I was born in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. But I immigrated to USA at a young age. Now that I have 10+ years until retirement, Kuching may just be the perfect City in Malaysia to Retire. I Love the people and culture in Malaysia. The weather is always Nice and hospitality of the locals are out of this world. Oh, also the Food in Malaysia has something for everyone. Love it!

Great food in Sarawak. We slow travel (1 month at a time)and were in Kuching last September. This was our 2nd tme there. After 2 weeks of 4, the wife said, "Let's go." 😂 She was getting bored. It's big in area, but the city itself isn't that big. We took Grab to a lot of malls, but some looked like it was closing down.
We just got home today from another month in Malaysia (Penang, Taiping, Ipoh, KL). We go quite often to escape the cold in the US and jump into the oven that is Malaysia. 🥵

With love and care from us Dayaks here in Borneo.
Dude, you are not aware of the formation of Malaysia or MA63.
The Federation of Malaysia is made up of four countries namely:-
    1. Malaya
    2. Singapore
    3. Sarawak
    4. North Borneo or Sabah
After two years, Singapore left the Federation of Malaysia leaving behind three countries. Sabah and Sarawak are not states but countries unlike the small small states in Malaya.
Yes, the capital is Kuala Lumpur and North Borneo is Jesselton which was later renamed as Kota Kinabalu and Sarawak is of course Kuching.
Please don't be misled and the Federation of Malaysia was formed on 16 September 1963
    Puji Tuhan.
    Praise God.

      1 - Kuching Metro Electric Bus (Line 103) :
You can hop on/off from Sarawak Legislative Assembly to Airport, Kuching Sentral and even to Semenggoh Wildlife Center.
      All for free.
2 - Bus Asia (private company with red buses) :
On Maps, search for "Red Bus to Bako".
Trip fees may depend on the route (and your nationality).
      3 - Old public buses :
On Maps, search for "City Publik Link Bus Service". From there, you'll be able to go to several touristic places (for exemple : fairy caves of Bau or Bako National Park).
      Any trip is RM1
4-Sarawak Metro hydrogen bus. Kuching Heritage Loop (everyday) and Damai Loop which go to Damai Beach and Sarawak Cultural Village (Saturday and Sunday). All trip is free.
