The Cursed Rouge
1: You must visit Plunder Outpost and visit the order of souls lady. To the left side of her there will be a book, vote for that book to start the mission. Your task after listening to her story will be to find two items. One skeleton key and one chest (it doesn’t matter what order you do just do it). These locations are random but always take place in the “Ancient Isles”. (using the photos as a guide look for clues in the text)
IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING JUST LISTEN FOR THE SKELTEON DIALOG, IF YOU HEAR THAT YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE
2: While heading for the skeleton key will need to take down a crew of skeletons and a mini boss. Once you clear the skeletons the key should drop, if it does not.. dig around the area that you found the skeletons.. you should find it
3: To obtain the chest you will need to follow the locations shown on the maps then clear a crew of skeletons… once defeating the skeletons (usually surrounding “gold tooth”) you will need to flip to a page where it shows some skeletons holding a chest near a statue/painting. (this will ALWAYS be close to where you took down the skeletons) dig in that location to uncover the chest
4: Once obtaining the key and the chest, head back to plunder outpost and deliver the items in the chest to the Order of Souls lady. She will then upgrade those items to a enchanted compass.
5: When you receive the compass follow its location until you reach an island (the island will be located in the Wild Sea’s) Once you arrive at the right island look around until you hear brigssy talking.
6: Once you have located briggsy you will start a boss fight. She is one of the toughest skeleton lords and has a lot of moves. Her first new move is a roar attack. She will usually do an animation and you'll be thrown back far. Her new second move is a teleport move. She also has guns and swords and can summon more skeletons. (remember to bring a supply of food YOU WILL NEED IT)
7: Once you defeat briggsy you will need to pick up her skull and return it to the Order of Souls lady (on plunder outpost) to complete the quest.

Synicall I’ve completed the shroud breaker quest but the book is not in the order of souls? I have the accommodation for completing shroudbreaker but I did not get all the journals. Do I need to get all the journals for this quest to show up?

While I was doing this I had the key already and I went to the other island to grab the chest when sweats in a galleon said they were friendly and just wanted the light on my boat but what I didn’t know is that they stole my key so i ran away at first until I realized it was missing along with my skull so I snuck on their boat while they were doing a skull fort and stole 6 Skulls, got my key back, a skeleton chest, 8 captains chests and I hope that they learn their lesson not to be toxic and steal from someone with waaay less loot then them.

Me and my friends usually leave player sloops alone if we are on a galleon, 4 vs 1 isn't really entertaining, unless the sloop attacks us first
5:31 About difficulty, her difficulty scales with the type of ship you take, for example with the Galleon she becomes a bullet sponge monster. With a sloop she becomes ridiculously easy to beat and barely takes any effort.
Id like to know the location of all the journals lol. Especially those which unlock the golden briggsy sails

The island for the key is at Shark Bait island and the chest is at Thieves haven you should also know that you do need to do a bit of exploring for the skeletons to start talking

I have played this once so far and have Briggsy was in the Shores of Plenty, specifically Mermaid’s Hideaway.

I spent 3 hours, beat Briggsy, and die to a random skeleton ship and lose everything. I am really not happy. 😞
Edit: An easy way to defeat Briggsy is to use your ships cannons!

I did the shroudbreaker 4 times each time failing at the end until the most recent where a kraken attacked us and I spent 20 minutes rowing to an outbost

Hey great video but the first skeleton didn’t drop it so I did wat u sed I dig around and dig up the skeleton chest not the key can you help me
Someone killed me while I had the key and now I can’t find it
Even time I try this it’s the third attempt I was so close I was at the last step and player sunk my ship
use your check point go to your ship go to quest table vote for a quest select tall tales then it should start you at your last check point. the first time i did this i died doing art of the trickster all i needed to do was fight the three coral captains but sadly the killed me i lost the totem i needed so i was able to restart checkpoint and the totem spawned on my ship
When she doesn't give you a compass
The fights in each of these chapters, especially with Brigsy, are scaled in difficulty according to the size of your crew, so consider doing this one solo. I've done it 3 times, once alone, once in a duo and once with a crew of three, so I can confirm.
That's how literally all skeleton fights are lol been that way since launch. They even said it in their stream video that the difficulty ranges based on crew sizes
It took me something like 2 hours for the boss fight
I have tip ifmyou ever decide to retry the mission, use blunderbuss and before you engage drop off a gunpowder. Good luck!

thanks for the guides! Little tip if anyone doing this alone like ive just did, I brought 3 kegs with me that I found while doing the other parts of this quest. Yeah I know its dangerous (just throw them overboard if someone is about to attack you I guess). Makes the boss really easy. ive exploded all 3 kegs on him and fired my 5 shots from my pistol and he died. took about 2 min :D

@@TheMathias95 2 hours to get the items 1. I suck 2. Kraken thats all I have to say and 3. Pirates, it was just a unlucky day for me.
The quest has kinda changed, for example, you don't hear the noises of skelettons in the begining anymore. I had personnaly to walk all over the devil's ridge moutain to hear em. I reccomand you to use the wiki as help.
I spent that whole time doing the quest then as I was sailing back to deliver the skull I cancelled the quest🤯

Where we fought her she spawned at Discovery Ridge and she is incredibly hard to fight and if she would tone down on those damn skeletons I think I need a broadsider

I had incredible luck woth the shroudbreaker, only seeing one pacifist ship. But in this one, first thing i see is not only a kraken but a ship in it, the ship killed me...

there is one spot that you can get stuck on trying to find the chest only if the book shows the skelly's digging on a road me and a friend spent an hour and couldn't find the road so we just switched servers until we got a different location and did it.

It's random and different for everyone, you have to use the clues given to find it.

For the gold tooth mission it says a big island in the western ancient seas and I have no idea where that is I’ve looked everywhere
My brigs was under the map and I killed her because you could bring her to where you can see her head and I killed her but the skull was under ground
What I got the key and went to the island with the chest and when I got there the pirate name wasn’t gold tooth and then there wasn’t any page to show where the chest was please help
If you are going for the eye curse, do you need to do everything prior to fighting Briggsy for each of the 5 times ?

I was so close, i was playing solo and had the chest unlocked and I was almost at plunder outpost and a skeleton ship spawned on me and sunk me, I don’t normally have a problem with skeleton ships but they didn’t miss a single cannon shot :(

Bare in mind IF you were a player on the INSIDER BUILD, you had access to ALL these new quests and content for months (even before the Anniversary update came out). I myself already completed these on the insider and now I get to redo them again on the Main game. (plus now we are not under NDA for THIS content so people can talk and upload about it.

The book is on a small table to the left of the Order of Souls lady at Plunder Outpost. It should show up once the Shroudbreaker; no journals are required.
