  • Welcome to the farm Radlerbauernhof Moser in the picturesque Mühlviertel region, Upper Austria! In this video, farmer Christine Moser shows you how to make Austrian farmer's doughnuts following grandma's recipe. This traditional fried yeast dough pastry is perfect for every occasion. It's easy to make at home.
    Ingredients:
    1 kg flour
    100 g sugar
    4 eggs
    1 packet of yeast
    2 tsp. salt
    500 ml warm milk
    rum, melted butter
    Preparation:
    Add salt to the flour. Mix eggs and sugar with milk and yeast.
    Whisk the liquid in the flour. Add butter and rum.
    Let the dough rest for 1 h. Form small balls, gently stretch the dough from the centre, so that each ball has a thin centre and a thick edge. Be careful! Unlike normal doughnuts, there shouldn't be a hole inside.
    Fry them in a frying pan at 180 °C.
