Hi Ian just discovered your channel. Fantastic work and nicely delivered. Extremely helpful to me as I have a tiger, same age as yrs and ironically a Royal Enfield too.
Morning Ian, thank you for this it’s going to be very useful, my Bonneville is now 18 months old and I will like you be taking care of it myself when the warranty is up, not only because of the cost but my local Triumph dealer has had my bike in 3 times and it’s come back twice with things not right so I don’t have any confidence in them anymore, if I do it myself I know it’s done with care, all the best buddy 👍
Hi Mike Glad to help 👍 I prefer to work on my own bikes. For one thing, you know it’s actually been done properly, and it’s the best way to really get to know your bike in the event that there’s an issue. And it saves a lot of time and money 😁 Take care mate and ride safe 👍
Great video thanks for the information this should be a great help as my tiger 900gt was due last year it’s now on 14000’miles I did get it serviced by a independent mechanic and my book stamped, but am yet to tackle the valve clearance check which for the price the dealer wants I think I will be tackling the job myself at some point 👍
Hi Alan Thank you, great to hear that you enjoyed the video and have found it helpful 😁 Good luck with your valve clearance check, well worth doing it yourself and saving a whole lot of money compared to using the dealer 👍
Thanks for getting back to me Ian also watched your video on the scan tool so will be looking at getting 1 of them shortly and will be doing photo shots of the job as I do it as a reference to to work done 👍
Absolutely excellent, I’ve been hunting for useful information for my Tiger Sport 1050 (2020) for months…. Needless to say, I have already signed up…. Really useful video…. Thank you….
@@tigerness5555 Oh yes, exactly what I have been looking for, as previously mentioned this channel has a habit of making me spend money, always in a happy sense 😀, Thanks once again.😀😀👍👍
Did the 12000 service on my last Tiger 900. The shims were all in spec. Only gets tricky if they need adjustment. You will need a full day to do the service as so much stuff has to come of to get at the valves. I use dealertool to reset the service spanner. Good vids keep up the good work. Andy
Hi Andy Yes it’s very similar to my old Tiger 800, when I did the 12,000 mile service all the shims were in spec. Hopefully the 900 will be the same when I check them over the winter months. I have TuneECU to reset the service light (could this be a future video 🤔). Great to hear that your enjoying my videos 😁👍
Its about time. Couldn't find anything for my son's Triumph America a few years ago. I've been used to tons of free info for Guzzi and Harley so it was a shock. Now we need to give Enfield a huge hint !
Great to hear that you’ve found the video helpful. Yes wouldn’t it be great if more manufacturers did the same, but I suppose that’s where the dealers make most of their money 🤣
Hi Paul Great to hear that you enjoyed the video and found it interesting. Also enjoying the channel 👍 The wee Enfield is so reliable that nothing goes wrong with it to make a video about 🤣
@@tigerness5555 Can I just say Ian, I've done the 30 minutes tick over on my Interceptor 650 which has a DNA Air Filter, reverse cone megas, and I've got a fuel X lite system on, and after following up on what you said, it runs better than ever, I only ran it for 12 minutes on tick over before, but 30 minutes has made a difference for sure, Many thanks 👍 Cheers Paul
Hi Mark I’m well thanks for asking. Yes it’s definitely useful information for modern Triumph owners like Mike and myself. Looking forward to seeing your new bike shed, I know where you’re going to spend the winter months 🤣 Take care 👍
The bike I bought before the Tiger I ordered With the service manual, which was provided in printed form. To me, the "you're allowed to rent this technical information" feature of Triumph is abhorrent. Even with it they'll cancel their warranty unless services are performed by a "certified partner". Triumph tries to be as evil as Apple, and surely hostile to owners. It is perhaps softening the blow that you actually can access this stuff, but I really detest Triumph policy in this regards - I'll never buy a Triumph again because of this alone. Thank you for sharing this anyway.
Hope you enjoyed the video. As my bike will be out of warranty in a few weeks time I don’t have any problem paying a small amount to gain the correct information should it be necessary. I’ll save a huge amount of money by doing all the servicing myself, I also hate going to the dealers. As for the warranty, Triumph are no better or worse than all the other manufacturers.
😱scary, that’s exactly why I do my own servicing. I know it’s done properly and I save loads of money. Hope you enjoyed the video and found it helpful 😁👍

Nice touch by Triumph🥰
It sure is, I don’t know of any other manufacturer doing this.

How do you get rid of the service warning light if you service the bike yourself
I do have an answer to your question, but you’ll have to wait until the 17th September before that video comes out 🤣
ECUTune or DealerTool can do it, depending on model.
I just had my 12k service done at Triumph and it was £900
