laughter felt like a wondrous fighting game secret boss reveal. Which I assume is what it's based on, but I _loved it._ Really nice touch!
Also, that sequence of attack at 5:32 was just bliss to watch, it's really hard not to rewatch. I'm just another casual player though, and I've always had difficulty to hit Omega enough times with Omega Hx before he could heal successively, so, I got notes to take. That combo looks wondrous, it's so cool to see you use it twice to finish him.

The absolute style on some of these kills put a smile on my face. That and the suffering that was watching you murder leganchor with jump slash after jump slash, knowing it was the only ethical way to finish him.
That Fistleo quick kill was revenge for all of the suffering from his big meaty arms in your OX run.

Tbh, i didnt realize there is still one spot in Leganchor's head that is NOT a Critical Spot. Still that part is very amazing (and also probably Meme Worthy).

Okay old timer, it was when you got to Hivolt where I was like "Okay, this man is just straight up having fun at this point" lul.
I have never..EVER seen Leganchor do that water wave attack in all my years of playing this game though. He's usually ded 15 seconds in anyway but at least ya made up for it by just lookin' at him though.
Though I probably should've made a Doya counter...good shit as always my guy. Glad to see you're enjoying your time with ZX.

Leganchor is probably the easiest boss to go through, he's the only one where just tanking damage and spin-slashing works. At least it was satisfying to do, multi-hits in this game feel amazing but the spin slash is the most satisfying of them (and one of the few there are).

I do struggle to find the same level of battle depth in Advent, I'm not sure if it's because of how the bosses behave there, or if the models feel nerfed.

there isn't they are the same tho iirc Aile has a faster crawl and more knock back

Why didn't the tornado attack damage Hivolt's wings/Purprill's hands?

2. Because the tornado was placed outside the weak point hitboxes. They're smaller than they look.

Have you ever tried zx advent boss rush with z saber only? Not model z only, literally z saber only. Blocking against Prometheus and Albert is ridiculous but man does it feel good when you pull it off.
