- Three part sea fishing trip, consisting of two visits to shoreham harbour over two weekends with very different conditions.
Then a third trip to Pevensey on a flat calm day with some of my subscribers.
Very difficult conditions but a few fish caught.

Fishing generally last weekend for loads of people wasn’t the best but am going to have another crack this weekend weather allowing although a crap tide. 👍🐠🐠🐠🎣
I’m actually impressed at your pendulum cast, I could never do it myself. I hope the fish arrive for you as it is frustrating as hell without. But we’re out here watching and waiting with you and just enjoying the banter all the same, good video keep it going
Hi Chris thanks for the support and it’s really appreciated. Hadn’t been out in a wee while with a Christmas, weather, rubbish tides and life getting in the way. The last three trips as you saw were frustrating but as we know that fishing and why we keep going.
Have had lots of reports from all over the UK and all patchy catches.
Am out again this Saturday with Andy to Seaford after anything but preferably a plaice 🤞as for the pendulum have been practicing this week in a local safe field and amazed at the distance achieved, why I didn’t decide on doing it before….probably fear of crack offs as have to be very smooth in transition from lead being behind to swinging into the cast. But practice and more practice needed.

Another excellent video Paul, look forward to your next instalment mate, I’ve just done my first session a few weeks ago, totally blanked as usual, so I’m hoping to fish this weekend, you’re right about the tides they’ve been crap even over here in Wales, the weather has been a bit dodgy as well, my mum & dad have a lifeline, my dad wears his all the time, but as mum has dementia, she tends to forget to put it on, so we try to remind her to wear it, she says she doesn’t need it so as you can imagine it’s a nightmare 🙁 Tight one’s Paul 🎣🎣🎣🎣
Hi Jeff good to hear from you in sunny Wales with the lovely beer from Brains which I really got a taste for when I worked down that way for a wee while earlier in my life and enjoyed every minute in fantastic scenery amongst really friendly people. Hi Kevin, I think I need to figure out how to bribe the fishing gods 😂 planning to go tomorrow and earlier in the week predicted light winds now predicting 25mph westerly 😞 still going to go and will be me and Andy who keeps telling me the only way to catch is to get a bait in the water so tomorrow is the day where it could all change 😂😂🤞🤞 had loads of others messaging me saying have i seen the weather forecast and must be mad to go but still going to have a crack. Hi fellow thanks for searching and do not know why TH-cam is not sending notifications. Fishing has been really tough and getting inside my head with lack of fish but generally not the best on many beaches around the UK.
Not to be deterred am out this weekend and going to be a bit blowy but as Andy keeps telling me I will only stand a chance of catching if I have a bait in the water😂😂

Hi Andrew still very much alive and kicking 😂 but I suppose I am now at an age that that prospect is getting closer to finding out if fishing heaven exists 😂
Hadn’t been out through a combination of Christmas, really crap weather, rubbish tides, work, a sore neck and life in general.
Last three sessions rubbish as shown on video but not to be deterred am out again this Saturday just Andy and I loaded up with Ragworm and crossed fingers.

Another great video Paul, don't worry about a lack of fish they will come. Up here in Norfolk we only have dabs, flounders and whiting at the moment we would love the chance o catch plaice

Hi paul you ok mate, great to see you bk on the beach. Sometimes distance duz come in to play when fishing is tuff. Sure you will be bk amongst them soon paul. It has slowed a bit now up our neck , still odd codling still showing up aswell. All the best paul from GRIMSBY.

Nice to see yer out again mate I watch alot of TH-cam fishing and there ain't much coming out of the sea all over the country and with the pendulum casting its all about timing you'll crack it mate
Hi Tom reassured to hear fishing is tough generally out there. Am determined to crack the Pendulum cast which I was always a bit wary of. But going to get a lesson and then practice in the field next door. Even with the bad effort am getting out further 😃cheers fella 🍺🐠🐠

Nice bass for your pal 👍 , Glad to see you back out having a bash , as for not catching, sometimes the fish are there and other times they're not , but that's why we go fishing , it's the not knowing of when that next fish is coming, no matter how big or small. Regarding the casting , the pendulum gets massive distance when done right , I haven't really given it much of a go , but i am going to start practicing the Hatteras cast , it gets good distance and looks alot easier than the pendulum casting style , Glad you're well and as always looking forward to the next one 🎣 👍

Whilst I agree that the fishing is hard going at the moment, I am convinced that decent fresh bait gives a much better chance of catching.
I noticed in your latest video that your worms were well past their best and there's not much lurking around Shoreham West Arm that will take big lumps of squid.
I have had a bit of success recently using fresh bloiw lug, on it's own or tipped wth a small piece of squid.
Admittedly fresh worm is not plentiful at the moment but it's worth keeping an eye out and ringing round the tackle shops.
With some decent plaice starting to show I'm convinced fresh black or fresh blow lug will give the best results.
Let me know when you're next heading for Shoreham Arm and I'll make sure you have a goodly supply of juicy worms as a thankyou for your excellent videos.

Thanks for taking the time to watch and bothering to comment really means a lot.
Agree about fresh bait and definitely gives an edge. Problem being we live a wee way from the coast and have relied in the past on internet deliveries via DHL and just the delivery cost is £12.00 and quality is hit and miss. I used to dig bait when younger but had time to go to a beach the day before but work now gets in the way.
The other issue is early starts and many tackle shops open at nine and parking at a preferred beach then can be an issue.
Your advice re the arm and particularly worm baits tipped with squid is well received and will definitely try this on future visits. It would be great to meet you and brilliant to have some really fresh bait and that is a kind offer much appreciated and will take you up on that.
Do you fish any other local beaches around the Shoreham area?
