    great review and love the presentation. i got the 3l last week and i'm considering getting the 6l just for a little bit more space for a flash. hope it doesn't get too heavy, my think tank retero 20 just checked is 2x the weight of the 6l

    Using this bag sinds the beginning, there is another small place where you can store extra like a remote, small sd cards holder, mini flash (om-1) where you put strap.
    I can hold a lot of this in this bag for micro 4/3 (6 lenses + om-1) and a lot of extra things (filters or steps filters where other put an ipad) my best bag evere, second one the 5L sling I have also😀

    Informative video. My question is, will the A7 iv with a battery grip and Tamron 28-70 (both on the camera body) fit inside the sling? Thanks for doing the research!

    • @david_does
      @david_does  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you 🙂 I believe the battery grip would be too much. When the camera is in the bag without a battery grip, it's pretty tight along the top and bottom of the camera. The extra length on the bottom would likely be too much.

    Looking for the smallest sling bag that can carry my a7iii with the 35GM attached and the 70-200GM2 not attached. I'd like to keep the lens hood on the 70-200 but as it's huge I could leave it off if it's a deal breaker.

      Thank you so much 🙂! I think it would be quite a tight fit with all three. I suspect you could get your drone and the controller in however with the A7C setup it may be a bit much with the drone. The A7C + 28-78 lens should also fit just fine on it's own.

    thank you for the details long time usage video - I also use this (and also 10 and 3 liter, depending on the circumstances ), but in one point I am a bit dissatisfied: the grey lining gets dirty very fast, especially during every day usage.. I am still not clear how I could clean it effectively, using the washing machine seems not to be an option according to pd... do you have any experience or idea for that?

      You know that is a great point. I have not done too much research into cleaning that. I may have to send PD an email to see what they say. I guess you could wash it with a damp washcloth but it probably won't do too much.

      You actually may be able to use the bottom straps to attach an umbrella underneath. Sort of how they mount blankets to the bottom on the website. It would have to be a collapsible umbrella rather than a golf though.

    • @david_does
      @david_does  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! So I think the R5 plus the 24-105 will be a good fit. However I think 10-400 may be to tight of a squeeze. You can probably get the flash in the bag if you detach it from the camera. I suspect you may want to take a look at the slightly larger (10L) version.

    Hi David. Wondering if a MacBook Air M1 would fit the 6l? Everything I’ve read says it won’t. But I’d be willing to put up with a bit of stuffing it in, if the zips could close up. The 10l is an option but it’s quite a bit bigger

    • @david_does
      @david_does  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I took a look and the 6L is about two inches two small at the bottom. Essentially, the base of the bag "funnels" down to a point. Because the other dimensions of the Air M1, it would have to be about two to three inches wider at the base. I bet the 10L option would be a better fit as the 6L is not that far off. But like you said, that is quite a bigger bag.

    • @david_does
      @david_does  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! For the 6L version (like I have) I think that will be too tight. If you mean having that lens attached to the body, with the lens pointing down. I wish that would fit as it would make taking it out and putting it away quickly easier.

      Hey Tony! Great question. So assuming you orient it similarly to mine (Video @3:25). It should fit.
      My only concern - The Canon 5D MK IV is a bit wider in that orientation. So if you have something like a stiff iPad in the tablet spot it may make it very tight or hard to get in and out.

    I’ve had the 6L and 10l peak design sling but I did find it a bit boxy and didn’t conform to the body due to its rigid design which I suppose is a good thing as it’ll protect your gear better but, having took it on holiday with my Nikon Z6ii and 24-70 f4 (so a small lens) and maybe a water bottle etc, it was really straining on my shoulder / neck .. the strap is just not sufficient imo! I’ve sold both and gone for the Bellroy 10l camera sling and it’s fantastic, well padded and it conforms round your body so it doesn’t move about as you walk .. it doesn’t hold as much as the PD bag as it’s not as deep but it’s very comfy! I now use it solely for my Nikon Z6ii and 24-70 2.8 lens and a couple of filters
