Just stumbled upon your channel. Great quality conent Andrew! Used to own a TME about 15 years ago with a 4G64 2.4 stroker and GT35R combo, 400awhp on 98. I love the shape of the wagon, great build!
Hey Gavin. Thanks very much. I bet your car got moving with that power in the light TME especially 15 years ago it was harder to build power then compared to nowadays. One day ill build the engine in my TME and its gonna be crazy good. Its the never ending struggle between OEM and the fun of high power. What ate you driving nowadays?
@@UzumakiGarage OMG you have a TME too?! Wow! That is awesome. It was an incredible car to own - however I could very much relate to the boost on 98. For whatever reason it made peak power on around 23psi - I stupidly turned up the wick to around 26, it blew the tip off an Iridium spark plug which scored the bore and destroyed the engine. My brother in law bought it off me, rebuilt it then his mate put a rod through the block. It now is sadly rotting away at his mothers house. I currently have a Lexus ISF with full bolt on mods. I intend to keep it for a fair while yet. Having just turned 40 I need to start being more financially responsible - and I can't trust myself to purchase JDM nostalgia with the modification bug waiting to pounce.
@@gavinr9107 cheers mate. Yes the TME is very nice and I have to get it tuned too as I don't even know who tuned it in the past. But it has cams and a GTpumps 712 turbo so it must have been tuned??? I kinda like it being mostly OEM and I can't afford to build that motor too so a low boost tune is all it will get (eventually). What country is your brother in laws TME in? Message me on Instagram or facebook if you don't want to say in these comments. For some reason I can't be financially responsible. That Lexus must be quick!

Thanks for your question mate. Its a carbon fibre HKS Kansai air box but I modified if by cutting that banana shape in its top and sunk it down into the snorkel and re-fibreglassed it in position.
