- Samgyupsal restaurants have got to be one of the most popular restaurants in the Philippines, so we had to check one out!
We tried some K BBQ in Dubai, but it did not go well so we were here to redeem ourselves! We headed to our favorite mall SM North and checked out a Samgyupsal place, one of the best-rated restaurants in our area. Hope you all enjoy it!!!

Another Korean way of doing Samgyupsal is using the lettuce as a wrap. Put the sliced meat and rice on the bigger side of the lettuce. Roll it like a baby burrito and dip it on the sauce.
There are a lot of Sangyupsal places in Timog Triangle and Maginhawa Street in Quezon City.
Another good place to try Korean food is at Poblacion Makati.
In Ermita Manila, there is a Little Korea. Just an idea since you're staying here in the Philippines until December. Maybe you can collab with Jessica Lee. She is a Korean based in the Philippines, fellow Gen Z, A'tin (SB19 fan) and a former kpop trainee. Maybe she can show you the ropes on kpop, korean food and culture.

We’ll see in the future if they r able to develop the skill of interacting w locals (probably when the existing format isnt garnering as much views anymor) they might hav to step it up & Go out of their comfort zone Sooner than later because Theyr content is starting to get draggy as it lacks variety. They should mix it up a bit mor!(like do some challenges w/ a filipino twist)

What we do is we don't usually order that many side dishes, especially the rice because the rice will fill you up easily. 😁 Then we focus on ordering the best meat available, usually the beef. But since it's your first time, it's good that you tried everything. Next time you can ask for refills only for the items that you enjoy the most.
Soban doesn't have the choice for unli-refills if you're referring to that. They're like a proper Korean Samgyupsal restaurant. Also, the side dishes are part of the set, right? I mean, they don't get to choose, especially if they don't have an idea about the side dishes 🤔

Soban taste close to authentic Samgyupsal place than any other in the Philippines, I guess that’s why it’s rated high. You really get what you paid for (considering most Filipinos would just go to unli-meat samgyupsal place) I really love that place and I enjoyed watching you two absolutely murder your dish 😂 It is the culture of Korea to let the customers cook, but when I’ve visited Korea for the first time, the waiters must’ve seen me struggle so they’ve cooked it for me - I believe they do that for foreigners unless you opt to cook for yourself.
The lettuce is there to wrap your meat and rice/kimchi in, it’s supposed to be for the crunch and to lessen the grease. The side dishes are there in case you feel too greasy with the meat dishes.
Also, I was waiting for you guys to say that the inspiration was because you used to be KPOP reactors 😂😂

You guys should go to Siargao now while it's not as rainy as Manila. Soon it will be typhoon season there. You can come back to Manila in December. Or you can travel north to Clark in Pampanga, go to Baguio and also the Rice Terraces. This way you can experience not only the food but the different cultures there are all over the country.

Pililplno culture RICE is a main dish, people eat rice morning, lunch and dinner, without rice is like without oxygen for Pilipino culture. I gotta say guys, i was a little anxious seeing you cook the meat. Cooking it yourself is part of the experience. You are supposed to eat meat with the lettuce. You should wrap the meat, rice, sauce and kimchi in the lettuce and eat it whole, In one bite. Koreans have a specific way of eating it. Maybe your experience would have been different if you eat it properly and tasted the flavor combinations of the food.
Anyway, you are hilarious to watch. Keep it up

There's actually a way of eating samgyupsal. First get a leaf/ lettuce and put it in your palm, Second add a piece of meat to it like the pork you cooked and add the side dishes depending on your preference then the last step is wrap the entire thing with the lettuce and eat it in one bite. You can also put a little bit of rice before wrapping the entire thung or just eat it separately. I swear it'll taste 3 times better when you try it than eating it with just rice.

You're eating it the Filipino way, meat with rice haha. Korean way those meat strips should be wrapped by the lettuce, add sauce or dip if you need to. Waiter should have assisted. Its all good :D

It usually tastes better if you put grilled meat together with the grilled garlic kimchi cheese and rice/other side dishes depends on your preference. The amount of each food you'll put on the wrap is up to you coz you'll only know that after you get the taste of the whole samgyup wrap.. but of course ur very epic....very entertaining watching you guys eat.... wait ...i need to go get my own samgyup ...you make my tummy growl haha...
Hi guys. There's a proper way of eating samgyupsal and many comments here expressed that. However, since it's your first time, its ok to experiment. I noticed you've struggled how to go about it but that's okay. You can view some videos on other channels explaining how to eat this properly usually explained by Koreans themselves. Did you get the unlimited meat dishes menu version? I didn't' notice.
I would have agreed with you except this isn’t their first time. They did mention trying it in Dubai and not enjoying it - maybe bec they were doing it incorrectly. Funny how they want to redeem the experience of eating Korean bbq but doing the exact same thing the first time. They could have asked the waiters for assistance. Maybe they’re too shy (they don’t interact much with others) or maybe they didn’t want to disturb the waiters but they seem to forget they’re in the Philippines where it’s people’s pleasure to assist someone if asked.

You can always eat using spoon and fork if you’re not used to chopsticks. However, if you decide to try, you should eat your rice from the bowl when using chopsticks.
