The matte finish screen protector is the best thing on the list. If you don't have it you'll go crazy cleaning fingerprints off your screen before every drive. Plus the anti-glare functionality. Drove our Model Y with and without, it's no contest. Great list.

Thank you. I just received my VIN for my Model Y LR. I live in Florida so I was excited to see that it is coming from Austin. I waited until January to order and watched the price of the car go up $10K just because I wanted a Giga Texas vehicle. During that time the delivery date went from July 15 to October. But now the date came back close to the original date. This story helped me with my shopping list. I always look for your latest videos.

Hmmm, I'm surprised you don't have a windscreen or roof sunshades on here. I can vouch that there is a ton of solar gain coming through those window areas (unless a window tint is applied).

How much customizing do you think would need to be done to use the seat back covers for the model Y in a model three?
everything I agree with cept maybe the mats. I like the tuxmat's alot better. More coverage and look just as good if not better.
The vents under the front seat of the model Y need covers to prevent objects from getting in a causing rattles.
There are various options for vent covers that I have seen. Purchased some on Amazon.
How about a Tesla CCS Combo adapter? While not officially for sale in the U.S., I was able to get one from a Korean company. Only works on mid2021 and later Teslas. Opens up more fast charging options, sometimes at lower cost. (I was able to charge my MYP at 45kwh for no cost near work).

What about the air intake filter inside by the front windshield. To prevent leaves and bring clean air. Is that an option?
Will the storage option below the seat restrict air flow to cool the batteries?
I use the Max3D floor mats and really love them. I don't have the trunk pieces but maybe it's time to invest in them too.
Just ordered mine as I was pretty impressed with the mats.
I like the three main pieces. The trunk pieces and third row on the seven seater are useless. Great mats overall but not the 9 piece order.
Do the underseat storage bins work under both seats or just the passenger seat?

Hepa filter for 3 is a bad idea. Puts stress on the HVAC system that it's not designed for. Otherwise, great suggestions, Ryan.

Some useful things there, Ryan, but what about easy-access sunglasses holders? It must be sunnier here in Queensland than California. This is an easy DIY fix, though, if you can find some matt black spectacle cases that match the interior. Just use double-sided body mounting tape to stick them either side of the steering wheel. They're almost out of sight, but flip down easily when you need to change from regular specs to sunnies.
Also for hot climates in summer, you'll need clip-in covers for the glass roof. TEMAI do a well made set which matches the interior trim, but I added a reflective & insulated liner to reduce the load on my aircon. Yes, it really is that hot in Queensland.
I recommend moving to Victoria
@@fayenotfaye that would work, but then I'd have to de-ice or de-mist the car in winter, as well as pay Vic's infamous EV road tax.

I'd add a tilting screen mount kit (I got the one from abstract ocean but I think there are others). It was annoying to install (due to screen connector cable being unreasonably stuck), but man is it great now that it's in! It might be a bit niche, but I've loved mine.
Does that mod break the warranty?

The full set of the 3D max spider mats is underwhelming. Get the driver, passenger and second row mats. Frunk is good. But everything is is meh for the price.

Floor mats, trunk mat, cup inserts, window tinting(ceramic) all you really need. Definitely don’t need a screen protector, They suck. I’d like to get a back seat cover for my dogs. And a heap filter. (Model 3 problems )
I thought the under seat organizers might be nice...until I saw the price!
I use an black Ikea SKUBB box. Not a perfect fit, but quite close.
I put security vests, alco-test (both required), batteriless flashlight, multi-tool in there. All stuff I never need during driving but want available in an accident or police stop.
Definitely getting that dash cover. Why they went with wood there is just so strange... here's a futuristic thing... with wood as an accent lol

Agreed, the fake wood looks so out of place. If you get the white seats, that trim is also white, but then it reflects into the side mirrors, so you have to cover the 15cm either end with matt black vinyl tape.

Does anyone use PPF for their car and which brand of PPF are you using and is it really worth it to have it done?
PPF and tint were my first upgrades. I drove straight from Tesla to the detail shop. If you value your paint it’s a worthwhile investment in my opinion.
Autopilot steering wheel weight is a must.

My BMW X3 came with a high quality retractable roll up type luggage cover. I took it off on day one and it has never been reinstalled. And yet, when the rumour went around on the Teslamotorsclub forum, that we who are fortunate enough to be collecting our MY LRs this week, may have a surprise in trunk. Sure enough, there it was, the parcel shelf, as we call the non returnable covers, and we are all ticked pink....go figure!
Regarding the accessories, unsurprisingly, many are manufactured by, or on behalf, of American companies who have not set up European distribution. I have purchased a couple or three items and found the shipping cost plus import tax and VAT payable here a quite punitive additional cost. So, I will have to take pass on some of those nice to have goodies.
it looks like from the picture the Tesla doesn't come with floor mats at all. If you get third party all weather floor mats you will need to make sure there is an anchor or Velcro to keep them from moving and covering the gas or brake pedal.

Hey I have a question. My wife and kids put a deposit on model Y for me Christmas 2021 they did this at the store with the understanding that I wouldn’t want it till August 2022 because I hoped for the 4680 battery version coming out of Texas. I received an email in March 2022 that my vehicle was ready. There is no option that I could find on the site where I could explain what we had agreed for delivery date so I went to a store and they understood made the change about delivery date. Fast forward to June and I get another email from Tesla telling me my vehicle is ready. This time I called and again explained things, I said my order was solid but may now want the performance version over the extended version. I said I would be coming to town in the next 2 weeks as we live northern Washington. When I get to the store they tell me my order canceled the day before and that I now have to pay the new price. All because I didn’t click a button on my email to accept a vehicle that I had already arranged to take in august. I explained my situation and was basically dismissed and case was closed. Has this happened to others and is there a solution. I didn’t cancel the order Tesla did but lost my deposit and now have to pay more. There is no customer support option to plead my case or get support. This sucks!!!

What about a radiator, grill screen? Fellow M3 owner just paid $900 to have a radiator replaced due to rock puncturing a hole and coolant leaking. Poor Tesla design to have unprotected radiator fins 4" from highways which are filled with debris (rocks, leaves, sticks, trash). Grill screen should help shield radiator and permit easy cleaning of obstructions such as leaves. Would be happy to listen to any drawbacks before I install the one I just purchased for less than $50.

Almost related. I'd love to see a cheaper competitor to ZipCharge. Leave it in the garage for everyday driving; put it in the trunk/hatch for road trips. We can plan recharges with Tesla's and/or PlugShare's map, but *just in case* - have a few miles of range in the trunk. It'd be cheaper & faster than calling a flatbed for a tow, or SparkCharge (if they're in the area). And we don't know exactly how much battery drain HVAC costs until it's done. Also, 'hours long' traffic jams cost battery power.

Screen protector for tesla is actually a completely useless product. Just because it's a screen, doesn't mean it needs a protector. We have screens on our tv's, and computers too, nobody puts a protector on it. The only reason, we put one on our phone is because it can fall down and break. Please don't waste 40$ on a screen protector for your car. I promise you don't need it.

A careless swing of a house key or a drink can/bottle; or a kid with a toy in hand coming to hang out in front while you charge are some things/scenarios that can leave you with a cracked screen.

@@joesolo7719 unlike the majority of screens in other cars the Tesla screen extends beyond the dashboard, whereas others are embedded in the dash. Also, it’s larger than the majority and is used much more often and regularly as most of the controls are in there.
