I remember being taught how to de nail wood. That was one of my main jobs when I was a young apprentice. Hahaha brings back memories.

Hey there Peter, Im getting back into my channel again. ATM all the new content is mostly about laser engraving however I want to do more DIY, woodworking, woodturning, tool reviews and stuff with the kids. If you have any special requests please let me know and I will see what I can do

Could you use a angle grinder to cut off those nails in the beading/skirting boards ?

      Great question.
That all depends on what you want to reuse the beading for and if you are likely to be re-machining it or not.
If you are just going to paint it again that is a definite option.

Hi, if I’ve got a few areas where tongues / top and bottoms of the grooves have split but not detached from the board, could I try using pva to fix these areas?

Theoretically yes. A glue joint can stronger than the timber itself.
You want to make sure you scrape any build up off before you lay the boards as you don’t want lumps of glue preventing a tight joint between boards.
Also you would may want to consider using pva for outdoor use incase your boards get wet you don’t want the joint to soften
