I was the one who waved at you guys on the Wild Mouse on July 4th! You are so right-the park got absolutely packed. We were there for four days and although they were packed, we still had had a great time, but it was the only time we could go due to work schedules. Great VLOG and I know what you mean about being there after the fireworks are over heavy traffic back in my hometown city of Orville it's the same way when they go their 4th of July fireworks after the fireworks are done you can easily have a 2 hour ride back home just from a short distance. I been to.Cedar Point during Halloweekends and they been overly crowded but you just have to pick the right time and as you mentioned just leave early before it's all good. Have a great day guys always enjoy your videos.
We were there on the 4th too! We left around 1PM, wanting to avoid the crowds. I am trying to break a lifelong fear of coasters (long story there) and it turns out I don't fit most of the ride test seats. Unfortunately Maverick is the only one that is plus size friendly so that's the next one that I am going to try on our next visit! Maybe that's why the line is always so long...
I totally saw you two on the back row of Millennium while in line. I am glad you and your son said hello to me on the 4th of July 2024 at the refreshment station at the Farmhouse. I did not get out of the parking lot till 12:30 A.M. on the 5th. I still cannot decide if the end of the night parking situation is worst: the 4th or a Saturday towards end of the Halloweekends season. The latest that I ever stayed at an amusement park was three weeks ago (the week after 2024 coastermania on a Saturday) at Kings Island (12:45 A.M). I went for The Beast's Night Ride after the fireworks show with my niece (The Beast is her fav at KI w/ Magnum being her all time favourite coaster) only to get an evacuation credit from the first lift hill.

I finally went there on July 1st, and did have plenty of room on Millennium Force test seat and actual ride. Steel Vegeanace lap bar was a painful experience, so is Blue Streak, ouch 🤕. Did Power Tower both sides, Raptor, Rougarou, Maverick, Maxair, Skyhawk and everything else. Will be going to Carowinds and Kings Island in Doswell Virginia in a week.
Kings Dominion is in Virginia. Kings Island is in Ohio. That trip from KD to Carowinds is no joke. I made that mistake to start the 2023 coaster season, and this year we just did Carowinds in April, and are going to KD in August. It's 7.5 hrs from home to KD. It's 8.5 hours to Carowinds. It's 5.5 hours from KD to Carowinds.
I think even IF CP has a good idea when TT2 will reopen……they won’t say because they know a lot of people will hold off on a trip to the Park till then.

I will agree that CP owes us another update on TT2, hint hint Tony. But I have a feeling that their legal team is advising them to stay quiet. They probably would of been better off going with Itamin for the project at this point. Millennium Force is the most reliable Intamin at the park
@@Spike-sk7ql hindsight is 20/20. although going with intamin still would’ve been a massive mistake no question. why risk millions on a company with over 30 years of rides that don’t work
Early entry is where you can get into the park early and ride select rides. Early entry is only available to prestige pass holders and when you stay at one of the cedar point owned resorts.
I got my kids all season fastlane just for this ride specifically. I emailed cedar point about what they plan to do to make it right and wont get replies back. The secret approach makes it even worse.
@@LaurenRusso-lw8lm I mean.... you still got all season fast lane for the rest of the rides. It's not like CP isn't full of world class coasters. Just because one ride is down doesn't really justify any special actions on the parks part. If you're like me, you got the platinum pass (all parks passport) and have used it at other parks where fast lane is actually good. Like KI, you might wait 5 mins for a ride if the regular line is an hour, and every fast lane goes straight to the station unlike CP with Millie, and Vengeance.
I wonder why they only let you get to stay in your seat for 1 reside when no one is in your row. The seat would just remain empty so it’s not be like you would be hurting anyone by staying on. I would think they would rather have a person in the seat rather than it remain empty. I would like to know the rationale behind this rule.
Pretty sure it has to do with the number of guests that are counted for each coaster. Maybe it takes away from an accurate representation of total riders.
@@flutterworksdigitalmarketi2557 I guess it's all in where you park, and try and go out. I never have to wait. Just jump straight on to perimeter road, and follow it straight out. The causeway may have a lot of traffic, but I never have any issues getting out of the parking lot.
I wouldn't call intamin completely unreliable, but they do have technical issues from time to time like all machines do. The new Intamin coasters (Velocicoaster... ect.) are much much better than how TTD was. They could have went that route, but I know that the parks relationship issues were much of the reason why they didn't go with Intamin again. Yes Zamperla needed a shot, and it's sad that they are feeling the growing pains hard and fast like this. The park just needs to communicate better about it all. That will settle everything down.
@@BeachcliffStudios It's not about the money, it's about proper maintenance. Tuttis is very reliable since time was spent maintaining it, and learning what it needs. Just like CP did with TDD with he overnight crews Highly technical rides require this, no matter who built them. So saying "money" is an excuse, CP proved that they were already spending the money...
@@fishels3895 Yeah I agree to a point. Zamperla wanted to get into the big coaster business so someone would have needed to give them a shot. I think this specific ride is a much higher bar than I think they realized. Especially with the forces. Their new trains are untested even if they are engineered for the forces. They don't really know until they get them running.
Hey guys!! Wanted to share with you that CP just refunded my purchase for my 2024 season fast lane pass due to top thrill 2 closure! If you were like me and got it for this ride, they will refund you if you reach out to customer support but I think I may have gotten lucky because I have only went to the park once this year
Comment Not intended for beach cliff studios, I know you both will get your passes regardless but is for anyone in the comments possibly in my same spot.
I know this is an unpopular opinion, but all they needed to do was fix the brakes. They should've kept the original. Maybe I'll feel different if I ever actually ride TT2.
@@BeachcliffStudios The brakes were the reason for the final closure. If you fix the brakes and stuff, it would open more often than not even with its lower reliability. That still beats what we're seeing with TT2 every time.
@@virginiacapitalcoasters7033 you’re confusing a couple things. The brakes were never an issue. And the final closure was all about maintenance costs, nothing else
@@BeachcliffStudios Here's where I'm lost. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the issues became overwhelming when a wheel collided with a brake fin, leading to said brake fin falling from its position and hitting a guest based upon what I've read/heard. Admittedly, my following of the industry is on and off, so I may have missed some critical details. Additionally, you're saying they would've saved TTD in its old form, but the only thing stopping them was high costs? I lack an understanding here, because this argument seems to imply that it was genuinely less expensive to almost completely change the ride. Although I could see that, it feels almost impossible for that to be true.
You can bet that Intamin would NOT be having issues with the trains. Meaning, beyond some stupid little faults that might put it down for an hour or 2 a week, people would be riding tt2 now if it was Intamin that did it.
@@BeachcliffStudios so the ride would be up now then. Minus a couple stupid fault codes, it would be running every day that it's been down so far because of the trains. I just can't understand CPs thinking here. They literally went... "Lets fix our problematic prototype roller coaster by hiring a company who's tallest coaster is around 150', and fastest is 56 mph... oh yeah, and let's let them use their own prototype train, that they are going to have to make modifications to so it will be even more of a prototype train!" And then leadership went... "Genius!!! Let's do it!"
@@JJJJ-he8bz the point was that Intamin rides have gotten more reliable. The new ones have little issues, that result in hours of downtime. Where is the Intamin ride thar has had to shut down for 2 months and counting, with structural issues with the trains?
@@Spike-sk7ql so why is Kingda Ka down with a hydraulic leak and snapped cable?😂 why is formula Rossa currently down? How’d they do with shot the rapids nearly drowning someone? Why is Superman at Magic Mountain down? Gotten better my ass.
@@BeachcliffStudios if only cedar point could make sure their rides stayed open. If the effort is what’s lacking then that falls squarely on cedar point imo.
@@BeachcliffStudios the thing is, what type of "issues" have the new Intamin rides had? Programming? Sensor issues? Small faults that result in a couple hours of downtime? Or have they had MAJOR structural issues with their trains? Where is the newer Intamin ride that has been open to the public for 8 days, and then down for 2 months with no word on when it may be back up?
First off, take this as constructive and with the intention of optimal outcome for you: I came to say i bought a prestige pass with all add ons for my significant other and i through CP, we were invited to media day, went to prestige passholder preview, opening weekend, and 22 times since, and I think you've got a lot to do to get back on the park's good side. The only reason i mention this is because i know youve tried to bury the hatchet with Tony to get invited to things but you seem to lack the self awareness in the moment of what you do that sabotages those opportunities. If you've given up hope of getting back on the park's good side, i get it, but just remember there are supportive pages like CP Rundown and then there are vocal critics of the park like Jeff who runs PointBuzz and they were both at media day. So you could learn a thing or two from them as far as situational awareness and how to convey opinion without stepping on toes. You have to admit that they both must be doing something right that you're not and i think it is the manner in which they express their criticisms. Have a great day!
They suck up and need cedar point, we don’t need cedar point being a channel that isn’t specifically about that park. We’re doing something right by creating an honest trustworthy channel that says what needs to be said. Somehow we knew that tt2 was going to have issues when nobody at media day figured it out. We’ll gladly be friendly with whoever but we won’t lie or sugarcoat for them
So you're saying you knew something about TT2 that no one else did? The way you are trying to take credit for predicting the problems, which were widely predicted since the day Zamperla was announced as the manufacturer is bizarre. And again, Jeff is plenty critical of the park and still gets invited. He is honest, and he doesn't sugarcoat. If you listen to the rundown on fun you'll hear plenty of criticisms. My point is you lack the self awareness to recognize the right way to go about critiquing the park while not burning bridges and you would only benefit by learning from that. Your response shows a very close-minded view on everything I said and it seems that you are less open to criticism than the park would be to yours. I have had plenty of negative feedback and I've gone about it the right way, which is why I'm invited to events, but I'm not a content creator. The nuance of knowing how to do it is the thing. El Toro Ryan has a whole bunch of problematic videos about the park's coasters and plenty of inside sources but he seems to go about things in a way that I highly doubt CP has any problems with him. On the other hand, when youtubers make T shirts that rip off the park, even if it's promoting a new ride, that takes money off their bottom line. Lastly, are you saying that you aren't going to try to get invited to media/content creator/invite only events by the park anymore? Because everything I said was based upon the failed attempt to bury the hatchet and it'd be foolish to be as tone deaf as you are and still try to get on the park's good side. In the very least you'd be best to at least consider what I'm saying rather than waiting until so many parks give you the cold shoulder that you start to realize maybe it is you. I think you really ought to read about the fox and the grapes, because it seems like all you did in your response was tell me the grapes you couldn't get were sour, and as I eat them I tell you, it's not to disparage you and it's not to be mean, I just want to share these grapes because they're pretty fricken sweet.
@@BeachcliffStudios if I can afford a couple prestige passes with all the add on's, 25 visits and multiple overnight stays, and I don't have to purchase through Canada's Wonderland, I'd venture to say your attempts to throw an attack at my character by speculating on my time, income, and the use thereof failed tremendously.
Could it be..that Zamperla got this thing open and used live test dummies..now not saying those who rode are dummies..a term of words only..cos they had absolutely no proof or experience in making or building anything like this..and they was lucky enough no one was hurt and so they had no choice but to shut it down ? Talking abt a lawsuit.. So its easy to say..even if they figure it out, Zamperla was a very bad idea..? Maybe not in the design of the track and new additional layout..but, in the way it runs peroid..I think the trains is the issue..and Intiamin is the only one who can fix it properly.. After all they gave birth to it..zamperla is just a step mom w no experience. CP is losing a lot of money over this ride..Think abt it. To help set off the cost of lost revenue..Zamperla should build a dump tank..3 balls $ 3.00 ..ya throw till ya knock someone in the tank..Put zamperlas CEO...CP CEO..and Tony Clark as those to knock down. Doubt the legal team has anything to do with their silence. Just seems like what they do
intamin has gotten “better” with reliability but you still can’t trust them to deliver. all of their newer rides still have some pretty wild downtime
@@coastingalong has one been down for 2 months because of structural issues with the trains though?

What is early entry? Who is it available for and how much does it cost? Thanks for any help.
Early entry is where you can get into the park early and ride select rides. Early entry is only available to prestige pass holders and when you stay at one of the cedar point owned resorts.
And also if you have gold pass with all park passport
It costs $350 for the prestige pass. Or you can stay at the resort for early entry which costs like $500 per night.
@@zachjones2346we stay at express which was about $200 a night.
I got my kids all season fastlane just for this ride specifically. I emailed cedar point about what they plan to do to make it right and wont get replies back. The secret approach makes it even worse.
Ugh. Not a good look for cedar point at all
@@LaurenRusso-lw8lm I mean.... you still got all season fast lane for the rest of the rides.
Parking lot was HORRIBLE in preferred parking I got real lucky it had to take a couple hours for others to get out that night
Been to Cedar Point countless times at night, never waited more than 10 minutes to get out of parking lot. Not sure what people are talking about
It’s the 4th. It takes forever
Pantheon is down all the time. Velocicoaster is more reliable because universal has the money to sink into keeping it running as much as possible.
@@AlanJohnsrudZamperla never should have been given this huge job out of the gate. I don’t know why anyone trusted them
@@fishels3895 Yeah I agree to a point.
Good info for people. Thanks for sharing.
They should have went with Intamin. It’s asking reeboks to make Nike. Can’t be done.
Still not convinced they made the wrong decision but it’s looking worse by the day
I know this is an unpopular opinion, but all they needed to do was fix the brakes. They should've kept the original. Maybe I'll feel different if I ever actually ride TT2.
The brakes had nothing to do with the issues for the original dragster
I don’t understand why Tony Clark dislikes your channel. You don’t get invited to content creator events etc.
We don’t tell stories the way he likes
You can bet that Intamin would NOT be having issues with the trains. Meaning, beyond some stupid little faults that might put it down for an hour or 2 a week, people would be riding tt2 now if it was Intamin that did it.
Probably not the trains.
@@BeachcliffStudios so the ride would be up now then. Minus a couple stupid fault codes, it would be running every day that it's been down so far because of the trains. I just can't understand CPs thinking here. They literally went...
"Lets fix our problematic prototype roller coaster by hiring a company who's tallest coaster is around 150', and fastest is 56 mph... oh yeah, and let's let them use their own prototype train, that they are going to have to make modifications to so it will be even more of a prototype train!"
And then leadership went...
"Genius!!! Let's do it!"
@@Spike-sk7qlhow about everything else for 18 years?😂
@@JJJJ-he8bz the point was that Intamin rides have gotten more reliable. The new ones have little issues, that result in hours of downtime. Where is the Intamin ride thar has had to shut down for 2 months and counting, with structural issues with the trains?

What are you guys talking about Intamin has been on fire the past 8 years. Have you heard of Velocicoaster? Zamperla is a big joke
Universal really makes sure their rides are open, that’s different. Plenty of their new coasters have had issues
First off, take this as constructive and with the intention of optimal outcome for you:
I came to say i bought a prestige pass with all add ons for my significant other and i through CP, we were invited to media day, went to prestige passholder preview, opening weekend, and 22 times since, and I think you've got a lot to do to get back on the park's good side.
@@TrueLies23 You must be a very bored person. I suggest a job at some point.
LMAO… how was TT2?? Oh yeah… it’s still closed. Done for the season. Intamin will fix it for 25. Start spreading the word!!!
And the kid is SOOOO right about MF. The airtime is garbage on that snorefest.
Looks like intamin can’t build a good coaster then??? Good thing zamperla took over for tt2
I don't really have a favorite TV show.
