I met Paul & had a beer with him. He was a lovely down to earth bloke. He signed all my early Maiden stuff. He talked about Bruce who seems to have been needling him behind the scenes for a while. After we hung out he got on stage and sung his heart out. Bruce Dickinson is a powerhouse, but I honestly preferred Maiden's stuff with Paul. Bruce's voice suited the prog albums (Somewhere In Time & 7th Son), and his solo stuff with Roy Z is incredible, but no need to denigrate DiAnno. As the man says, Bruce is opera Paul is punk.
