    Injection system may be clogged before going in to combustion chamber. You are showing what liquid cleans dirty spark plugs. injectors are not clogged by carbon because there is no carbon in fuel tank. Injectors are clogged by rust and other rubbish from the fuel tank. There is many injectors cleaners on the market. You can add half bottle when your fuel tank is close t reserve make few miles and top up. (Do not use cleaner with full tank of fuel because it will not clean much).Every time you stop the engine with some cleaner inside injector it dissolve some dirt. Thanks for reading my comment. Hope that helps.

      I've put Berrymans B12 up against other brands like Lucas and seafoam lol 🤣 and gumout is the only one that is a good alternative. Berrymans is also great to run in crankcase for about 20 minutes before oil change it really cleans up your engine and their carb and throttle body cleaner is awesome it takes less because it eats carbon build up so much quicker. If you have an older carbureted engine pour directly in as you work the throttle and it will clean the hell out of everything lol 🤣 great video

    I love B12. When I inherited my dad's '87 Chevy Silverado it had been sitting for a few years due to his illness. Mom drove it regularly and said she kept fresh fuel in it. She knew it had dual tanks but she didn't see that it had fuel filler doors on both sides, so in reality it only had fresh gas in the left tank.. When I got low on the left and flipped to the other it sputtered and died. The gas cap on the right tank smelled like lacquer thinner. I poured 8 cans of B-12 into the 3 year old gas and I was able to drive it out and refill with fresh gas. It got me home from Oklahoma to New Orleans where I had an injector cleaning service done. I swear by that stuff.

    Here’s a thing to make note of the b12 breaks down carbon very aggressively as in all your tests which is fine if you are going on a road trip or something the car can get it out. But the gumout turns the carbon to a liquid which is much easier for the injectors to pass but also to exit the exhaust. Just a thought for everyone tuning into stuck between the two. Great video!

    B12 is some powerful stuff...I would only use it if I could run through the whole tank in short order. I have an old ford bronco I keep at the ranch. regularly added B12 when I'd bring out 5 gallons or so at a time for it. In time, it ate up the entire plastic float for the fuel gauge; probably scoured the interior of the tank lining too. I ended up replacing the fuel tank. Now I use seafoam on that truck.

    I would suggest weighing eat spark plug before and after and then measuring how much lighter each one got after the treatment , because you can't be sure how much Gunk they each had. Like if I each plug had different amounts of buildup because each cylinder might have been firing differently running either richer or leaner.

    A cleaner with PEA is what you really need if you want anything in the combustion chamber cleaned. It's about the only cleaner that survives the combustion process. The more PEA, the better. Alternatively, water injection will help clean things up in the combustion chamber, but you have to be really careful with it so you don't hydro lock the engine. Personally, I've thought about water\methanol\alcohol injection. I just don't want to blow things up.

      Thank You! , Yeah, that B12 is some strong stuff. I like the Gumout in the can with pea, I couldn't find any at my Walmart, their auto supplies are getting thin these days. But I use them both probably an average of 3 to 4 times a year, plus I use mostly top tier fuel. Clean fuel, clean oil, makes for a happy engine 🤣. Thank's for the Feedback!👍 Take Care!

    I noticed the Berryman can says fuel injector cleaner while the Gumout says fuel system cleaner. Is that just a marketing thing? ---EDIT--- Ok, I can see the Berryman can more clearly on Amazon and it does state that it works on the entire fuel system. One thing I would be interested to see in this experiment is before and after on an obd scan tool. Like I would assume that if your fuel injectors were cleaned than the car's computer would compensate somehow and you see that result somewhere in the scan tool. Thanks!

    • @WhipCityWrencher
      @WhipCityWrencher  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depending on how dirty they were. You probably could see some difference if you had the right live data scan tool, but then you could only test one cleaner because if they came clean 1st time no need for another cleaning. What cleaner to try first🤔

When tank was again about a1/4 I added a bottle of octane booster and filled the tank up. I've been going now over 300 miles no light. I'm using octane booster second time. Right now I'm on just mid grade gasoline. Also gas consumption reduced to 20 mpg on conbined city and highway. My truck is straight 6 chevy 220k. Valve tickling went silent in the mornings starts.
