Obviously when you said it might be the best thing you ever ate that was what impressed me most.
I was also impressed that every side received highly positive comments. If we make the 2 1/2 hour drive up from where we live in Tennessee I'm going to order all the sides so we can try them.
So often you go to a place that has been hyped and find out they are just average. This place looks really special.
I’ll be making the two hour drive again myself. Finish you day off with a Dovie burger too.
We took the 2 1/2-hour drive from Louisville to R&S BBQ and it was a great experience, well worth the drive, the owner and Her Son came over to chat with us , just a lovely experience, dinner was $20 . with drinks for two meals, they gave us a 1/2 of chicken my mistake for free. I highly recommend this place.
The owner is a sweetheart.

Awesome looking Q and fixins! I checked to see if that is were we stopped at coming from TN. It wasn't but it was very similar.
We live in Byrdstown, TN and have been here before. Her restaurant actually burned down a few years ago and the community came together to help rebuild it. We have a friend who has a great BBQ place in Albany, KY called Hunter's BBQ. You gotta go try the shoulder plate there too. Out favorite sides there are vinegar and mayo slaw, baked beans, bowtie salad, and order the pigtails with chili and cheese. Another item everyone likes is the Swamp Cabbage. Their boneless grilled chicken breast plate is great too.
Man that sounds so good. I’m writing that one down.
I love R&S! Can you review A Little Taste of Texas in Glasgow some day? My mom worked there for 14 years when I was growing up and I looooved their food and still do!

As usual, Barry, EVERYTHING looked so good…. I actually thought that potato casserole was mac & cheese at first, and it looked so good…. When you dipped that bread in that dipping sauce!!! Honestly every meat looked delicious and I probably try all the sides.
I mistakenly thought you dipped a folded paper towel in the cup of dip sauce. Oh no, Barry is going suck that juicy towel! I finally figured it out that it was bread.
