    Can we please get a guided tour about the pilot comfort on A350, such as seat reclining and adjusting, table, footrest, and escape plan through the window?

    I’m an ATPL student. I just finished phase one theory. I’d like to leave my thought. First of all thanks for the video, for me it was like I was there with you guys. The most interesting part for me was the FMS set up. I spent a lot of time learning all the little functions and sometimes it’s difficult to remember everything for someone like me who has never flown. But after having seen your video I was so happy because yes.. I know what you guys are doing. And this is great to know for me... 😂 I’m extremely happy and lucky to have the chance to be a pilot in training. I hope to be sitted on the right very soon. Thanks for your video, it gave me even extra motivation.

    • @rivsol
      @rivsol 4 ปีที่แล้ว +36

      Rasmus Hundevadt what’s so wrong with putting digital inputs rather than mechanical controls? As long as pilots are in control, they are manually piloting the aircraft. Boeing fans are just too ignorant of this detail.
      Trust me, they’re both safe to fly with. The only thing why airbus is better is that it provides comfort for the pilot.

    • @bjornpilot
      @bjornpilot  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      OperatorJack Thank you. It’s very straightforward and easy when you know in what sequence you should do things. You also need to be flexible, like when waiting for the flightplan do download to the fms. Instead of waiting doing nothing we check the log and the recall/dispatch. That’s clever working!
      Some small parts are missing, for example how we download the flightplan to the efb, via internet. Then copy paste to the lido for charts and route. I’ll show this in another video. 😉

    Hi Bjorn, I wonder do you prefer flying the A350 or the aircraft I saw you fly previously, the A340?

    Hello, I like your videos. Please get GoPro and attached to the cockpit...one from your overhead another one on the dashboard...so you can have two hands to carry out the necessary things.

    Love the videos,admire the skills of pilots.But the reliance on computers is absolutely frightening!

    The fact that they basically have a built in computer as one of the displays is why the A350 is the best cockpit in the fleet!

    Are you still able to prepare and fly the aircraft without these computers? Manually filling up a flight plan, manually calculation of weight and balance, speeds etc?
    Or will it take hours?

    When I look at your preflight, I can’t believe how far aviation has come. In my time, you were in the big league when your plane had an RMI. Do you still do NDB approaches? I Remember for my first instrument check ride, I asked to demonstrate a non precision approach right down to the MDA and must say I enjoyed NDB approaches. Thank you again for your informative videos.

      We do ndb approaches but they are programmed in the FMS and flown ILS look a like. With crossbars on the adi.

    Very nice and clear video, thank you for sharing. Just one question: is there anybody or anything that may supervise if are incorrect or over range data entry ?

    • @bjornpilot
      @bjornpilot  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We are checking each others entries and they are also checked automatically by the plane in some ways. "Xcheck with avionics" after we have entered all the loading data. 🙂

    So essentially modern airplanes are just big computers, you get a keyboard, windows, internet explorer and all the programs control the autopilot

      No,they are much more then that. They are aerodynamic and structural masterpieces.
