Dialga would probably like the hourglass. You usually have it in the active anyways, you use Greninja for card draw anyways, and you need a bunch of energies on it but can attack with only one if necessary
I don't care if it's not the best, that Kingdra ex is wicked and I'm going to use it

I recently had an idea for an ace-spec supporter and was wondering whether it would be trash or completely busted:
Ace-Spec
Supporter
When you play this card, choose one supporter card from your hand, deck or discard pile and use their effect.
If you searched your deck for a supporter in this way, put it in the discard pile and shuffle your deck.
Any thoughts?

Make it an item and it's easily busted
Loving the looks of this set. A couple cool things: you can potentially make a kingdra deck focused more on its second attack since there’s a seadra with swim freely. Downside is you’d need to have a tm evo build to get going quick, upside is that your “bax” is a basic lumineon and you don’t need to discard energy. Also, there’s a single prize kingdra that lets you choose yourself or your opponent and effectively “judge” them. Another fun interaction is you might could use copperajah to lock the ace spec stadium into play but with boss and vac its probably not worth it

Revavroom ex belongs in dialga vstar deck. He ohko pidgeot ex, lugia vstar, some water pokemon - for 1 energy

Ok I know this is a little off topic and I am so sorry but I really want to get into the online TCG format and I was wondering what Tricky Gym normally plays on when showing off his decks.
Haxorus and kyurem would be great addition in the regidrago deck and some nice niche attacks to the deck definitely looking forward to trying them out
Since 1996 I have ALWAYS tried to play poison decks. For the first time in a long while, this could be the first time they have gotten a lot of love across trainers item cards and Pokémon. Keen for this set to drop!

Slither Wings can also be a nice tech counter to Miraidon ex/Future Hands in Lugia
I think the Revaroom deck may be a fun deck to play. Maybe not meta but the format has a lot of mons that rely on 2 hit KOs. With a Rigid band they would have to hit 310 to OHKO and then you can hit for 250 and discard to avoid the counter KO. Promote Mikikyu or something disruptive. Would need Metang and probably 3-4 rods to work but seems like a fun deck to mess around with.

Regidrago gets to use Kyurem’s attack for a fire and 2 grass lol. In their blinding rage against Lost Box I think they missed that little fact lol.

I can’t wait to build a kingambit Pecharunt (non ex) shrouded fable deck it seems very viable pecharunt can put 5 damage counters on your opponents poisoned Pokémon during check up and kingambit make a Pokémon knocked out if it has more then 4 damage counters on it
Binding Mochi on Conkeldurr seems interesting. Makes it able to one-shot Lugia V-Star and Raging bolt + bravery charm
Would Dusknoir work with theGardevoir shell? You're already placing damage counters with Munkidori and Scream Tail so Dusknoir helps set up massive K.O. turns, Shadow Bind helps knock out smaller Pokemon for only 3 energy, and you have the combo of knocking Dusknoir out + Iono

That Revaroom deck is pretty cool. Use Power Hourglass on the new Revaroom ex you promote. You have the baby Revaroom. It will be hard to 2 shot Revaroom ex because he gets discarded before the second attack. It’s pretty cool.

240 hp feels too low to have any attach card on them, after the turn end indeed u will have 1 more energy but also ur opponent can just kill ur Ragin bolt no? (New in TCG, so cant say what i say is like, a very concern problem or its actually no problem RB go with Hourglass)
I also think it is good to consider haxorus and kyurem in the regidrago deck

Think that regular ursaluna can take the spot of a sandyshocks ex in a Raging bolt deck. Keep the teal mask.

Malomar could work if you bring up bibarel and ko it. You are very likely to brick your opponent with that combo in expanded lol

I was gonna buy an ETB of Twilight Mascarade, but now I wonder if it's better to wait and buy one of this set instead. What would suggest based the amount of playable cards for battling? I mostly just want whatever would be better value for playable cards.
I would say twilight mascarade because it has ogerpon and greninja and dragapult
Buy singles for playables, unless you really just wanna open something. Got every playable from temporal at a card shop yesterday for about $30.

If you only want playable cards AND you plan to go to irl events or something to actually play with them in decks, you should always, always just get singles. No question about it.
new revavroom is cool, the older one is cooler (4 tools is just an awesome concept)
i also have faith that tune up revavroom could totally end up broken one day if the tools smell right (binding mochi with them is a pretty noticeable idea)

Palafin ex's ability says that it can only be put into play through Zero to Hero so that wouldn't work, unfortunately.

Crobat is definitely bad. Stage 2 draw engines tend to be, since you need a lot of draw to set them up in the first place and they are very susceptible to gusting. Not only is Crobat a stage 2 draw engine, but it’s a stage 2 draw engine whose draw effect is conditional on another setup card, which you will probably need to rely on to accelerate energy to your attackers, meaning you will probably be down one or two Janines by the time you get Crobat up; otherwise, you likely won’t be able to attack. The draw engine effect needs to be EXTREMELY powerful to justify the lengths you need to go to to get one out, such as Pidgeot’s Quick Search. I will be shocked if this sees any sort of serious play. Janine itself is kinda sketchy, as an energy accelerating card that doesn’t do anything else; Sada’s Vitality is just kinda better. That said, it does look like it would be a really fun non-serious deck
might be a dumb question, but does japan compete in worlds or do the formats line up before worlds happen?
Japan does compete in worlds, usually they have to ignore their most recent set or two for worlds because that set hasn’t been released to the rest of the world yet

Big RIP Tinkaton ex. I wish they’d give us another pokemon with Dew Guard B or something similar so I can go back to playing my favorite deck and not have to worry about Xerosic and Iono.

I think you went a little too hard on Power Hourglass. It’s really good for every deck with an attacker that discards energy. It’s good in Chien Pao and Raging Bolt.
My Magcargo ex deck will make great use of this nighttime academy with team star grunt to do 420 damage every turn.

Which is huge in the meta, thanks to things like Raging Bolt and Chien-Pao, you can even combo it with Greninja ex too if you want to snipe with it.
The problem is, those cards have to live through the turn for it to matter

On the topic of dangerous lasers, let me say as someone who played during hypno-toxic laser days - YOU DON'T WANT THAT GAME.
If that card exists in the game, don't even bother playing. Just flip a coin. Call heads of tails. You'll have as much fun. So many games were just decided by the coin flips from that blasted card. I HATED it so much. It ruined the game for me.
