In this video, we will reveal our 8 income sources that got us out of the rat race & into our early retired life & a life of financial freedom. No, we did not get lucky or it happened by chance. It was through God’s grace and years of trial and error, planning & action taking that allowed us to supercharge our financial journey.
If you are new to this channel, we are Fran and John, the Corporate Breakout Couple. Fran is Malaysian and John is Singaporean. We broke out of the corporate rat race in Singapore and retired early in year 2020 at the age of 40 years old. We love doing cost of living videos from countries all around the world and early retirement videos, to inspire and motivate people to get out of their comfort zones and go for their dreams!

Over the last 20 years, I have spent most of that time living abroad. Americans who have NEVER left the United States have no idea what the rest of the world is like. The USA doesn't even rank in the top 10 places to live, The USA doesn't rank in the top 10 safest countries. The USA doesn't rank in the top 10 healthiest countries. MOST citizens around the globe would choose to live anywhere BUT the USA. This world has a lot of nice places to live in. Life goes quickly. Enjoy while you can.

Appreciate the 8 sources vlog. I would also suggest adding getting out of debt. How can one concentrate on growing their wealth when one is burdened with debt?
There is a difference between good debt and bad debt.
Definitely get out of bad debt ASAP.
We've been doing videos on financial literacy, which covers aspects of debt. We plan on doing more of such videos in the future
Doesnt sound like a retirement lifestyle though. Too hectic and too much numbers to think about day and night. I'm looking to retire in JB with passive income of $3k (RM10k) to enjoy life without any work : ). But great to hear about your success story!! its inspiring
We travel whenever we want, do whatever we want and our investments keep our minds active, so that we do not decay and rot. Creating TH-cam videos keeps us innovative, creative and plugged in to current times, which is so important for our mental well being & staying sharp and focused. Bonus is we get to give back to society by passing on our knowledge and experience.
Imagine spending 50 years literally doing nothing, watching TV all day, rotting our brains, decaying our bodies and being stuck in the past, reliving our glory days. Not creating anything new in our lives & not being useful to society. We cannot imagine a more miserable life

Ok. All i can say is that, to me, trading is not a retirement thing. To me retirement is a stress-less period of life. Prefer simple guaranteed income streams like withdrawable cpf interest post 55 and rentals...

Cpf payout is from 65 and above. To me after 65 is the danger zone where many health issues will start to happen. The monthly payout from cpf may be inadequate. Retiring at 45 may be ideal as you still have a good chance of having 20 years of healthy living and enjoyment. Financial literacy and planning will allow that to happen. Say you have 1 mil of liquid funds at 45, even with 3% interest, you can get close to 3k of free money a month. And if you are not stupid and with some street awareness, you can stay in Malaysia or Thailand comfortably.
@@limtc1733 love this!! This is exactly why we worked so hard for a few years, to buy back our time freedom. And with time freedom, we use that time to spend with family, friends and also continue to learn & grow, creating new streams of income
@@limtc1733 not talking about CPF Life. Any amount not in RA from age 55 onwards is withdrawable including yearly interest generated.

Sounds complicated to me. Best way to invest is to have 10 million dollars and no debt. Put it into guaranteed safe instruments. Even with just 3% interest, it would amount to 25k per month. 10k to spend and the remainder 15k to reinvest. The problem would be how to get 10 mil. 😅
