Challenge conditions:
-No Damage, duh
-After Omega 1, No charged attacks (except for Recoil Rod. Weakest charge, but has it's use for combos and maneuverability strats)
I was going to release this on New Years Day, but the video was already finished and I know the holiday season is busy for most people, so it'd more likely be caught in a less busy time. Anyway, I feel like this type of video needs to be done. I'm not dissing any other boss rush video on youtube, but none really show off one of the most effective (and encouraged) ways to fight this game's bosses. The combo system's not even utilized to it's fullest potential in those videos, and that's a shame, since players should have the right to know just how far you can push this combo system and curb stomp these bosses without it feeling like cheap charge spam. Combos grant you superior damage at the expense of exposing yourself to more potential damage. But this is Zero, man--that's been his deal since the beginning. Zero 3 just finally fleshed that out.
This video's here to kinda prove a point: You DON'T need charged Z-Saber (or even charging in general) in this game, ESPECIALLY against every boss. I only used it on the first Omega fight because it'd look weird using EX Skills stage 1, and Recoil Rod's charge damage is the EXACT amount of damage as an uncharged recoil, just that is has more utility and I felt I'd do myself a huge disservice by NOT using it in this video. Sure, charged Z's a superior combo starter damage-wise, but it's not that significant of a game changer. Bosses already crumble like cookies with the right EX Skill and chip combinations. Smacking them with that charged Z-Saber at the start is just an insult at that point (unless you're speedrunning).
The main combo I use here revolves around the Z-Saber and Recoil Rod: normal aerial slash (can even be a recoil rod poke. Both deal the same damage and have the same combo value of 1) - 1000 Slash - short hop - SaberSmash - short hop - aerial spinning slash (Malthas cyber-elf). It's not the "strongest" combo, but it's one of the most universal combos that work against most bosses just fine for consistent damage. It also gives you ample time to act afterward since the combo doesn't pin you down in place and after the 1000 slash, you can always dip out if you feel like you aren't fast enough to continue it before the boss recovers or move, or even switch weapons if needed.
The Light Body Chip and Quick Foot Chip also brings out more damaging combos to the table. Triple Slash - Split Heavens (it links together because of the chip combo) - SaberSmash - aerial spin takes off nearly an entire bar of HP. But if you REALLY want to get crazy, fight bosses that can stagger backwards like Copy X, Phantom or Omega Zero and watch that HP shave with the GaleAttack - Split Heavens - SaberSmash - aerial slash combo. I simply only did half of that combo on some of the bosses because it's straight up NASTY (charged Z-Saber's got nothing on that), and this video would probably be even shorter if I DID do that to them. It's just Copy X and Omega especially die from it fast because you can safely hit them with all three hits from GaleAttack without hurting yourself.
The boss battles shown here will be the base strats I'll be going off of when I actually run the whole game properly (mostly Z-Saber and Recoil Rod usage). Either way, I want to start off 2019 strong, and I want this video to represent that. Hope you all enjoy.

The swag is off the charts. The fact that you used a completely different strat from mine against Phantom and it was still sick really speaks volumes about the creativity in Z3. Looking forward to the full run.
Thanks man! Yeah, I was surprised I was able to craft something different, because it'd feel redundant if I had to use the same strat. There's several ways to approach these bosses to where I'm not surprised if I find even more alternate strats during the actual run.

omega being VA'd by the(at the time) X-Saga Zero VA from japan, and doing the classic HUHAHU for the triple attack
Sadly it isn't Ryōtarō Okiayu, who voices X series Zero, but it is Jun'ichi Suwabe, who gives Omega his voice.
X-saga is Byakuya and Omega Zero is Grimmjow, for a reference.
I actually figured out the 7-hit combo on my own, I was looking through hit priority tables for Z4 and found the holy grail

I didn't know this game had such a rich combo system. I always felt like the EX skills were gimmicks and throwbacks to the X series. I never knew you could chain them like this.
I actually did make a possible moveset if Zero was in smash
Here:
=Smash attacks=
Forward smash-charged saber attack
Down smash-no idea
Up smash-charged triple rod (you don't need to charge it anymore but chargeable for a stronger one, same goes for fsmash)
=Grounded attacks=
Jab-recoil rod
Up tilt-first slash on his three slash attack
Forward tilt-second slash on his three slash attack
Down tilt-no idea
Special things about his utilt and ftilt:
If you utilt-ftilt-utilt, it would make Zero do the triple slash attack just like the Model H combo where you slice slash slice to do a triple slash
Dash attack-sengatotsu, his run is also a dash so you basically need to keep pressing dash with it
Grab-chain rod (no ideas for what he will do in his grabs)
=Aerials=
Nair-Rolling air slash (can't hold)
Fair-Normal air slash
Dair-sharp edge(acts the same as Link dair but can't meteor)
Bair-no idea
Uair-charged triple rod attack while on air
=Specials=
Neutral-Gun (can be charged)
Side-zero knuckle (acts like Captain Falcon Side B )
Down-shield boomerang, doesn't need to be charged but acts the same like the ones in the game
Up-Tenshouzan(won't make you free fall)

Okay so this is my first zero 3 run on normal mode, and I got an S on the intro level, and right now I just beat Hanumachine (still the 2 others left) with an A each time!

@@Uneke It's normal to be amazed by a lot when you see the speed of movement and the violence with which the bosses are cut up. I would like to believe that this is how Zero beat his opponents.
I'm assuming that the Cyber Elves that alter your Z-Saber combo aren't effective in connecting combos?

They're effective. Just that damage wise, it's not much of a difference (other than the upper slash from the triple slash dealing +1 damage). Also, the Light/Quick Chip combination doesn't work with the triple slash alteration or saber wave from the Elf, so it makes the alterations inferior with that chip combo.

I usually only go with triple slash (or charge saber + triple slash), then rising slash and downward stab. Sometimes with the orbit shield inbetween (that thing has the "combo value" of 0)
Btw, I think you'd have easier time against air bosses if, after air recoil rod and you land, you use rising slash before the air rolling slash, just saying
