    A REAL knife reviewer! Not just talking hands and knife description, but some testing/usage as well. That is nice to see!

    Great video. I pre-ordered two of these. Vosteed said they had a mishap between air and sea shipping. They are really doing a great job and seem to sell out often. I love what they are doing.

    It was like you read my mind with the "how do I sharpen a scandi grind."

    I’m kinda dreading sharpening a Scandi. I can do every other grinds like compound, hollow, and flat, pretty well.

    Great review of this nice knife. I saw a review of Nightshade and went to the Vosteed site, because this brand does not seem to be distributed in France. Model not available for shipping outside the US at this time. And I saw the Grind. I really like the specs of this knife (154CM steel, Micarta plates, "axis-lock", shape of the blade), and I fell for this model ($75/€73.5). I chose the Green-Micro Bevel Scandi-Stonewashed. Your video confirms my choice of this knife. Norman friendships.🇨🇵

    I really like this one. I;m a Scandi grind fan. Some frag pattern handles are a bit rough on the hands. With gloves, it should be an absolute worker. If I wanted, I could lightly sand down and soften the frag. Sanding sheets rolled into a tube works really well for this.
    The biggest problem is that I get SAD watching all the great Vosteed products, as they are still hard to get in Australia. I hope some retailers and small importers are listening...

    A micro beveled scandi is still a powerful cutter in my experience.

    Like the blade shape. Scandi grind is a plus.

    Only ever had a Scandi grind in a fixed blade, they sure are meant for heavy use. If you weren’t finding any serious hot spots that’s impressive, the frag would probably be a pass for me if I planned to give this some heavy use. I think the plain micarta looks great anyway. Just strop it up and the edge should be no problem for a while. Love the pocket test! 😂 thanks!

    • @Stassa23
      @Stassa23  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah the smooth Micarta is definitely the one to get especially for doing heavier cutting and I’m with you I think it looks better 🍻🍻

    Yep. Frag pattern looks cool but not all that comfortable in hand and pockets - for me. Nice review though!

    Nice coverage sir. Waiting to get one. Not sure if you have handled the TOPS scandi folder but I would be interested in your thoughts on how that knife compares to the grind.

    • @Stassa23
      @Stassa23  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve just handled it briefly but for the price I’d say the Grind

      If they did Ti they’d probably do a framelock, which is a different beast entirely.

    Not a huge fan of the looks of that one but I have a Thunderbird on the way thanks to your review of it. I love the other two knives I’ve received from them. They’re a class above most budget Knife brands out there IMO
