    As an INFP, I wasn't sure what Si was until you said "Here are some very specific details about the thing I just remembered"

      Yes, I hate when this happens. I'll have an interaction with someone out in public. and then think about every single detail what I said and what they said on repeat non-stop and analyze what I did wrong/ said wrong.

      @@adrienne9757 I do the same. I just went to a big event and I’ve spent the past 3 days analyzing every interaction I had with about 100 people and critiquing my behavior and analyzing the conversations over and over and over … I can remember everything strangers say to me but I can’t remember school enough to take an exam. 🙄

I get you man, I get stuck in thinking about "I wish I could live in last year/couple years ago, when things were not this rough" it is pretty unhealthy, but we cant help it, all we can do is make our present life more acceptable so that we dont feel the need dissociate and daydream that much

    Love this and it’s a great and quick illustration of how our minds work.
    Jung said Fi is the least understood of all the functions and subsequent studies and writings on MBTI further shows this as it seems everybody has a hard time articulating the depth and actual power of Fi.
    As an INFP, the way I see from reading various sources and comparing it to my own experiences, is that Fi is an analytical function that is countered by Te inferior to keep it grounded in the observational world and with external objective data points (and keep it productive… somewhat as other types may not see our productivity in the way we do), so it can be quite logical and grounded in rationality.
    Further, our Ne is what makes us intellectually curious to continue reading and researching and gathering “facts” which then parents our Fi to challenge our judgments and question what we feel with what we externally gather (also feeding our Te) while allowing us to see different arguments, angles, and ways around problems or assumptions about what can be done. Our Si controls our Ne by making sure we keep doing familiar enjoyable things to keep us safe and satisfied.
    That’s why I always say that it is important that we INFPs push ourselves (within reason) to do things to gain more experience and “data” so our Te can feed our Fi to better analyze our values and judgments much more thoroughly and with conscientiousness.
    Our Fi is our gut feeling and instincts and it’s our survival skill. It also gives people who produce just to produce context to what they’re doing and keeps them in check and in touch with their humanity.
    All of our functions working the way it does in our stacks is why we have foresight to see what will happen that will confuse people who think certain chain reactions don’t make sense or wasn’t predicted… we saw it coming… but of course we also saw like 10 other things coming that didn’t come, but that’s another topic 😂. Expanding our experiences to develop our Si and Te will feed our Ne and Fi so we’ll be even better at knowing likelier outcomes while still having that open mindedness to not be so frustrated and crippled with bitterness when people act like people and not robots using logical algorithms.

    • @letsreadtextbook1687
      @letsreadtextbook1687 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why would it difficult to explain? It's simply how we personally feel about things, depth and details vary between people because well it's personal

    • @kimmieutsunomiya1457
      @kimmieutsunomiya1457 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      That makes sense. I hate how some ppl say “oh feelers aren’t logical” when Fi is actually a pretty logical function. You need to consider logic when answering deep questions like “what do I want to be” and “is this who I am”. Most ppl don’t have a single clue how to go about answering these questions which is evident by the sheer amount of self help gurus and influencers that exist today. So Fi being the least understood cognitive function from a practical standpoint makes sense

    • @adrienne9757
      @adrienne9757 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Wow! You should definitely start a channel or write some articles. This is the best explanation that I have heard/read, to understand my cognitive functions. By far the best explanation. Thank you so much! I would definitely love to hear your analysis on the rest of the mbti personalities. I loved hearing about each function fi, ne, si te, and how they all compliment each other from a fellow infp's perspective❣️

    • @Izabela-ek5nh
      @Izabela-ek5nh 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can be ambivert. On a scale 1-100% in a test when 1 is I and 100 is E I was around 40 so more I than E but not very much and this area is more like ambivert. I identify a lot with ENFP behaviours sometimes (INFP most of the time, let's say, and ENFP only in very very safe space, with the right people I trust so almost never). You might be also around the middle being an ambivert. Just guessing.

    • @crystalemullen
      @crystalemullen 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Izabela-ek5nh What makes me occasionally wonder if I am an introvert is not so much my behavior for my safe spaces. It's more how much I enjoy being by myself as well as I enjoy being with other people. But being alone does not recharge me te way I hear that introverts are recharged when alone. Truth be told, I actually come more alive when around other people regardless of who they are than I do by myself, but I don't get drained by my own company so that can sound like an ambient route. But I think it's definitely more of an extrovert who understands and appreciates that introverted side of me. Hope that makes sense.

    • @Izabela-ek5nh
      @Izabela-ek5nh 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@crystalemullen ambivert is something in between. :) so maybe this is your case. Introverts prefer being alone or with very close safe friends. Extroverts can chat with anyone and are always open to meet new people and have no fear of phone calls in general :)

    • @crystalemullen
      @crystalemullen 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @Izabela-ek5nh oh, I am definitely an extrovert then. I LOVE phone calls! I actually prefer it to texting. And I can pretty much talk to anyone and everyone I see. I also thoroughly enjoy my own company as well. But then, we all have introversion and extroversion in us. Without introversion, we couldn't know our own souls. Without extroversion, we couldn't function in the world outside ourselves. Still, at the end of the day, I'm far more an extrovert than an introvert.

    Usually i just don't know what i'm feeling about things. But when it comes hardship, then i consult to my Fi. This is the single biggest reason i'm an intp, not an infp.
