    Very helpful, Vu! This video provided me with what I needed to skip the trial-and-error phase on my new Grind. Many thanks, Brother!

      Yesss! When I took apart the grind the first time, I wasn't sure what to expect either! I wasn't prepared! That rolled paper is clutch! Hahah

    Great info Vu!! Paper is almost always available. Whenever I gotta do some maintenance on a clutch/axis/bar lock I like to use an Allen wrench to feed through to pivot.
    😉👍🏻

      Yeah! I had other things I could've used, but paper has to be easier and more common hahah

    I found that a 3/16 inch drill bit works pretty good!

    I have enough bar lock knives that I bought a pivot tool that does what your piece of paper does, but it's metal so more rigid. It works great, but if you only have 1 or 2 knives with the bar lock, the paper trick will save you money for sure. I think I paid around 20 or 25 bucks for it.
    I like the Grind. It was probably the sharpest knife out of the box than any other knife I own. The edge is fragile though. I whittled on a stick and it took some minor rolls and chips. Easily sharpened out though.

      Yeah! I was sitting there thinking... what can I use that everyone has available? Especially if they're not expecting to need a tool. Boom! Lol rolled paper. Hahahahahahaahahahaha

    Thank you for the clear instructions! I pre-ordered this (have had it for a few days) and was able to easily adjust the springs after watching your video. I love this knife.
    Which model Kizer clip are you using? I might try one but want to make sure it'll fit.

      Go to kizerknives.com and search titamiun pocket clip. You will see 3 colors, black, blue, and plain

      @@vucachon I've had the Kizer clip for a few days, and I like it better than the factory clip. It fits great. Makes the knife easier to get in and out of my pocket, and it has nice smooth edges. Thanks!

    Are you liking the 3rd adjustment hole (lighter tension) better? Or did you go back to stronger tension?

    Was this made by kizer?

    • @vucachon
      @vucachon  ปีที่แล้ว

      No it wasn't! VOSTEED does their own OEM work now :)

  • @GeorgeMui
    @GeorgeMui ปีที่แล้ว

    wait hows this possible? kizer didn't patent the clutch lock? from what i can see its basically a clutch lock with 2 less adjustment holes

    • @vucachon
      @vucachon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it's different , but similar. Less holes, different springs, and slight differences in engineering. While the Clutch-Lock you can adjust both sides without needing to take out the pivot. Vosteed's crossbar lock is more traditional in its engineering, where you need to have a placeholder for the pivot to adjust/reassemble

    • @GeorgeMui
      @GeorgeMui ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@vucachon ohh i see so vosteed’s version is the traditional axis lock with holes and the clutch lock version is meant to have easy removable scales for adjusting like the drop bear. But im surprised just how little change is necessary for them to do something similar so easily lol

    • @vucachon
      @vucachon  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @George Mui yep! For patents, they have to go into a lot of detail for specifics! But I don't mind seeing companies innovating. Different if they are full copies, but any little variation is invited, as it'll lead to innovation!
