I love capcut and my team has been editing videos for more than 10 years! No point in using Adobe products if it's just for social media and YT. I was primarily a stills shooter about a year ago but with Da Vinci and Capcut I've over 200 videos already.
@@BenClaremont my first edit in capcut, non 360, just 1080 footage , 11 minutes of edited footage and it took quite a long time to export. Can you list best settings in comment?
Thank you Ben for another great video! You bring up a question I'd love to see a workflow video on. I'm trying to build a TH-cam friendly 5.7k 360 VR video where the user can either follow along the predetermined view or pan around on their own. I'm on a PC and have managed to create a very chunky and blurry video using 360 Studio > Davinci Resolve Studio > Spatial Media Metadata Injector.
Hi Ben. Thanks a lot for all your knowledge sharing. I have a question, please. How to export a 360 video of a few 360 videos combined in the Project, please? 360 out option seems to be only available in Media, but not in Project.
Thanks for the informational video. When I got your email regarding you new capcut master class, the first question that came to mind was dies it include 360 video export. Based on the info here, I assume no. Why not capcut pro for 360 export? Is it still limited to 4K?
No worries- yes unfortunately it’s limited to 4K and doesn’t have 360 friendly plugins for adding text that doesn’t look warped in VR. This workflow is only for reframed 360 videos 👍🏻
Great Video Ben, do you know an AI program to "Auto Reframe" 360 videos? I want to reframe my travel videos but editing manual choosing keyframes it´s boring... In past i knew magisto that do a really good job choosing the best moments, but just for 2D videos
I love your channel but I have to ask you a question. I was watching a video from Iphondo about how Insta360 was asking it creators NOT to mention their sponsorship for video content (which I believe is Illegal). My question is that something they ever asked you to do ???
Hey- yeah I saw his vid and also commented on it. While I’m pretty sure they haven’t asked me that, they HAVE tried to be very controlling about the way I make my videos (sponsored or not) over the years. Sometimes it’s helpful as I do make honest mistakes (like getting specs wrong), and other times it’s them trying to control my opinion and tell me to ‘genuinely recommend the product’ as if I were a member of their marketing team. I push back on them HARD for this and flat out refuse, as my reputation is more important to me than my relationship with them.
thanks mate, just wondering if you can do a tutorial of how to reframe 360 videos with studio 360, give a bit of a rundown how to use the program and its features
Personally I would have to be very keen on Capcut's bells and whistles to use it in this scenario, as double rendering goes against the grain for me in principle. Studio 5 at last gives us a means of doing single pass editing of multiple reframed clips for free. And Capcut requires the video to be less than 15 minutes (but maybe my videos should be constrained to that length anyway...)
Hi Peter, actually the 15 minute limit is only in a few select countries it seems. Insta360 Studio is fine for the most basic edits- but I personally would not use it as my main editor in its current state.
Have you had any issues importing .MOV and .MP4 files to the same project? Capcut is not recognizing my exported .mp4 from insta360 studio. Any help would be appreciated.
But can Capcut export true 360 video where the viewer can scroll around the video, seeing the entire 360 view? This is just a flat video derived from a 360 camera, yes?
@@BenClaremont Thanks for the reply! I spent all day looking for a work around but to no avail. I am trying to find a free way to do this for teachers to use in their classes. (I work at a University researching technology in education. And don't teachers spend enough of their own money?) All the best. Great work on the videos!
Ben I have video where the camera malfunctioned and reduced frame rate from 30 fps to 20 fps. Can I import video and change the frame rate in CapCut (or DaVinci Resolve) and correct the problem?
The only caveat here is that this is a Chinese product, just like Insta360. But I guess it doesn't really matter. Napoleon's armies marched on British leather!
The Title is misleading! You are not editing a 360 video but the reframed version of it. Basically a regular 4K video.
Exactly waste of my time to promote cap cut and thingy 2 things that have a referral and partner program hmmmm surprising
Exactly same thought.. Why need to be 'For Free"......
Great tip on workflow and a different editor. Gonna check this out.

thanks for this quick tutorial, lots more features than doing the final editing in imovie. Your style of calm speaking is great in your videos
Glad you liked it 😀

I used the web version from time to time as they don't have a Linux version.
It's quite good.
Nice 👍🏻
Thank you. And although I usually use Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing, I would be interested to hear your tips and tricks.

Glad to hear that!
Very nice and informative video Ben. I have Insta 360 x3, this will help me a lot...
Thanks Ben, as always very informative video 👍👍👍
HI. I like to know after editing the video can we export it in 360 video format.
Thanks Ben. Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
Congratulations on the video. A question. How did you make the location and temperature markings? Thank you very much
In the effects menu

I have the same problem, did you find a good free option?
Why does your Insta360 version at 0:23 have advanced clip editing? Is this a MacOS version only?
BTW, how are you making your mouse cursor bigger and pop out?
start>mouse properties>pointers
I use screenflow and it's a feature of that :D
Great video
So i have the problem that Capcut does not support the INSV files coming from my cam. How can i fix this?
Thanks- although you are not following the workflow I showed in this video. You must stitch your shots in Insta360 Studio as the first step.
I bought your cap cut tutorial today. Now need to find tbe time to watch it
Woohoo 🥳
Hey Ben, what causes axis rotation of video? No camera position change at all and previous footage is level and pointed in ‘aimed’ direction.
Multiple videos 360 in one project. Can we export the project in 360 or only as a flat file? Thank you Ben
Hey- as mentioned this workflow is only for reframed videos.

This was perfect. One thing, being capcut free, when you export does it come with a watermark?
No watermark
Very good!
What is the best external microphone compatible with Insta 360 X3?

Nice video! the 8K video is really good but useless because you can not export 8k video to your studio or youtube.
is 8K on a 360 angle, not one video 8K. Final video is approx 4K.
Great video and tuto , as always 🙏🙏💪
Forgot to ask do you have a video explaining how to reframe?
Yep, plenty.
Ben, what about to edit a 360 vídeo aa a resolt and nit 16:9 format? What I have to use? Free opcions? Thanks
Insta360 Studio
Have you had any issues importing .MOV and .MP4 files to the same project? Capcut is not recognizing my exported .mp4 from insta360 studio. Any help would be appreciated.
Hmm, I haven’t had that issue personally. Maybe try exporting all as mp4 files as that will definitely work
But can Capcut export true 360 video where the viewer can scroll around the video, seeing the entire 360 view? This is just a flat video derived from a 360 camera, yes?
While CapCut can export the 2:1 aspect ratio, it’s limited to 4K and will need metadata reinjected after export. So no, I don’t recommend it for that.

Yes- it just won’t change the ‘look’ of the original footage.
Is there anyway to fix this?
@@renetoy44 change your project settings to 30fps by clicking ‘modify’
Great channel to learn.
I’m having an issue where when I export the reframed videos from insta studio, the audio and clip doesn’t match when i add as a project on capcut :(
Do you mean the audio is out of sync? That’s very easy to adjust in CapCut by unlinking, moving the audio, then relinking.
Misleading title 😢
How? It literally shows you how to edit Insta360 videos for free.
I can't insert an Insta 360 video into Capcut, Capcut can't find the video. why?
Either you didn’t stitch your footage or you moved the file location after originally importing it.
how do you add music to a 360 video and not a flat video?
The exact same way
@@BenClaremont no you can't there is no add music option when in 360 mode only in project mode and that's no longer a 360 video.

Never heard of it.
