It really is. When I was a fairly new pirate, I merged into an accidental server alliance full of reapers. One came to us(me and a random guy I found on the sea who joined my boat) and asked us to join. We did FotD like 7 times and then did glitterbeard after. It was so in-line with what had happened that night a different experience to what I was used to. Definitely my most memorable experience in SoT and is a big part of why I fell in love with the game. I used to want pve servers back then and it made me realize that it would've meant nothing if it could happen at any time. The fact it was a rare experience is what made it special!

All the party boat and midnight blade stuff. They’re all really solid cosmetics and relatively obtainable as long as you have 1 friendly encounter with another crew. It also just feels good to check each commendation off the list. It was my first set to complete too😂

Fortunately i love going after skelly ships and completed this grind while you could still have 3 waves of 2 skellies by fleet solo. Scooping loot the old way while 2 aimbot gallies hammer at you was for sure a formative expérience x)
Thank. You. I just came back from a break and had no idea the old season pass rewards were re-added for doubloons (The wiki has no mention of it). The Ferryman figurehead is the only figurehead I've genuinely ever wanted to buy, but had no chance to finish the battle pass due to IRL. I even asked Rare for it since I had bought the pass. Now I have my Ferryman figurehead to complete my theme of Ferryman outfit (yes, the controller one) and Ghost Captain's Sails.
Here's a little known tip about insider, it's not always capped at one hour per week. Sometimes you can get it twice in one week if there are multiple updates within that week.

I wish they had a curse that happened to your pirate that sticks with you because of something you did in the season, and then you have to do another quest to heal it for the next season. Like partially turning into a skeleton like Tanya. A curse that wasn’t merely a cosmetic that you equip.
Eh, considering the only real form of progression in this game is cosmetics, it would kinda suck to be stuck with a curse that potentially detracts from or ruins your fashion.
i find the gold hoarder curse a really grindy but worthwhile curse. By exploiting the checkpoints, you can steamroll it in as little as an hour. before then it was WAY more tedious
I'm honestly wanting some of the cosmetics that we have seen but aren't released. Like the original red/white/gold sovereign ship set, the green and blue sea serpent ship set, and a bunch of other barred cosmetics.
Are the various bits of the Ashen Dragon Set still available? Ya know the things you get for opening Ashen Chests and turning the Tomes you find within. I got SOME of them a few years back and really want to complete the set.
You know how they did the monkey island memento spots I’d love to see those throughout the entire map and have them in places from the trailers or cinematics they release and you can link a commendation to it and maybe a certain cosmetic set maybe rare themed with the logo idk or camera themed I guess I think that would be a nice thing to do I mean you could to the ghost thing from monkey island too like playing a bit of the trailer as a vision
absolutally despise Rare for brringing back the fort of the damned figurehead for people to buy with dubloons when it was such a grind to get before, and was actually a rare thing to own.
Dude I’m so thankful I got the ghost captain skulls when the diving to forts first started. You could literally get them in 10 ish minutes when it came out but I heard that patched it.
let's not forget the ashen dragon cosmetics that you can earn from selling ashen tomes and the like, i myself have the entire ashen dragon set on my sloop called "ashen winds"

Curse of Sunken Sorrow does not require you to find all journals anymore. I think it becomes available to vote a soon as you get 1 of the sunken kingdom commendations.
I thought fishing was bad until i started doing it for the title. Its not bad at all compared to getting the gold animal sails. So many missing keys and ships!
I think it’s dumb that the new weapons get only three skins to get at the outpost and they are even only optainable through comandations! And we get more skins to buy for rl money

How is that spyglass not practical the one you get from crooked masts I love it the skull helps you to see through the fog sorry it's the truth it says on it aswell that you don't have to look at what it's showing, awesome only thing is every time I die it changes my spyglass back to the wild 🌹 one you should be able to save cosmetics cause every time there is events sometimes there is a glitch where your clothes aren't on and your emotes are gone so you have to go through it all again your title and stuff it's a joke sorry for the long sentence 😁
Don't bother with the stone curse, it's NOT worth it. You just look absolutely pale, can somewhat work with specific cosmetics (Looks good with the Sawbones cosmetics) maybe if the tattoos stayed I'd like it a lot more...

important thing to mention for the barnacled chests ist that skeleton captains chest, which you get from fleets do not count

The 100 vaults to this day is the longest grind I've done, good luck to anyone doing it I think I'd rather get all my hourglass levels all over again

Imo, the easiest way to grind barnacle chests is the map board. Around like 1/3 of the chests i get from it are barnacled lol

I got lucky I achieved pirate Legend just as somebody invited me to do glitter beard it was my favorite day ever in the sea of Thieves
I grinded ancient coins to get the Flying dutchman figurehead, and now I really gotta get the silent barnacle thing to "complete" the set

For sunken kingdom you can just dive to the voyage now I think, no need for all 30 journals anymore
