- I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Sitting outside in 90+ degree heat and high humidity, it was “cool” to see the ice and snow. Love the rake work. Nice video!

Post, may I ask a question? I saw the disclaimer at the beginning. How on earth is that screen supposed to stop beavers from building inside that culvert? Any beaver who could not get into that culvert with a load of beaver material would be thrown out of Beavers' Amalgamated Construction Union, Local 785, the New England Branch.

Path of least resistance; the grate provides a nice convenient starting point, so they use it instead of going in.
It’s a bitch to carry material through that grate. They will move on to somewhere easier and less damaging or just stack up the grate

it’s because they build with the flow and since the grate stops them from entering on the opening side they can’t build inside because that would cause bigger issued

Well then it's no wonder I'm so interested in Post's vids; I'm American but of almost 80% Dutch descent! I used to love playing in the little creeks made by the culvert by my grandma's house when I was a lil girl too, as well as pulling out sticks and stuff to just watch water flow faster. Strangely fascinated by it lol

I would have been happy to pay in that water last week. We had temperatures reaching 40°c in the UK.

I saw the snow and ice and it puzzled me for a moment, like “I thought Florida weather was strange, it’s mid-August and snow,” and then my logic caught up and I realized this was a video you probably had in your pocket for when the filming slowed.
I've read that the volume of water is moot when calculating delta p. The only variables I could find was the height of water column & area of opening. I understand that a giant lake 6 feet deep and a little puddle 6 feet deep exert the same delta p if all else is the same, like pipe diameter.

To you people who think this video was taken the day it was posted. It was not. We still have summer. It's gets 90 degrees up north sometimes too. Plus the trees bloom. I'm guessing post10 had this in the vault from the fall or end of winter. Great job as always post 10!

Just wanted to let you know I caught my 8yr old playing post10 the other day. Apparently all you've got to do to play is be a cool guy and check drain pipes and culverts for blockages or damage.
I wanna see a video from the Beaver's point of view. Beaver wakes at dusk gets video cam, starts recording & narrating "Looks like our natural enemy Post 10 has been here during the day. It's amazing the damage he & his side kick "the rake" can do in just one day. (Little does the beaver know it's about 3 minutes) You can see here where he dismantled our dam & lowered the water level by 3 feet. No we've got to start all over from the beginning. One day we will catch the elusive Post 10 & victory will be ours." .... I know he said the beaver cut trees were pushed there during a flood. It's a joke.

Question, In your opinion do you think that after you pull apart a beaver clog, do beavers use the sticks you throw away or do you think that they just keep chewing down new trees to repair their dam again? Great videos, i enjoy them.

In the old days in order to remain cool people used to take a long a towel and apply the wet towel on their head, neck, shoulders to help install cool heat and prevent over heating on the body if you have to work in heated conditions. Just saying.
