    Brilliant, can't wait for the next part, I'd love to hear what the full throated tiger sounds like. Also I noticed we have some similar tastes in bikes, Royal Enfield and the tiger B-)

      +Arizona RE Thanks. The Enfield is my latest (£300 ebay basket case) project. Nearly finished and can't wait to get out on her and do a few vlogs, RS

    Hello mate. Only just seen this video. I've a 2011 Tiger 800, great bike. I don't care about extra power (don't mind it) nor a better noise. What drives me nuts is that rattling, pinging, tinging sound that is always there on the overun. Are you familiar with this sound that some, not all, tigers have? Did you have this noise and did the de-cat fix it?

    Brabantia special? You are a braver many that I, taking a drill to a bike. Hard to tell on my iPad but how much better does it sound?

      +CalmBiker Had to look up Brabantia, I was thinking more like - Home and Bargain £2.99. I would estimate the silencer is now 10-15% deeper and louder. I may try and do a better sound check when I've done the decat.

      Hi Arjun gowda.
      The o2 eliminator plug came from Smart-Moto Electronics in Greece through eBay. Fast service plus they supplied exhaust blanking plug and sealing washer. For information on the temperature sensor, go to boosterplug.com for info,testimonials,position etc. Good luck and RS.

    Do you have another video or info on the temp sensor in regards to wiring and how the ECU uses both. I just drilled a 7/8 hole in my exhaust and it decel pops somewhat.

      +JG Hi, I didn't think anybody would be interested in the boring stuff so didn't bother with a video. Google - Boosterplug.com and read all their blerb. It should tell you more than I can in a few lines of waffle. Hope this helps. RS.

      Red, your efforts, time and documentation are great. In regards to the temp sensor install, I assume it is a Booster Plug or similar unit. I purchased a Booster Plug unit. The non-existent details on placement of the unit and cable routing of the different lengths of the cables only appears to suggest the longer connector cable goes to the air box sensor which allows running the unit out from under the tank and then running the new sensor from there out somewhere as you did. Is that about it?

    Will your changes still be ok for the MOT?

    • @RedGrandy1
      @RedGrandy1  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +RevvedUpBiker At this moment in time, the emissions during a motorcycle MOT are not checked. When this will change I can not say, let's hope it's a good few years off. RS.

    Whilst I acknowledge that you exhaust mod is cheap, you still have the big, heavy and ugly exhaust on the bike. And of course you can't change it back when you sell the bike. Just saying.

      Thanks for your comments. Yes it's still a big, heavy but slightly lighter silencer, until a decide which after market pipe to go for. Also I managed to pickup - second hand silencer, Ebay, zero miles as new, £15 - if I ever wish to put it back to stock. RS

    Cats are there for a reason, think a little how your children/grandchildren will breath in the future. You probably dont care dont you?

    • @RedGrandy1
      @RedGrandy1  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      "Cats" on motorcycles do not alter the emissions, as they have no plating on them. Their purpose is purely to do with sound.
