Keith buddy, your make me laugh with your logic. You merrily dismiss and fling on your shelf the WALL-E box, as "as no worth to me, and someone will pay £20-25" for it.......... And the cut to a scene about a spiked lego ball being worth £2.70, and handle it like 24K gold - lol

Haha - funny how people interpret things. I've watched back and think the WALL-e box sounds worse because of it being hollow and how echoey the room is. And as for the gold ball I think it's just because it's rubber. Next time I may need to include a disclaimer, "no boxes were harmed in the making of this video".

Damn, missed that yellow slope piece (more on that later) and add those parts to my wanted list….😀.
Nice haul on the blue plates (and no “brittle blue” syndrome?); quick question, do you ever wash any of the used Lego? From the sorting of the stock from the other store, it always seems to be reasonably clean anyway but just wondering (being nosey!)
Right, last week involved sorting out how to get to London in the midst of a train strike in order to attend a Royal Tea Party at the Palace…… So hence no comments on the last Vlog (I will try to do better in future 😀).
That was a surreal experience for both me and my fiancé ; my workplace nominated several staff with long service records and following the security checks I got the invite.
It was a nice day, the food was excellent, and despite our best efforts we got within one foot of their Royal Highnesses…..
And then had to deal with the sparse traffic trying to get off the A10 to get onto the M25.
    Anyway, KDDK time!
Funnily enough, following on from our discussions about bands who maybe should have gone on to greater things, I remembered Robin George and went in search of his debut album. And then it was announced that he had passed away.
So I did a bit of research and found that my ignorance was vast, he had had a decent career and might have been part of a reformed Thin Lizzy but Mr Lynott died before that come to fruition.
And then it’s announced that Richard Tandy has also died. So listened to ELO II, Face the Music, and New World Record.
A band you might not have come across, Emerald Rain from Canada? Debut good, follow up was solid, preferred the 3rd though (might have to searching for more of their back catalogue when I get the time….)

Sorry you missed the yellow slope. If I come across another I'll let you know. I only wash the used lego if it's particularly dirty. The trick is largely to watch what you buy and if its too grubby give it a wide birth, I do however, have a couple of trusty brushes and wipes to hand in case I come across anything particularly dusty. I have never had anyone come back complaining about the cleanliness and to be honest with the value of used lego it's not practical as a one man band to continually wash and dry (the drying is the time consuming bit).
It must have been a great experience going to the Royal Tea Party (I think that warrants an absence from commenting on my videos). My wife loves the Royals and will be very jealous.
Now for KDDK... I was very sorry to hear about Robin George. I hadn't thought of him in terms of those who should have been bigger but it fits the brief very well. I am familiar with Emerald Rain and have a couple of albums. I think there are a lot of bands in the Melodic Rock genre that should have wider recognition. Probably the biggest of those for me are Harem Scarem. I know they are successful with the genre but so many more people should have known about them and Pete Lesperance has to be one of the most underrated guitarists ever.
Me and Mrs Brick Arena went to see FM on Friday which was pretty good. It was a last minute thing but we really enjoyed it. As for listening, it's been a bit of a mixture. Been listening to a little of Cats In Space who are new to me. Listened to some very old and much neglected Thin Lizzy. Can't say I like as much as the Lizzy I grew up on but it's interesting to revisit how Phil sounded on these recordings. Also went to my first record fair in a long long time and it was something of an eye opener in terms of prices - Not sure how anyone affords much vinyl these days. I've also been cataloging my vinyl of Discogs (only up to A so far ) and was stunned to find the first Alice in Chains album to be worth on average £250. I dread to think what value I've had tucked up in my loft for years.
