- In this guide you will learn how to create hdr skybox textures.
NOTE: The video recording is a bit old, it uses blender 2.7.7, which is outdated AF.
So now we use 2.8 because the thing required to render just does not work as intended in 3.0.
The prefab contains the new layout for blender 2.8, where instead of a render cube you click on a sphere and render out its glossiness as a texture and work with that instead.

Hey Mr Funreal I installed mods l4d2 alot and wont work
i get invalid pfm+txt error, despite trying both 24 bit and 32 bit tgas when i converted it to pfms. both don't have compression enabled. what am i supposed to do?
The TGA veersion has nothing to do wit hthis error. By that point, the tga is useless, because only the PFM is used.
I don't remember why this error happens, but a few people have gotten it.
I think its usually because people don't set up the bat file properly, or use the wrong names for the files.
If you need more help, i'd suggest joining the Dead 4 Mods discord server, where you can ask.
(Worst case scenario, you could upload the files to discord and i'll look at it when i got time) Cause youtube doesn't let me know when you send a reply to another reply

Hello, the Vtex batch proccess outputs the error ERROR: "C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Team Fortress 2/tf/custom/my_custom_stuff/materialsrc/customsky" does not specify valid PSD or TGA or PFM+TXT files!". I've changed the game from "Left 4 Dead" to "tf" appropriately.

No matter what i do with the batch file it keeps saying

Despite being correctly set up, any help?
IT could be that you used the wrong tga type. Someone in this comment section had used the wrong tga color depth (or something like that) which caused the thing to just not work.

@@MrFunreal i normally save them on 32bit, but on the video you saved them as 24bit, i'll check if thats the issue
So at the start you say "you will need a tool called HDR Shop, which is hard to find" and then you didn't provide a link to it in the description. What's up with that?

HDR Shop is inside the prefab. Go look at the google drive link. Hdrshop.exe is inside.
