To have a showcase mode about Wrestlemania *just doesn't make sense* without Mr McMahon. Regardless of what he did irl, his CHARACTER was a massive part in many storylines and you can't just cancel history. Plus it's always fun to beat up the boss ^^
I need 2K to add a MyEra mode for this game like they have for NBA 2K. I want to play in the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression Era without having to download every wrestler I can think of.
I got hold of a beta copy of WWF Smackdown on PSX wayyy back in the day... I have NO idea how, and I may have sold some copies of it (allegedly) at school... it had some features, like controlling your wrestler to celebrate after the match, that they stripped from the final version for some reason. The beta was great! In fact those very first Smackdown games were brilliant at the time.

@Oldschool1943 for real, 2K's games have been going backwards and slowly adding key features that THQ introduced since 2006 and just calling it new features
I'm debating whether to get 24 or wait for 2k25 why I'm debating is because I have 23 and i just felt 24 was copy wnd paste of 23 just a few new features differences
Really? Because that is what they doing now THQ made good games and 2k struggle a lot to find what works and they finally cracked it really late with 2k22 and they keep innovating it add new match types adding new features this is what THQ did and that is what 2k to doing now
@@AdventurousduelistBS complete 2K didn't innovate by adding new match types those match types existed in older WWE games made by 'THQ Yukes' Until WWE 2K19. 2K own debut game WWE 2k20 made by 2K themselves was the most buggiest and glitchfest game ever. I think it would be really cool if they would just take a chance and create a different pay per view showcase. Let me play through survivor series showcase or summerslam. it would just give them a reason to get certain legends in the game. I just don’t know why people like dlo brown isn’t a legend . I think these are the best they've been since the PS2 days and I highly recommend them. The amount of content on community creations alone will keep you busy for hours.
👍🏼
Love the videos. Skipped 2k23, but definitely gonna jump into 24. Y’all’s before you guys are always a good watch and very informative
I miss wcw on n64
Like every year, its a Gamefly rental for me. 2K22 and 23 weren't much different. Besides new match modes. It looks like this one is no different. And they update the current roster and sprinkle a few more legends in. These games will never be anything without the legends!
I use to buy WWE games every year but took a few years off when they got repetitive.
How would this game be for someone coming back?
I was in the same boat as you... It sounds like this years game is building off of last year, which I thought was fun and I played through a lot of it. I am excited for this one this year. A lot of the wrestling youtubers have said good things as well.
If you played the one from last year, it’s slightly better.
Same as me this year I went for it. Blown away very very good man
it depends what you last played. if you have 2k23 then 24 is a waste of money for you. its like buying a iphone 15 after saving up for the iphone 14 the year before.
@@johnmarkson1990 last one I played was 2K 17
This is the first wrestling game ive played since playing WCW/nWo revenge back in 1998. This is such a fun game to play.

To have a showcase mode about Wrestlemania *just doesn't make sense* without Mr McMahon. Regardless of what he did irl, his CHARACTER was a massive part in many storylines and you can't just cancel history.
Plus it's always fun to beat up the boss ^^
New dark side of the ring season started as well folks
Oh shit good looks I love that shit have you seen Nine Lives of Vince?
I miss Shut Your Mouth, Raw 2, and Here Comes The Pain.
Need a remastered Here comes the Pain for modern consoles
I need 2K to add a MyEra mode for this game like they have for NBA 2K. I want to play in the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression Era without having to download every wrestler I can think of.
Basically it's the same game.
They must make wwe games arcade not simulation like SMD vs RAW for the ps2
I just cant wait for the custom characters
I got hold of a beta copy of WWF Smackdown on PSX wayyy back in the day... I have NO idea how, and I may have sold some copies of it (allegedly) at school... it had some features, like controlling your wrestler to celebrate after the match, that they stripped from the final version for some reason. The beta was great! In fact those very first Smackdown games were brilliant at the time.
This is the best WWE game since old THQ days
I'm still playing smackdown vs raw 2006 on ps2. 2k24 looks good so far. I'm glad to see some classic wrestlers. Hopefully, they will continue with more classic wrestlers. Also, hopefully, they go all out on the customizing ability.
They haven’t made a good one since Here Comes The Pain and SmackDown vs RAW 2007. They need a refresh.
Tripping
Lol really dude ok boomer
@@nevermindgaming6848 past your bedtime son.
You clearly haven't even bothered playing any of them in over a decade...
@deandrenicholas2545 Imagine if you haven't played any in over a decade since the SVR days and then jumped into 2K20. It wouldn't have made a very good impression on the rest of them
Imagine 2K19 grappling mechanics with SD HCTP arcady feel!
thanks for giving us some straight up gameplay and some first impressions!
The biggest improvements they did was they fixed Cody Rhodes theme with alternate attiers and secondly this first cm punk game sense wwe 2k15 but as dlc
This game is pretty damn good, but if u don’t watch wwe tht much it won’t be for u. Yall r chasing nostalgia instead of accepting the current day
Well said
But it doesn’t have the old school wrestlers tho?
@@markanthony6026 It has legends for sure, just maybe not all the ones u wish it had or maybe not a specific variation u wanted.
Very true! I’m an avid viewer so appreciate the roster including NXT
2k24 is objectively a bad game. Nothing to do with muh nostalgia.
I totally agree with the “getting to know the wrestler” during the showcase. I think it really gets you involved with the mode.
the wrestlemania concept is a good idea as it allows more legends from previous years to be in the game and by changing things up from the normal story mode not concentrating on 1 wrestler this time round.
The Showcase mode was definitely made for the Hardcore wrestling fan
I miss the old raw vs smackdown games.
2006 to 2008 were my favorite
i remember when THQ inc first introduced SVR everybody thought it was the end of the franchise because of that intro.
Jessie Esinberg.... I've been watching videos and wondering who your voice reminded me of....I finally got it

Me playing Wrestling Empire: 🤷♂️
Wrestling Empire is barely skill based, it's lame.
@@TheSUPERWIND2023 I mean, it's an arcade game made by 1 person
@@TheSUPERWIND20232k24 isn't skillbased. It's a bunch of 12 year olds with gang caws at 100 overall submission spamming.
2k19 was skill based. Matches could go on forever.
@@TheSUPERWIND2023Also, how do you even play? Online Servers suck major ass.
With a few patches for wonky AI behaviors, this will be a great game beyond MyFaction
Crazy that 2k14 was the last game where we could import tag teams & stables into universe mode. 2k just can't figure it out.
Love that they added real referees this year
IM NOT BUYING ANYMORE UNTIL I CAN FREELY ROAM AROUND BACKSTAGE AREAS LIKE YOU KNIW WE COULD DO IN A 1999 WRESTLING GAME I CANT STAND WHEN FEATURES AND MODES ARE REMOVED
Im bummed to hear about showcase. I loved playing through Rey, Cena and Daniel Bryans stories in the last few games.
All I want is a hardcore, no DQ match with as much mayhem as possible.
For me the ladder matches with like 6 or more people were always the crazy chaotic kind of matches with everyone pulling out weapons, people flying through tables and overall just complete mayhem because with so many people noone ever gets to actually climb the ladder and the match will be like 30 min of people destroying each other minimum xD
That is a thing in this game. Saw a match where there was a bunch of weapons everywhere and blood on the mat and outside too.
Wwe2k14: All 29 wrestlemania arenas. Games Slogan: Celebration 30 Years of Wrestlemania.
Wwe2k24: Only 17 wrestlemania arenas, 2 of which are the same arenas (wm 5 & 6). Game Slogan: FINISH THE STORY!!!!! & 40 years of WM lulz 🎉
aka wwe '14 that was originally an THQ inc game that 2k slapped their name on the title after they rebrand it and took the credit
@Oldschool1943 for real, 2K's games have been going backwards and slowly adding key features that THQ introduced since 2006 and just calling it new features
I'm debating whether to get 24 or wait for 2k25 why I'm debating is because I have 23 and i just felt 24 was copy wnd paste of 23 just a few new features differences
same tbh i have 2k23 and i don’t see any difference in 2k24 so idk if i should just wait for 2k25
@@teranfaris5804 am I the only one who thinks 2k22 , 23 and 24 are pretty much same

Best Wrestling Game since No Mercy 64
Since 2k22 they hear us Fans
And 24 now is the Best it could ever be
WWE2K19 IS THE BEST!
These games used to be so innovative with THQ. Now it’s the same ol same same ol copy and paste. Not worth buying at full price
THQ,it's in the name
They copied and paste the ideas from older WWE games from Yuke's nothing more!
THQ was only a publisher. It's Yukes that developed the WWE games from Smackdown 1 til 2K19. They did made AEW Fight Forever... Which is barebones.
your mind is playing tricks on your old man, SVR was also a lot of copy n paste.

Am I missing a mode that's closer to the old career mode? I'm playing MyRise and I lost a match and thought "oh well", then it stopped and told me to restart cos I failed - wtf is that shit? The new career mode isn't a make your own story mode its a play a predetermined story mode.
Pc player here... Getting wwe is such a gamble. Usually filled with chrashes, bugs etc 😔 wish i had a console when it comes to games like this

I've already played it for 22 hours in the last 3 days. No glitch or crash yet.

Get it for the weapon throwing alone.
I’d love a WCW vs. NWO, from the N64, remake. Can’t tell you how many hours the boys and I sunk into that game.
4:14 what's up with the blue tint? Is the match being treated like with the fiend and seth hell in a cell match with the red lights?😂😂
Looks like a negative film filter. Possibly copywrite issue? 🤷♂️
It's a custom arena with custom effects and I hope your pillow is warm from both sides this night for reminding me of that abomination of a match

I think it would be really cool if they would just take a chance and create a different pay per view showcase. Let me play through survivor series showcase or summerslam. it would just give them a reason to get certain legends in the game. I just don’t know why people like dlo brown isn’t a legend . All those mid card 90s wrestlers should be in these games
Wasted so much money on this. Online servers don't work at all. Kills me.

2k is known for cheating in all games similar to fighting games with small hit boxes or non at all just the small things they do to keep you playing all games so it but 2k takes it to another level you would know this if you didn't just start playing games 10 years ago 😑
2k24 is going to one the best wrestling games in long time
Classic 2K making us all reminisce over the good days 😂

Hi, November 2024 anyone?
I haven't played a wrestling game for over 24 years since "No Mercy" came out on the Nintendo 64 in 2000.
I've wanted to, but so many of the games having glitches put me off.
But this looks like a pretty good game to start getting back into them. So i think I'll check it out.
N64 version is probably superior
I remember those days.
Smack down here comes the pain was the best wrestling game of all time in my opinion, stack rosters with Goldberg and brock lesnar and the random back stage fight with random wrestlers in the story mode…..
No comments on the MyGM mode? I feel like that's going to be the deciding factor on whether or not I buy this game or stick with Smackdown HCTP and Smackdown vs. Raw 2006.
After playing one season, it’s amazing! The new additions make it a lot more fun. The only thing I don’t like is that trades can only be made the week after a PPV.
