Thanks for the review mate I’ve just bought a pair of these new for under £75 in the sale as a present. I’m so glad I came across your review! Shame you’ve stopped doing reviews. Yours is the only review I found where the software is working on all the settings I was going to ignore the software based on other reviews but thanks to you I’m looking forward to tweaking them! Your review has made me feel like I’ve made a good purchase. Btw did the headset end up lasting long? 😃
Thank you for making a point to emphasize the lack of software bloat, it is important to a lot of people. I just tried another gaming headset by Corsair, but they were uncomfortable and I returned them. When I uninstalled their software it was nearly 3GB of files, absolutely ridiculous.
The only thing that puts me off of these is the full plastic build. I get that they do it for the weight of the headset but for £179 I would like to know that they aren't going to snap easily. Great review dude. Looking forward to the next one!
I kind of see where you’re coming from but I don’t really agree. These certainly aren’t going to snap with normal use. Don’t know what you’re doing with your headphones but if anything plastic is better as it has some give and some bounce. Where as metal would just bend/snap.
Mine have just arrived. Looks like software has improved. Older reviews show mic tone and volume gate greyed out. Time to try them out. Subbed. Check out my sim rig when you have 5 min. Later.
Make sure u allow from the windows for the mic and speakers to use external software. Might be the cause that u dont see any difference in the off, warm and clear mic options.
Great video thanks. How do you think the movie and music performance? I am especially curious about his bass performance. Does it feel like we're in the cinema?
Hi Peter, thanks for the comment. I think you may be half right. It doesn't tell you verbally but on closer inspection it does cause the LED indicator to cycle 3 colours and flash twice, in my case green as the battery is 90%+ Thanks for the tip
@@BigFootReviews no worries, I had the one up the epos 670 and that verbally told you the battery life so I figured this might be the same. I guess they decided to alter it a bit
Have you had any issues with headset? I've read a lot of negative reviews of it not working properly, having weird crackling noises and connectivity issues, even bricking the whole headset in some cases
@@BigFootReviews it might have to do with the headphones falling on the ground repeatedly or there's a build-up of damps that turns into water drops, which can get into the electronics within the headset. Maybe.
In terms of footsteps I honestly only have 2 games as reference. Warzone: where the footstep sounds are awful anyway and rogue company where they are fantastic. Hear people coming a mile away. May try Valorent to see how they are in that.
Hey Dariusz, Yes I have set them up as 7.1. As long as you go into it knowing its not true 7.1 then it is perfectly fine. Just don't expect it to be game changing!
Hey! Do you know if the Epos Gaming Suite needs to be running in the background in order to use sidetone? Or do the sidetone settings get saved on the headset? I want to use this headset on a PS5, but sidetone is a must for me.
Hey Emre, unfortunately I don't think it does. I don't have a PS5 to test it for you but I know that sometimes even with the software launching with windows I still have to select my chosen profile. Not every time but sometimes.
@@EmreErg yessir...i hear my voice clearly whenever i flip down the mic..just need to enable sidetone in epos suite..u can adjust sidetone gain as well 👌🏽😄
I heard they got some connection issues with the drivers/firmware? I could have lived with that if they didn't look absolutley ridicilous!!! What the hell did the designer think of?
Hey mate, I've had no issues with connection, drivers or firmware. Looks of course are always subjective. I quite like them and to be honest the battery life and microphone quality are worth it anyway in my opinion.

I can see you have access to side tone in app , mine is deactivated what version software do you use in this video ?

Hi, For general movie watching these would be great. However these are more balanced than bass heavy.
The switch thing I’ve heard is when you flick it and the light blinks a voice will tell you battery level when wearing

Literally have had this headset for 5 days and the Micro USB port has stopped working.
Have you had any issues with headset? I've read a lot of negative reviews of it not working properly, having weird crackling noises and connectivity issues, even bricking the whole headset in some cases
i had this issue with sony's xm4 headset myself. Weird crackling noises is the only thing that bothers me.
Hi ManuZ, nothing like that to report with mine. Still going strong like day 1! Those people must have just got unlucky.

You are tempting me. They have wireless in-ear stuff too?
I don’t know if Epos have in ear headphones for pc I guess you mean?

@@shoyoyot123 That’s awesome! So when you are on your PS4 and you flip down the mic, do you hear yourself? You just enable it in the Epos Suite right?
