Barefoot| Vivo barefoot Trail FG vs. Knit FG
Today we are looking at two potential replacements for my Hi-viz vivo shoes that you have probably seen in some of my previous Vivo videos. They are over 5 years old now and time for a fresh pair. But which ones? Let me know in the comments!

    I've used this exact same shoe, same color Can't complain at all about it, I now own 3 Feelgrounds shoes & 1 sandal I owned 3 other Feelgrounds in the past, I love the brand I have tried many barefoot brands before but seem not to stick with them

    The Whitin brand from Amazon look EXACTLY the same at a fraction of the cost. And the toe box is WIDE. $40.00--you're welcome!

    Heinnie was giving these away recently with orders over £25 and a code, so I got one and I love it. It does have to be sharpened once every two weeks, but it's easy to sharpen and does the job for the work I do (I work in a supermarket and am regularly cutting plastic off of products). I also have a Lansky World Legal for those jobs where I need something a bit more destructive.

    Thanks for the comparison. However, I would have appreciated a deeper dive into the difference in performances between the two (ie. how they differ in feeling when you are doing the same activities, whether it is hiking, or working out, etc.). The only difference you had mentioned was size, tongue, and laces, which are all frankly side by side comparisons, not actual performance.

    Well, I’m sure you decided by now, but I just watching the video I would never pick the net I have always found out after a while that knit stretches a little bit and when you try to tighten up to shoot the lock yourself in it is all bunches up on you and it’s not a lot of fun

    Thanks for sharing your experience with this shoe Please start your video with explaining your gait cycle, are u wearing athletic toe socks f.eks, are u aware of the "leave slack on shoe lace" if the design is meant for it?. do u arch, then put on your socks and shoes? (sit- cross right leg over left- tilt + curve foot, put on shoe while u tie it while the leg still rests over the left leg. (I do this on my gobi 2 desert because I use them for boxing practice. I strongly advise u to stay away from toe springs if u happen to take side+ backwards steps in the shoes. I also advice u to check out: ACL pattern in the human body. If u start your video similar to what I suggested, the barefoot OG's can easier understand if u have any misguiding data. I gem for u: learn about the habits (Etiquette) of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (RIP). After that u will understand what energy efficient movement is. Keep up the good work mate :)

    My knit Feelgrounds have almost exactly the same sole shape and dimensions as my Vivobarefoot Ra II's. I put the right sole of one up against the left sole of the other and they are almost identical. Also, the toe boxes feel the same to me. Perhaps Feelgrounds changed the shape of the sole since you bought yours?

    • @zac5557
      @zac5557 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They have! They upgraded the soles to have more durability in their newer models, so this video is not really relevant current day

  • @Rhadoo89
    @Rhadoo89 ปีที่แล้ว

    The response email from Feelgrounds was perfectly fine and justified. Of course outsole wear depends on the weight of the wearer. If the weight is lower, the outsole will wear out less, and vice-versa. That doesn't mean they imply you're overweight. Only an idiot would take that personally, as an insult. Also, learn how to spell properly. It's "their soles" instead of "there soles". I'm not even a native English speaker and I know this.

  • @kbuzbee
    @kbuzbee ปีที่แล้ว

    I’ve read, on multiple sites, Vivos aren’t the widest option. What I’ve found (with your same limitation of wearing a US15mens) is VFF Classic 50. These fit and work great. Lems Primal Zen. Lems offers longer/shorter & wider/narrower models. For most folks the first distinction only impacts whether they “size up” or not but when you’re at the top of their range that isn’t really an option. The Primal Zens are their longest and widest. They fit my foot very well. I would have preferred a bit thinner sole, but it’s fine. Finally for summer sandals, Xero Genesis US15. These sandals are perfect for every day wear. I’d wear them 12 months a year except for the occasional nasty weather we see here in Ohio Jan-March. All that said, I only wear any shoes at all 1-2 days per week for 1-3 hours each go. Even so, my feet are much happier in these three models than they were previously.

    Great review! Your feet are fine. Actually hard to imagine anyone having enough interest to watch a toe sock video who is “grossed out” by feet. Stop worrying, those shots were very helpful. My feet are similar to yours, eu 50, same general shape/proportion. Gonna try the Injinji and XOToes. We’ll see how that goes

  • @jgsk78
    @jgsk78 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'd be interested how the sizing of these feel side by side. I've seen many comments about the knits being long and here other ppl say the regular fgs are short.. your experience. I definitely want one of these pairs.. Cheers

    sadly it is illegal, the tab up top unfortunately can be used to deploy the knife, release it from the body, therefore its a flip/flick knife and is illegal

    • @dudestyle01
      @dudestyle01 ปีที่แล้ว

      No it isn't illegal... And now you're making up your own 'legal' definitions.... There is no such thing as a flip/flick knife... You literally just made it up, to try and sound important and knowledgeable 😅

    Some Vivos are great, I have a pair that are SG, and still have tread after 8 years at least. They are called the Franklin style. I did, however, had 2 pairs of FG's that had the rubber on the soles petrify, crack and fall apart. Total garbage. Vivo had no interest at all examining the shoes, if anything to see if there was a fault in the rubber compound. All I got was lip service and a rehearsed speach. All I wanted was an explanation, not really a free pair of shoes. Xero is my choice now, they are holding up perfectly.

    Something else of note, which is how I came across your video; if you search up videos on FeelGrounds shoes, especially here on YT, 90% of the videos presented are clearly fake/paid/company affiliated people making them. I even saw 2 videos with the exact same description just copied and pasted. It's also run by a bunch of young "entrepreneurs", no one experienced, which is a red flag. This company should be avoided. They are selling cheap, low-quality shoes and relying on forced advertising and marketing strategies to sell them expensively.

    It makes no sense in that a show with twice the amount of millimeters has about as best as a thousandth of the durability while “only” costing 50% more is unfathomable. And the slipping issue is a no go regardless if it were a shoe you can count on for a thousand lifetimes. Lol
