I purchased the 10 l version. This bag is very well designed. I bought it for an upcoming trip abroad, and as it’s so lightweight, it will really help me keep under the max Carry-on weight. The dedicated tablet sleeve easily holds my iPad Pro 11”, or my 14 in laptop.
Half pocket at ends on 6 & 10 Litre is perfect to hide and house an air tag or Smart Tag, I plan to do so on mine once it arrives. Thanks for a thorough review
I have both V2 and V1 10L Sling, at first I thought the new design opening will be amazing because with just one zipper in V1 is pain in the butt to open. But in V2, the opening is very small when you unzip it, whereas in V1, yes you can sort of flap the top portion over and makes it much easier to take your camera out. My main set-up is Sony a7riii + 16-35GM, with the narrow opening of the V2 Sling, my eye piece or the camera in general will have to rub against the zipper each time I take it out. PD also removed the two internal side pockets from the V2 Sling where sometimes I will use it to store a microfiber cloth or batteries.
Hey JinTherapist - thanks for sharing your experience with the community. It's so interesting to hear your comparison between the V1 and V2 10L Everyday Sling and the differences in the accessibility of the main compartment. 😊🙌 - Rebecca
JinTherapist I agree. I actually just purchased the V1 because of the top flap. I went to the PD store here in SF to see if there were other options, but ended up going back to the camera store to buy the V1.
Bought the 10L v2 for the same reason, because of the single zipper on the v1 that actually opens the opposite way to what I'd prefer... And the v2 sucks so bad. It's heading back as we speak. The pockets on the v2 are completely useless, especially the top flap which gets heavy use in my v1. Huge downgrade compared to v1.
I’m about to order a 3L for my extra lenses when I’m backpacking. I already keep my A6300 on my shoulder strap so I’m thinkin the 3L should be plenty big for any extra lenses I want to bring. Great review! Before I ordered it, I wanted to see what the internal storage looked like in more detail.

The 13.9-inch screen Lenovo Yoga 910 and the 14-inch screen X1 Carbon 6th gen both fit into the laptop sleeve of the V2 10L. Very tight squeeze, but they do fit!
My 5L sling is used on a regular basis but has never seen a camera ;) I will buy 3L in the future, as the 5L is too big for my usage - phone, battery bank and so on. Good decision from Peak D.
Hi, I own the 5L version. It’s curious, it seems that the 3L v2 has the same dimensions as the 5L... can you make a comparison review ? Other question : does the 6L v2 fits well in the peak Design Travel backpack 45L ?
I have personally owned Sling 10L V1 for almost 2 years which is a very good bag. Now I consider buying 3L bag , but I have 1 question: can I fit in Canon RP+Tamron 24-70G2 into it? I would be grateful for your answer.
Hey Alysia - the material has been finished with a weather-resistant coating and the zippers have some weather resistance too, so while we don’t suggest taking the Everyday Sling scuba-diving, it should keep your stuff protected in inclement weather. You can also check out some more info on the materials and zippers in our full review here packhacker.com/travel-gear/peak-design/everyday-sling-3l-v2/ Hope this helps! 😊 - Rebecca
The new series are looking nice. However, they inherited the bad front pocket design from the 5L. Because of the stiffness of the construction, whenever you access the front pocket of the 5L, the back of your hand would rub against the zipper's hard teeth. It's annoying and gets really uncomfortable especially in colder weather. 10L with a more flexible front pocket is a lot better from a usability point of view. It's a pity PD didn't use the front pocket design of the 10L on the new 3L and 6L.
Quick question Eric, are the straps the same on all three? When testing the 6l, it seemed to have a strap that is almost too small. If this is the same strap on the 10l, then it will definitely be too small. I couldn't see the strap size in this video. Thanks!
Hey Owen - the zippers can be locked together using the zipper pulls or by using the lash straps at the bottom of the zippers. Check out our full review for a close-up image of the zippers. packhacker.com/travel-gear/peak-design/everyday-sling-3l-v2/ - hope this helps! 👍 - Rebecca
I had the old 10L and the one thing that really bother me was the thickness of the padding on the strap. I cannot tell, does all three bags use the same strap and has it been upgraded with more padding?
Thanks for the thorough review! One thing that caught my attention: Is there a risk that the zipper of the inside pocket on the 3L version might produce scratches on your camera?
Edit: Forgot to mention that PH was an important factor when choosing the sling. Thanks for your coverage of the old versions and the new I got the 3l and it is amazing. What I carry: X100T, Godox TT350F Flash, X100 TCL, 3 batteries, a thick detachable camera strap, lens pen, USB cable, extra AA batteries for the flash and a 10.0000mAh battery bank for my phone. what else could I possibly need for a family outing?
How does the iPad Pro 11" (with the Apple keyboard folio) fit into the tablet sleeve of the 6L? Does it fit perfectly or does it also have the issue you showed with the iPad where it sticks up into the magnet?
Hey Lucky Dippers - we currently do not have the iPad Pro 11" or the Apple Keyboard Folio but from comparing the measurements, it looks like it will still hit the magnet when in the sleeve. The dimensions of the iPad Pro 11" are the maximum dimensions to fit this sleeve, so fitting in the keyboard may be a bit of a tight squeeze. Hope this helps! 😊 - Rebecca
@@tuyenhoang5546 Actually, it does. The Moment guys confirmed it here: th-cam.com/video/d27RwS-AL_U/w-d-xo.html . However, they don't show how well it fits, which is why I wanted to ask here as well.
Lucky Dippers I have iPad Pro 11”, and felt it was too tight in the 6 L. I got the 10L instead. I cannot carry the bag with both my iPad as HP 13” at the same time. Seems too tight to me
Hey Charlie - we cannot verify 100% as we do not have this camera, but it seems to be a similar size to the camera that we tested in this sling so it should fit in with a small prime lens. Hope this helps! 😊 - Rebecca
The strap design has one difference between 3,6 and 10l, and that’s why peak design says you can’t wear it on your waist: the 3 and 6l have a clip that opens so you can tuck in the padded portion of the strap and have a smaller strap to wear around your waist
Hey Alfian - the Peak Design Everyday Sling 3L (V2) isn't big enough to hold the iPad Pro 11", but the Everyday Sling 6L (V2) can packhacker.com/travel-gear/peak-design/everyday-sling-6l-v2/ 👍 - Rebecca
I just got the 10L, and one thing really bugs me: it seems like there is so much wasted space under that top flap in the front pocket. What was the point of making the opening so far down on the front pocket? It makes no sense to me.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us, Sean. Let us know how you get on utilizing the space as you continue to use this sling. We'd love to hear how it works for you. 😊 - Rebecca
Pack Hacker Quick Hits I doubt I will ever make good use of that space, anything that goes in there simply falls to the bottom anyway. I’ve decided to keep the bag because it still gets a lot right, but I think that is definitely a flaw which I hope they address in the next generation.
I just think that the bag doesn't need so much padding, makes it way too bulky, though I do like those side pockets, excellent compartmentalization. Yeah the top space is a waste.
Hey Janguyencz - are you referring to the Heimplanet Transit Line Travel Pack or the Peak Design Travel Backpack? Let us know and we can check it out! 😊 - Rebecca
Yes, can confirm it does! It’s not exactly one packing unit; it’s a little wider and a little taller, but it should still fit in with a bit of squeezing, even fully loaded.
Hi i bought the 6l sling but i see that the material is too rough and it damage my clothes ! Do you have the same problem ? Test it on a delicate cloth .
Hey alireza seyf - we haven't experienced any issues with the material damaging our clothing, but if anything changes, we'll keep you updated. 👍 - Rebecca
@@PackHacker2i have the old 10L and can confirm that the material rubs clothing badly. In particular, the grey material is now stained pink due to rubbing on a red goretex raincoat over a 4 week trip through europe. In addition, the seatbelt material used for the straps slips gradually through the adjuster loop, meaning that the bag typically hangs as low as it can go, even if you adjust it to hang higher. Not sure if the V2 bag has the same faulty locking clip on the strap. Otherwise great bag.
Awesome video, finally found yours. Watched other review videos on this bag and it's amazing how bad some review videos are out there, love your quality. Great setup/work/video!
Is the v2 10L larger than the v1 10L? I find that in the v1 10L the fit for a camera + 13’’ laptop is very tight. Wondering if this is still the case with the v2?

Just purchased the 6L and am not super crazy about the size. Lenses that are 1.8 and maybe a 24-70 2.8 will fit decent. I have a 24GM and a Sigma 85mm 1.4 DG DN(not the HSM) and it fills the bag with their lens shades on(important to have). If I had the 35 1.8 and the 85 1.8 Im sure itd be no problem.
Good review man, I'm still deciding between the 10L and the Messenger V2, the Messenger seems too large for me but I'm kinda on the fence about the 10L as well because it might not fit all my stuff. Do you think the 10L can fit a d7200 with sigma 18-35mm f1.8 attached and will also be carrying a Tamron 35-150mm f2.8-4 lens, a godox flash and flash controller? And also some other stuff, like a small medicine box, a phablet as well. Do you think this will all fit in the 10L?

Openings on the pockets are different. I have the 5L and just purchased the 6L. I had more storage in the front pocket of the 5L over the 6L because of the pocket opening, it’s harder to get things it to that pocket on the 6L. They also rounded off the 6L more on the main opening which also makes it difficult to access. I find myself still grabbing my 5L because it just easier to access all my stuff.
Julien B yes I do. It’s because of how they made the openings of the 6L makes it harder to get that same gear that I normally Carry in my 5L. Especially in the front pocket and the inside pocket.
Hey RuckInSteady Gaming - we don't have this camera to verify 100% but it seems like it's going to be too tight of a squeeze to fit into the Everyday Sling 3L (V2). Was there a specific sling you were referring to? 😊 - Rebecca
Hey Agga, the padded tablet sleeve is for tablets up to 11” in the Peak Design Everyday Sling 6L (V2). packhacker.com/travel-gear/peak-design/everyday-sling-6l-v2/ - Rebecca
@@PackHacker2 hey thanks for replying! I just got the 6l sling and it works great. The only thing it that it looks and feels too big for me sometimes. Any idea if it would be possible to fit a 0,5 liter bottle with the 3l sling ? Maybe laying it down lengthwise or attached to the tripod holder on the bottom ?
Hey Yener - it really depends on which bottle you have. A 16 oz bottle should fit in the sling but it takes up the whole compartment. On the other hand, you might be able to attach one to the bottom of the sling if it's a taller water bottle, but if it's smooth like the YETI bottles it will just slide out. packhacker.com/travel-gear/yeti/ - Rebecca
Great comparison video! Quick question, how does the 3L compare in size to the 5L V1? External dimensions seem to me the same, but internal dimensions seem to differ by quite a lot. My micro 4/3 set up is small, so I'm looking for something that I can either throw in my laptop backpack or use it on its own when I want to be lightweight. I'm leaning towards the 3L, but since the 5L is on sale at the same price, I'm trying to weigh pros and cons. Thanks!
Hey Ramon - when looking at the 3L and 5L slings together, it's clear to see that the 5L version is larger. However, when we first saw the 3L Everyday Sling V2, we did feel like it looked more like a 5L sling, as it's pretty big. To sum it up, the 5L version does have more space inside, but the 3L sling does feel bigger than 3L. Hope this helps! 😊 - Rebecca
@@PackHacker2 Thanks Rebecca! I truly appreciate the thorough answer. More space in the same form factor is a plus por for the 5L V1, but it seems that the V2 has a better strap, better and easier way to adjust it, as well as the new zippers. I'm almost certain my iPad Pro 10.5 with the Smart Keyboard won't fit in the 5L and definitely not in the 3L, but if I can fit my essential camera kit, and part of my mobile phone set up, then it's a win. Think I'll go with the 5L, and if it is way too much for what I need, I'll exchange it for the 3L. Once again, thanks!!
You got it, Tanja! Check out our full review of the 3L Everyday Sling (V2) for more info packhacker.com/travel-gear/peak-design/everyday-sling-3l-v2/ 😊 - Rebecca
I picked up the 3L and I love it. I have an a7III and i manage to get an 85mm and 35mm with the camera all in the bag. It’s super tight and you wont be able to carry anything else but it works fine. It helps keep me minimal when i go out. I tend to always bring too much.
Contact with a zipper when taking my camera out or put it into the bag cannot always be avoided. I hate such camera bags as someday there will be scratches on the body or lens.
I've been using the 5L for a year and don't keep caps on my lenses in this bag. Very busy wedding and event photographer so a lot of lens changes. Zero element scratches from the zipper. Also, just use your camera, man, it's there to be used, it's not a museum piece! :)
3L is the most practical bag. 6L is too small for full gear, 10L is too big to be a sling bag, swing around on the side hitting things when loaded, and doesn’t hold that much more than 6L other than taller. I have over a twenty different size camera bags/backpacks, this 3L is the one I use the most.
I am Sure Microsoft Surface laptop 13" or Surface pro X are also going to fit in there not only Mac book. Quite tired of listening to reviewers using Apple products in their reviews. =)
Slings are meant to be worn diagonally across your body. To me this is a messenger bag and not a sling. a sling has straps that are diagonal so one touch point at the top left and one strap touch point at the bottom right so the bag can sit tight against your body. the way this bag fits, half the bag at the top is touching your body and half the bag at the bottom is off your body so it doesn't ever feel comfortable

Pack Hacker Quick Hits Similarly i am wondering if the 3L will fit a Canon 5D Mkiii with a small lens attached.
The strap design has one difference between 3,6 and 10l, and that’s why peak design says you can’t wear it on your waist: the 3 and 6l have a clip that opens so you can tuck in the padded portion of the strap and have a smaller strap to wear around your waist
Thanks for sharing your experience with the community, Martino! 😊👍
- Rebecca
Can the 3L fit the iPad Pro 11 inch? Or should I get the 6L?
Hey Alfian - the Peak Design Everyday Sling 3L (V2) isn't big enough to hold the iPad Pro 11", but the Everyday Sling 6L
(V2) can packhacker.com/travel-gear/peak-design/everyday-sling-6l-v2/ 👍
- Rebecca
I just got the 10L, and one thing really bugs me: it seems like there is so much wasted space under that top flap in the front pocket. What was the point of making the opening so far down on the front pocket? It makes no sense to me.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us, Sean. Let us know how you get on utilizing the space as you continue to use this sling. We'd love to hear how it works for you. 😊
- Rebecca
Pack Hacker Quick Hits I doubt I will ever make good use of that space, anything that goes in there simply falls to the bottom anyway. I’ve decided to keep the bag because it still gets a lot right, but I think that is definitely a flaw which I hope they address in the next generation.
I just think that the bag doesn't need so much padding, makes it way too bulky, though I do like those side pockets, excellent compartmentalization. Yeah the top space is a waste.
Jyon's Channel I returned it. For my camera gear I haven’t found anything on the level of my Billingham Hadley.
Sean which Billingham do you like relative to the 10L?
Does 6-liter sling fits as one packing unit in Travel Line backpack?
Hey Janguyencz - are you referring to the Heimplanet Transit Line Travel Pack or the Peak Design Travel Backpack? Let us know and we can check it out! 😊
- Rebecca
Yes, can confirm it does! It’s not exactly one packing unit; it’s a little wider and a little taller, but it should still fit in with a bit of squeezing, even fully loaded.
I bet he means the Peak Design, as the 5L usually gets advertised as fitting as "one packing cube". I was actually wondering the same thing
@@PackHacker2 I mean PD Travel Backpack :)
- Rebecca
Can’t use this bag for every day carry?
Is the v2 10L larger than the v1 10L? I find that in the v1 10L the fit for a camera + 13’’ laptop is very tight. Wondering if this is still the case with the v2?
Hey hioe04 - the dimensions for the Everyday Sling 10L (V2) are slightly larger, we've gathered all of the dimensions below from the Peak Design site to help you compare. Hope this helps! 😊
Everyday Sling 10L (V1):OUTER DIMENSIONS40cm x 24.5cm x 14cm (15" x 9.65" x 5.51")INNER DIMENSIONS30.5cm x 21cm x 6.5cm (12in" x 8.2" x 2.5")

Thanks for sharing! 😃

Do you think this will all fit in the 10L?
yep it will fit
Why didn't you put a camera and gear inside?
Hey Carsten, we recommend checking out the full written reviews to get an insight into what gear we packed inside these slings. We'll drop the links below!

I find myself still grabbing my 5L because it just easier to access all my stuff.
nikki greaves so you prefer the 5L over the 6l ? And what about the size of the bag? The 6L seems lot bigger than the 5L version that i own
Julien B yes I do. It’s because of how they made the openings of the 6L makes it harder to get that same gear that I normally Carry in my 5L. Especially in the front pocket and the inside pocket.
And for the size? The 6L seems much bigger than the 5L on the pictures
great review! thanks
Have you ever experienced randomly slippage the strap off the buckle? My OG 5L (predecessor 6L v2) always have that problem
:(
my should allready hurts just from looking at the 10l with such a little shoulderstrap!
I'm looking to get one for my puffco peak pro lol
can you put 5d with lens attached here?
Hey RuckInSteady Gaming - we don't have this camera to verify 100% but it seems like it's going to be too tight of a squeeze to fit into the Everyday Sling 3L (V2). Was there a specific sling you were referring to? 😊
- Rebecca
Which one of these can I put my iPad 11 pro in
Hey Alex! The Peak Design Everyday Sling 6L (V2) holds an 11" iPad Pro and the Peak Design Everyday Sling 10L (V2) can hold a 13" Macbook Pro.

Does the 6l hold 12,9 inch ipad pro tho?
Edit: Nope, it holds up to 11 inch tablet
Hey Agga, the padded tablet sleeve is for tablets up to 11” in the Peak Design Everyday Sling 6L (V2).

@@PackHacker2 hey thanks for replying! I just got the 6l sling and it works great. The only thing it that it looks and feels too big for me sometimes. I was thinking to get the 3l but wondering whether it can hold a 500ml standard water bottle inside coz I'm gonna use it for daily carry. Thanks in advance!
Can reviewer show how gear fit in these bags, rather than just opening closing zipper! Cant make a decision whether its worth upgrading from my sling 10L V1.
Thanks for your feedback, Siong. I'll pass your thoughts onto the team. And if you're looking to find more info about the Everyday Sling 3L (V2) you can also check out our full review here packhacker.com/travel-gear/peak-design/everyday-sling-3l-v2/

Need to make a 7.5l version
Will the 6L fit a 11 inch iPad Pro?
Hey Manny! The Peak Design Everyday Sling 6L (V2) will hold an 11" iPad Pro. 👍

best bags ever
3L for me. Some “serious photographers” prefer a small kit.
When a review of the new tote v2? It has changed a lot since the previous version
Hey G iovanni - we currently haven't got our hands on the Peak Design Everyday Tote (V2), but if anything changes, we'll keep you updated over on our social channels. 😊👍

Thanks! It would be really interesting! 🤞 for capacity is similar to a backpack but in a sling version...
On the other hand, you might be able to attach one to the bottom of the sling if it's a taller water bottle, but if it's smooth like the YETI bottles it will just slide out. packhacker.com/travel-gear/yeti/

I wonder if a Nintendo Switch would fit in the 3L
Hey NeoKurow - if you take the dividers out, the Nintendo Switch will fit in the 3L Everyday Sling (V2). 👍
- Rebecca
besides that new one
- Rebecca
You got it, Ramon! Let us know what you think of this sling when it arrives. 👍

Thanks for the review. Im looking at getting the 3L.

I picked up the 3L and I love it. I have an a7III and i manage to get an 85mm and 35mm with the camera all in the bag. It’s super tight and you wont be able to carry anything else but it works fine. It helps keep me minimal when i go out. I tend to always bring too much.
How I yearn for "a dangle free experience"😂
chiming in with others about lack of showing how cameras and lens fit.
where's the on body shots?
If you check out the full review of each pack, you’ll find tons of photos 😃 Check the description!

V2 opening is too small, I find it more difficult to get access to my batteries or iPad. I would have liked to see the 6 L in the V1 style
Why don't bags have water bottle holder? You need to stay hydrated during the day!
Sometimes it’s for design purposes and sometimes to save weight, but having one is super helpful for hydration! 😃
-Eric
Can you fit an Ipad in the 3L?
It could fit an iPad mini, but it doesn't have a dedicated slot/sleeve for it. Also the regular iPad won't fit.
Hmm I guess that'll work. Thanks mate
I live for a dangle-free experience
quick design
so you did the whole video and never showed gear on the bags? wtf...
Cant put a iphone max pro in the smallest bags front pocket its so tight, bad design. Rest is all good for
Single
Camera setup.
I am Sure Microsoft Surface laptop 13" or Surface pro X are also going to fit in there not only Mac book. Quite tired of listening to reviewers using Apple products in their reviews. =)
Review with no real life gears? Sad.
If you don’t have a camera and few lenses to put in don’t make review
