I spent almost the entire weekend making this video!! Lol this has to be my 1000th playthrough of SA2 at this point. This mod is really something else, almost everything is changed outside of the stage geometry. Texture and lighting looks sooo good. Also I really like the flying ramps in the kart races xD. 10/10 Also check out the chao gardens and Marble Zone! Completely new levels!

Imagine SEGA doing a Sonic and dash video game crossover also a Sonic and dash video game movie crossover now that will be amazing, outstanding and exciting if Sonic met dash in a another dimension it will be fantastic.
I really wish the new abilities could be it's own separate mod honestly. Mechs and Rouge flying is awesome and should be it's own thing. Also this is an impressive feat for sure but... Why was this made? The lengths gone to here just to make 'Slightly Different OC Adventure 2 Battle' astounds me. Like it's a lot of work and it is very ambitious but... Why?
This is what sonic adventure 2 would have been if Sega used dash instead of sonic in sonic 1. Honestly, I wish there were more hacks/mods like this. Seeing unused concepts finding life with fans is always great to see.
This isn't "Slightly different OC Adventure 2 Battle", this is a mod based on the concept of Feels the Rabbit (Sonic's Prototype design). Doing a bit of research doesn't hurt ya know?

Like why is Eggman different, he's the same concept even, just different for some reason. Why is Rouge different at all? Why is Tails different? Sonic being a rabbit would change Knuckles and Shadow at most, not really the rest of them. Also... What's the point? Why put _so much work_ into just making a mostly identical AU with mostly completely fanmade OCs replacing the characters? I guess to show off someone's OCs or so they could play with them, but why use the "Feels" prototype design guise for it when it's not really mostly relevant to that at all? We only had the rabbit drawing as a proto design, so why make an entire rando ensemble cast that has literally nothing to do with the rabbit concept? And why just give the rabbit speed powers and call him Dash, that's just Sonic but he's a rabbit. It quite literally is Random OC Adventure 2 loosely based on a single drawing with really good modding ideas locked behind it and not treated separately. That's what I was saying. Impressive work for sure, but the motives are just confusing to me is all.

You know, I mean this in probably the most respectful way I can, even though it sounds kinda shitty, but one thing that really holds these mods back when they add a new cast of characters, is getting good sounding voice actors and the quality writing/directing of their lines. Like, I know it's probably a free project, and not everyone has cutting edge recording equipment or sound booths or whatever to get the best quality recordings, and no one is probably professional in that regard either...but, the line delivery here by the cast is really, really bad. I can't help but cringe slightly because it sounds like all the actors are trying to do bad impressions of the characters they are replacing, I think they should have probably gone with different direction to make them something unique and natural sounding. (And yes I read the description and know this is using some prototype designs, kinda making this a neat alternate universe "what-if" sort of thing, but still the point stands.) Quality of voice acting is one of the hardest things to get right on these hacks and mods and really adds a level of polish that is necessary to make the characters believable. (And yeah, shoot me I guess, I am saying the weird sounding original cheesy lines and voices are better.) Everything else about this is amazing, love the custom models and texture work, making all the stages more unique and even the different mixes of the old tracks, gameplay changes that seem to make things more fun, it's all great, so kudos all around for those parts of the game.
Yo, is there a way to listen to these song covers featured in the mod? I've tried looking on TH-cam for music from Dash Adventure 2, and I can't find anything aside from normal videos of DA2. These tracks are super fire, and I'd want to listen to them in their glory

How the fuc do I play this? I placed it in the mod manager, but the game won't open. I even got a copy of steam SA2, but it keeps on saying "The code execution cannot proceed because steam_api.dll was not found." How do I fix it?
Is there any special way to install this mod or do you just drop it in the Mod Folder of the Mod Loader? It keeps crashing for me shortly after the title screen

Dash is based off feels the rabbit (proto sonic), so is not a simple OC.
