as a southern european i really enjoyed to see our culture represented on the game, as a person from a smal country makes me really happy to see how our culture kinda is being actually represented, the buildings look amazing and super realistic (spanish, italy, portuguese and greek style) look pretty nice
I would also add croatia because waterfalls remind of Krka waterfalls in croatia and Markovic is clearly slavic last name so I think they had some inspiration in croatia to.
EA and the Sims team had no intention of not releasing the pack in Russia. They used that as an excuse to push the pack back because weddings don't work. Y'all are so gullible. And the game changers "taking a stand" was only to help ea because if they showed the early access gameplay no one would buy the pack because it is bugged into oblivion

Ugh I love this world! It's so Italy and mediterranean inspired and reminds me of so many of the towns I've visited!! And the names of the lots are in Italian, one of them means "happiness in the sand" another means the "bay of love" and the starter home is "little light"! such cute names, such a beautiful world, honestly might buy the pack for just the world lol

Then the lots, I can't seem to catch all of them, but there are Baia dell'amore which is Love's bay, Via romanza which idk how to translate but Romance Street sounds like it, then La coppia serena is The serene couple, Felicità sulla sabbia is Happiness on sand, Celebrazioni d'amore is Love celebrations, Piccola luce is The small light and idk what else I've missed lol

Reminds me of GrayStillPlays. He hasn't played the Sims in awhile, but when he did, he usually tortured his characters with mazes & other problematic layouts for the pathfinding.
The waterfalls remind me soo much of plitvice lakes in croatia and the fact that one family have Slavic last name kind of confirms my theory that they took inspiration from Croatia. I love this world!

Both luminoso and amorosa exist in Spanish, but porto doesn't, we say puerto XD I think the world's name Tartosa, is a bit of a butchering if the Spanish city named Tortosa.

As a Southern European, I'm really happy to finally see my culture represented in the Sims. Finally a place where I can put my traditional builds without them looking awkward because of all the North American looking builds in the background 😅😅
Yes, finally!! I live in the south of Italy and I never know where to put my Italian style houses. I often put them in the more lush area of Oasis Spings (where the Calientes live) because the architecture kinda fits but it’s still in the desert so it looks nothing like here.
I'm delighted that the pack is being released in Russia now. But as Kayla said there's never been previous issues, the sims 4 is already marked as an 18+ game there, no laws would have been broken and given previous sims 4 content the team knew that. They are fully aware of what the laws are. It's EA for goodness sake, they have a huge legal team to tell them that. I want here to mention that I do not believe that the game changers, in any capacity, were informed of EAs plans and I fully appreciate every game changer that has publicly stood by the Russian community. However, the sequence of events is really odd. The statements made by EA are odd. I don't think we'll ever have proof of this but I do believe this controversy was planned for publicity. I think EA was hoping we'd all delight in them giving Russia the pack after these complications and see them as some sort of ambassador for LGBTQ+ rights. This whole situation seems to be a scummy scheme on EAs behalf. Again, I do not believe Kayla or any other game changer was involved in this. I think they reacted to the news at the same time as us and I'm so happy to see them stand up for what is right and have integrity in the matter. I'm delighted for the Russian players that wanted this pack, but at the same time I'm outraged at EA that the Russian community was targeted.
Might have something to do with the recent war threats regarding Ukraine, some passive aggressive cold war stances, maybe some investors at EA were being fussy and wanted to make a scene.

I think it has more to do with the laws against being gay in Russia. The sims has been trying to be as vocal as they can about lgbt+ issues however simmers are not impressed. This was probably a stunt to make more lgbt+ people believe they care more than they do.

They knew about it since they didnt had any problems with Pets dlc and updates with flags, cloths. They just used Russia as an escape goat for their own goods. they dont care about lgbtq+ and especially lgbtq+ in russia. Just look how they expended russian law on all ex-USSR countries. they thought "its the same thing". they banned it in Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan. few days later they realized what russian laws do not expend to other countries. and few days later after everyone told them how this law actually works they unbanned it in russia. At first they were trying to blame it on russian gov but they are the one who were banning it. after this shitshow i have no interest to donate my money to them. they are clearly dont care about their own community. They used us to gain more "good company" points.

I think the starter home being a little too expensive to be a starter home is a nod to how this is the DLC for more than one sims to enjoy, so if you create two sims you can afford it
I find it funny that it’s a start home on a private island. You’re just moving into the area, you don’t have a lot of money so you buy your own private island. Surely an expensive house would make more sense there.
It’s been that way for quite a while now. I don’t think EA has solely built the lots in a world since before Eco Lifestyle. That was 2020. (I think they collaborated for Eco Lifestyle a bit, but I could be wrong).
@@Kate09090 Not they didn’t up until the pack that came out after Eco lifestyle we had the builds that they made up until recently they just started collaborating with simmers. Also Eco lifestyle came out in June of 2020

Thanks for the review! The world is “pretty” for the TS4 standards, but if there’s not much to do outside building and swimming in the waterfall, I don’t think I’m going to play much with it. Also, I hate the wedding event so much that I usually just marry my sims at home with no ceremony (they should add a wedding registration procedure to submit to the city hall via mail or pc though), so I see no use for any wedding hall. Hahaha! XD Also, if they wanted to be Italy inspired, I’m sorry to say it, but I fear they failed a bit (the Italian names for the neighborhoods are ok though).
There's also the city hall rabbit hole building where your sims can just elope if they don't want the whole big wedding thing. It's near the indian restaurant i believe.
When you opened the first lot I was like “oh wow that looks AMAZING! The sims team must be stepping up their building game” Kayla: “these lots were built by simmers” Me: “ohhh yes that makes MUCH more sense”

I keep getting so excited for this pack, but then I remember that nearly all npcs that get invited to any weddings will immediately stick out/mess up the beautiful vibes of the lots and whatnot with their randomized formal outfits and of course that damn eyeball ring lmao.
Im loving all the different cultures in all the venues! The town is BEAUTIFUL, I immediately thought of like Greek, Roman, mythology. Also beautiful Roman villas and Grecian ruins to propose by, it’s like so whimsical with the waterfalls. Imagin like an Italian wine vineyard wedding 😫
This is the perfect world! I love the architecture of the buildings and the whole vibe. I always live in the most reclusive part of which world because they always have beautiful lakes and ocean views, and this world is all that but every where! I'm so excited. My sim recently engaged with Zoe Patel and the Indian wedding venue will be perfect
It would be cool if wedding venues could work almost like the community spaces in eco lifestyle. Like if it'd normally be a park but then you could preset another version of the lot that'd automatically get switched out when a wedding event is planned there. Especially for the beach one it'd be perfect
Agreed. I’ve kinda made my own by moving 2 sims in getting them to fall in love get married n have a kid lol then I move them out so it would be nice to make it more of a career option w stuff to do and progress. I usually do it w a photographer bc it fits
Seems like it would have been an obvious choice, right? Seamstress/tailor & bakery wouldn't hurt my feelings either. Imagine being able to have sims that bake cakes for a living (cupcake machine monstrosity aside) or sew wedding attire.
I was gonna pick this pack up on release just to add to the collection thinking it's nothing I could really get into or seeing myself having much use for it but now after seeing this video I almost wish I didn't take a peek because seeing it all now... I would have been floored by this pack when I realized how much content was in it. I don’t really understand why they pushed the global release date back though. Now the whole world has to anxiously wait for the pack to be released instead of just Russian simmers. I was sad when I heard it had been pushed back because I was really excited for it.
I'd love a wedding boutique store! Selling all wedding and bridesmaids dresses and some tuxes. Also can make it have the new tea set the pack comes with for serving tea and snacks while you are shopping like the real life fancy bridal stores. It could also sell wedding essentials like wedding decor, balloons, decals, streamers, etc. for sims buying supplies for throwing wedding parties :)
The empty lot on the beach reminds me of Sunset Vally though, I don’t play the sims anymore but I frequently dream at night of playing a fictional Sims Game that is based on The Sims 3 but is in my brain so it is way more complicated and complex than real sims 3 and things seem very realistic like way too realistic. It is kinda quirky but I think so many of us has a version of the sims in their mind.
Summers taking a stand for Russian simmers warms my heart, they didn’t cancel cats and dogs, eco lifestyle or island living in Russia because they have a lgbtq+ household, so whys this any different?

I'm honestly surprised how many people actually like this world. Do we really have such small standards? This world had such potential however it's just dissapoiting. I live in a mediterranean country and this world is not it. If they wanted to acctualy get the spirite they should have put bars, caffes in the town, sand and rocky beatches, port with ships. Furthermore this is a wedding pack yet we got one wedding location. How about a church, boat, beach wedding etc. Furthermore country wedding with vineyards. They could have made one house/appartment in the centre livable where an old couple could live and furnishe it with older furniture. The only thing worth buying this pack is because of the world yet again it's half made. It's not worth the money.
This is possibly one of the best looking worlds in the game. When I eventually get a new PC, I might make a new blank save of this world and create a small Principality out of it.
I'm not big on the wedding play. But...this world is amazing! I just wish there was at least one fully usable lot in the little downtown section. But other than that...I absolutely love it. I can't wait to play in this world.

I can`t wait to build my own cute houses with families in this world, but the most interesting idea I have so far is put this chinese wedding lot on the top of Mt Kotokebi(I hope I wrote it right) world near hot springs, I think it would perfectly fit in there!
My heart actually grew a few sizes when I saw that those townies have a Croatian surname, also the world is inspired by Croatia, Italy and the Mediterranian. Finally some representation, I can't wait to put my families in this awesome world😍

This is the first Pack for Sims 4 I'm really excited about in a loooooooong time... It's like the world, the Build Stuff, the CAS-Stuff, and it's nice to finally be motivated to actually do a nice wedding for your sims! And I'm sooooooo glad they releasing it in Russia too. I was waiting for this Pack to come out and checked Twitter to see, it's coming out in Russia too. I'm really happy about that, and I think it's kinda cute that they're delaying the release, so it's coming out for everyone on the same day.

I have never been to a tropical coastal destination, but being from the PNW coast, I can only think about how cold and windy that beach wedding venue would end up being, even in summer here, and how much danger that private island would be in during the spring and fall storm seasons! Still, very pretty pack!

The lagoon area looks so much like the Praia Fluvial in Mina de Sao Domingos in Southern Portugal hahaha, I go there every year and as someone who is living in the UK and don't always get to go back home this is so nice to play with if I ever miss it!
Last name Markovic is so awesome since it includes all of us from former Yugoslavia (Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro…). All in all, everyone was included, the Russian players will have the pack unedited , seems like a happy ending to me
I really wish EA had the simmers also build some retail lots that were wedding themed for the gallery. Like a dress shop, bakery, and florist. That way if you had Get to work you could download them from the gallery and plop them straight into your game day one. That would have been a nice alternative to the stall shops.
I want to build in that world. 1) Other wedding venues 2) A cute restaurant with a nice view and a Mediterranean menu 3) a cute honeymoon rental in a traditional style. Cute, yet luxurious and with many woohoo spots. 4) A church wedding venue thing. And I imagine it to be a classic Mediterran church with maybe a slight Arabic look to it like in Niebla’s Main Church, Andalusia, Spain.

Ugh I love this world! It's so Italy and mediterranean inspired and reminds me of so many of the towns I've visited!! And the names of the lots are in Italian, one of them means "happiness in the sand" another means the "bay of love" and the starter home is "little light"! such cute names, such a beautiful world, honestly might buy the pack for just the world lol

Then the lots, I can't seem to catch all of them, but there are Baia dell'amore which is Love's bay, Via romanza which idk how to translate but Romance Street sounds like it, then La coppia serena is The serene couple, Felicità sulla sabbia is Happiness on sand, Celebrazioni d'amore is Love celebrations, Piccola luce is The small light and idk what else I've missed lol

Both luminoso and amorosa exist in Spanish, but porto doesn't, we say puerto XD I think the world's name Tartosa, is a bit of a butchering if the Spanish city named Tortosa.

Yes, finally!! I live in the south of Italy and I never know where to put my Italian style houses. I often put them in the more lush area of Oasis Spings (where the Calientes live) because the architecture kinda fits but it’s still in the desert so it looks nothing like here.

I'm delighted that the pack is being released in Russia now. But as Kayla said there's never been previous issues, the sims 4 is already marked as an 18+ game there, no laws would have been broken and given previous sims 4 content the team knew that. They are fully aware of what the laws are. It's EA for goodness sake, they have a huge legal team to tell them that.
I want here to mention that I do not believe that the game changers, in any capacity, were informed of EAs plans and I fully appreciate every game changer that has publicly stood by the Russian community.
However, the sequence of events is really odd. The statements made by EA are odd. I don't think we'll ever have proof of this but I do believe this controversy was planned for publicity. I think EA was hoping we'd all delight in them giving Russia the pack after these complications and see them as some sort of ambassador for LGBTQ+ rights. This whole situation seems to be a scummy scheme on EAs behalf.
Again, I do not believe Kayla or any other game changer was involved in this. I think they reacted to the news at the same time as us and I'm so happy to see them stand up for what is right and have integrity in the matter. I'm delighted for the Russian players that wanted this pack, but at the same time I'm outraged at EA that the Russian community was targeted.
Might have something to do with the recent war threats regarding Ukraine, some passive aggressive cold war stances, maybe some investors at EA were being fussy and wanted to make a scene.

I think it has more to do with the laws against being gay in Russia. The sims has been trying to be as vocal as they can about lgbt+ issues however simmers are not impressed. This was probably a stunt to make more lgbt+ people believe they care more than they do.

They knew about it since they didnt had any problems with Pets dlc and updates with flags, cloths. They just used Russia as an escape goat for their own goods. they dont care about lgbtq+ and especially lgbtq+ in russia. Just look how they expended russian law on all ex-USSR countries. they thought "its the same thing". they banned it in Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan. few days later they realized what russian laws do not expend to other countries. and few days later after everyone told them how this law actually works they unbanned it in russia. At first they were trying to blame it on russian gov but they are the one who were banning it. after this shitshow i have no interest to donate my money to them. they are clearly dont care about their own community. They used us to gain more "good company" points.

I think the starter home being a little too expensive to be a starter home is a nod to how this is the DLC for more than one sims to enjoy, so if you create two sims you can afford it
I find it funny that it’s a start home on a private island. You’re just moving into the area, you don’t have a lot of money so you buy your own private island. Surely an expensive house would make more sense there.

I’m glad that the builds were built by simmers instead of the sims team because we all know the history with EA and building.
It’s been that way for quite a while now. I don’t think EA has solely built the lots in a world since before Eco Lifestyle. That was 2020.
(I think they collaborated for Eco Lifestyle a bit, but I could be wrong).

The world is “pretty” for the TS4 standards, but if there’s not much to do outside building and swimming in the waterfall, I don’t think I’m going to play much with it. Also, I hate the wedding event so much that I usually just marry my sims at home with no ceremony (they should add a wedding registration procedure to submit to the city hall via mail or pc though), so I see no use for any wedding hall. Hahaha! XD
Also, if they wanted to be Italy inspired, I’m sorry to say it, but I fear they failed a bit (the Italian names for the neighborhoods are ok though).
There's also the city hall rabbit hole building where your sims can just elope if they don't want the whole big wedding thing. It's near the indian restaurant i believe.

I keep getting so excited for this pack, but then I remember that nearly all npcs that get invited to any weddings will immediately stick out/mess up the beautiful vibes of the lots and whatnot with their randomized formal outfits and of course that damn eyeball ring lmao.
Im loving all the different cultures in all the venues! The town is BEAUTIFUL, I immediately thought of like Greek, Roman, mythology. Also beautiful Roman villas and Grecian ruins to propose by, it’s like so whimsical with the waterfalls. Imagin like an Italian wine vineyard wedding 😫

This is the perfect world! I love the architecture of the buildings and the whole vibe. I always live in the most reclusive part of which world because they always have beautiful lakes and ocean views, and this world is all that but every where! I'm so excited. It would be cool if wedding venues could work almost like the community spaces in eco lifestyle. Like if it'd normally be a park but then you could preset another version of the lot that'd automatically get switched out when a wedding event is planned there. Especially for the beach one it'd be perfect

I don’t really understand why they pushed the global release date back though. Now the whole world has to anxiously wait for the pack to be released instead of just Russian simmers. I was sad when I heard it had been pushed back because I was really excited for it.
I'd love a wedding boutique store! Selling all wedding and bridesmaids dresses and some tuxes. Also can make it have the new tea set the pack comes with for serving tea and snacks while you are shopping like the real life fancy bridal stores. It could also sell wedding essentials like wedding decor, balloons, decals, streamers, etc. for sims buying supplies for throwing wedding parties :)

The empty lot on the beach reminds me of Sunset Vally though, I don’t play the sims anymore but I frequently dream at night of playing a fictional Sims Game that is based on The Sims 3 but is in my brain so it is way more complicated and complex than real sims 3 and things seem very realistic like way too realistic. It is kinda quirky but I think so many of us has a version of the sims in their mind.
Summers taking a stand for Russian simmers warms my heart, they didn’t cancel cats and dogs, eco lifestyle or island living in Russia because they have a lgbtq+ household, so whys this any different?
No one will ever really know but it’s probably a mixture of bug fixes and inter political tensions.

I'm honestly surprised how many people actually like this world. Do we really have such small standards? This world had such potential however it's just dissapoiting. I live in a mediterranean country and this world is not it. If they wanted to acctualy get the spirite they should have put bars, caffes in the town, sand and rocky beatches, port with ships. Furthermore this is a wedding pack yet we got one wedding location. How about a church, boat, beach wedding etc. Furthermore country wedding with vineyards. They could have made one house/appartment in the centre livable where an old couple could live and furnishe it with older furniture. The only thing worth buying this pack is because of the world yet again it's half made. It's not worth the money.

Censorship here is getting more and more ridiculous each and every day, and the fact that it was influencing our precious game, that a lot of us have been playing since childhood and using it is as a better life simulator, was so devastating. Capitalism and poor management makes EA do awful stuff to their games a lot of times, but now we celebrate the one of not so many times that this EA pattern was ruined. Lots of love!

I have never been to a tropical coastal destination, but being from the PNW coast, I can only think about how cold and windy that beach wedding venue would end up being, even in summer here, and how much danger that private island would be in during the spring and fall storm seasons! this world was still better as del sol valley was very generic and the huge city in the view from the hills is just a backdrop.
Last name Markovic is so awesome since it includes all of us from former Yugoslavia (Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro…). All in all, everyone was included, the Russian players will have the pack unedited , seems like a happy ending to me
That beach lot is perfect for a recreation of Elizabeth swans wedding venue, of what it could have been

I really wish EA had the simmers also build some retail lots that were wedding themed for the gallery. Like a dress shop, bakery, and florist. That way if you had Get to work you could download them from the gallery and plop them straight into your game day one. That would have been a nice alternative to the stall shops.
I want to build in that world. 1) Other wedding venues 2) A cute restaurant with a nice view and a Mediterranean menu 3) a cute honeymoon rental in a traditional style. Cute, yet luxurious and with many woohoo spots. 4) A church wedding venue thing. And I imagine it to be a classic Mediterran church with maybe a slight Arabic look to it like in Niebla’s Main Church, Andalusia, Spain.

As a European I love the fact that we are getting another European world. I build in all the worlds, but European houses are just my comfort zone, and I’d love to build some fancy European beach houses
I have 4 modern German houses because they keep being advertised to me 😂
