And then the person trying to tie their shoe is also an INFP so your presence near them instantly makes the them panic and forget how to do it so they fumble for 5 minutes and feel bad for making you wait and then you feel bad for making them nervous and then they feel bad for making you feel bad and you are stuck in an INFP holding pattern for eternity

I can't even explain how this video accurately describes my entire life in 10:47 minutes. It's always a pain to try to explain to other people about my music tastes. Especially the scene about the surgery. Was in the hospital visiting family and every time they ask me to go get the nurse I always say 'Sorry to bother you'. I swear it's my most used phrase whenever I talk with strangers
The "broke down car" part is so good it made me wheezed. Also, on the topic of music, there's a popular Tumblr post that could describe it well: "So what type of music do you listen to?" "Whatever music that triggers a daydream."
1. Imaginary talkshows for emotional venting 2. Reading one sentence countless times 3. Loving the whole spectrum of music styles (except the most cringy ones) 4. Racing mind during "chill time" This is basically me in 4 points.
Very extreme. I admit, in younger years I had many of these issues. Advice from an older INFP to a younger one. Keep moving forward, you have great strengths, use them! You'll recognize your weaknesses and can easily overcome them!
INFPs seem to age gracefully. We go from being perceived as naive to being perceived as wise. Other people who seem to have their acts together, because they spent their youths keeping up with the Joneses, age into people who seem unevolved.
Yeah, be so self critical can be rough in early life. But it also make us overcome things in a more healthy way than most people. I guess... Really hope so... Hehehe😄

I don't think that has to do with being an INFP. I am into lyrics. Although there are songs that are not meaningful at all but the instruments and music get me. I love a good lyric and the story behind the lyric.
I've noticed that I do prefer music without lyrics as well, but then again I do like lyrics sometimes. I think it's just that I like it better when the lyrics feel like they have some sort of meaning, and most songs don't feel that way to me. And a lot of songs have meanings that I'm not able to relate to very well so I end up not really liking the song, but I'll like the instrumental. There are so many songs that I like the sound of, but I'm not really a fan of the lyrics. I think that's why I tend to like fandom songs more often than regular music, because they will almost always have a story to tell that you can understand idk if I'm making any sense though lol

“The only thing they don’t really care about are themselves.” Realizing that you're never going to have anything that you want in life makes this a necessity.
I have a vivid childhood memory where this one time I got lost on a trip with my mom and her stepmom and her dad and my brother. We were at some state park with lush pine forests, hills and a lake. I was maybe 7 or something. I remember being alone in the woods when it started to rain peacefully and I was just admiring the beauty. I had that feeling that I should probably head to the cars though, cause it might be time to leave soon or eat or something. So I walked toward the cars and shelter area and heard my name being called over a loud speaker. When I got to the shelter my family was there and my mom was hysterical, frantic, grabbed me and was crying and saying “please never do that again”. I was so confused because it had been one of my favorite days and to know it was her worst day still stuns me to this day. She’s and EN/SFJ and big time group person. I’m sure it was hard for her as I was growing up to keep an eye on me and not worry when I felt like wandering off, which was all the time. 😅 One of the things that still sticks out to me today is how she always used to tell me’ “stay with the group” when we went places and I still cringe when I hear those words because I hate staying with a group or doing what everyone else is doing.
Benjamin, Benjamin, Benjamin....once again you have exposed us to the world for not being normal. But honestly, you're not wrong about any of it. To anyone watching this hoping to better understand the infp in their life, you should notice how many times normal people are "very efficient" and how infps are not. Be patient with us. Things operate in an entirely different way in our worlds. Thanks for the fun infp video! (And yes...I always question my comments 🤣)
Thanks for the comment 😄 I was trying to be a bit sarcastic about "Efficiency" and imply that it's not necessarily the best quality to have 😄 INFPs have plenty more fun qualities 😄
@@BenjaminSpicy haha I guess you are right. I hadn't thought about it like that.
@@lilgorgo Noooo....not like thissss...😅 I feel like after a little while, I'd work up the courage to ask them if they'd like me to help them, but I'd be really subtle about it, because I'd be trying not to embarrass them...🥺
How can someone not wait?
Bruh not even just tying shoelaces- every other scenario that involves waiting- Istg feels like no one waits for me or anyone else. But maybe I’m just slow bc in most situations I’m the one ppl have to wait for 😭 feels bad man
This was painfully accurate. Absolutely loved "they want someone they can share their lives with but also someone who will leave them alone most of the time" LMAO 🤣
I don't know why i'm laughing the whole time. This is so damn accurate
Actually most people can't take criticism while INFP naturally criticizes themselves
I can't take criticism but then seconds later I literally insult myself in some way lmao
Yes! But I really can not let other people critize me as well. That draws a line! Like I have already done perfectly capable job at that!!! I have critized the hell out of myself...how dare they critize me of not doing a good job of critizing myself in my head already!!! So rude!!! 😅
@@SatumainenOlento The spiraling is real!

my daily 5 second dose of human interaction
Out of human interaction for the week already?!
Thanks for those 5 seconds ! It cost you a lot.
Damn that's a lot of seconds, it's over double of 2
Liking it was mine. Thank you for opening that door friend! 😆
it might sound depressing to be an infp from the outside point of view but my days are actually very colorful and beautiful because of my wild maladaptive daydreaming, i don't think i can live without it.
i'm still depressed tho but not for that reason
Or the fact that you can stay in one place for hours and not get bored because of your inner world, i think we been so depressed for so long, that does not bother us anymore, because our imagination keep us going.
🤗🤗🤗
Its a reliable coping technique
Lmao this, my imagination is amazing thank you
I can't even explain how this video accurately describes my entire life in 10:47 minutes. It's always a pain to try to explain to other people about my music tastes. Especially the scene about the surgery. Was in the hospital visiting family and every time they ask me to go get the nurse I always say 'Sorry to bother you'. I swear it's my most used phrase whenever I talk with strangers
Other people don't say that do they?
The "broke down car" part is so good it made me wheezed.
Also, on the topic of music, there's a popular Tumblr post that could describe it well:
"So what type of music do you listen to?"
"Whatever music that triggers a daydream."
1. Imaginary talkshows for emotional venting
2. Reading one sentence countless times
3. Loving the whole spectrum of music styles (except the most cringy ones)
4. Racing mind during "chill time"
This is basically me in 4 points.
Me either 😂
Me too😂😂
What is a cringy music style?
Very extreme. I admit, in younger years I had many of these issues. Advice from an older INFP to a younger one. Keep moving forward, you have great strengths, use them! You'll recognize your weaknesses and can easily overcome them!
INFPs seem to age gracefully. We go from being perceived as naive to being perceived as wise. Other people who seem to have their acts together, because they spent their youths keeping up with the Joneses, age into people who seem unevolved.
Thank you both😇
I'm very depressed I hate my situation in the world of "one size fits all" 😔
Yeah, be so self critical can be rough in early life. But it also make us overcome things in a more healthy way than most people. I guess... Really hope so... Hehehe😄
Issues? How are these issues? As I've grown older I accepted that's just how I am.
INFP:
Task: Read a sentence in a book. "John rode a bicycle home."
INFP: John rode a bicy... but why? Hmm, who is John anyway? Hmm, could I relate to John in any way. I too did rode a bicy- wait, I'm supposed to read! John.... (sigh) again.... John rode a bicycle home. There, got it. Hmm, I wonder how his house looks. Wait, home can have different meanings. It could be a flat. Or a different planet. Wait wtf no this is a realistic story. *Wait, what was I reading again?!*
Hahaha this is SO accurate!
This is me all the time
you forget about imaging yourself as John and how he feels about it, and how he is not aware of his reality and everything he is not awara nad tjings that they can think in that moment or even before

The relaxing part in 8:20 is so accurate. I often times think about wanting to have an "off" switch for my brain because it runs 1000 miles/min, even when I try to rest or sleep.
I often say I need a vacation from my brain. I've yet to figure out how to do that. ☹
I can't express how good I feel about seeing people who are like me and a video that 100 percent resonates with me. Thank you.
Oh my goodness, I thought I was the only one who made up an entire talkshow scenario in my head where I'm talking about my feelings and the seven "made up" divorces I've gone through 😳
Its common for INFPs to talk to themselves.
@@angelicatrino2498 true
For me I imagine a scenario where there are 2 of me and then one of me feels so bad that she messed up and has turned into this evil character that is just destroying everything, and the other one is like trying to stop this evil character and telling her its ok to mess up. So yea

Ikr
Anyone else find they prefer music with no one singing? I feel more alone if it's just instrumental which is what I want 😆
Ikr! Instrumentals are more soothing. Even in a normal song a lot of times I just directly skip to the guitar solos and then I'm kinda done with it.
I think that's why I tend to like fandom songs more often than regular music, because they will almost always have a story to tell that you can understand
idk if I'm making any sense though lol
Lyrics or no lyrics, either one is fine to me
I like lyrics that I relate to. Music that makes me want to dance and instrumental that I can feel the emotion in it.
I don’t think I have ever related more to a video in my entire life 😂 Literally every single point is something I’ve experienced. I can’t believe this video knows me more than any friend I’ve ever had, it’s actually insane how accurate this is
The many long comments I have deleted.....how did you know? All the types of music I like....I didn't realize it's because I'm INFP, but that makes sense. This video was so spot on in so many ways!!!!!!!!!!
Benjamin, Benjamin, Benjamin - you've done it again! I can relate to everything you say in your videos, and I love how you make me laugh at myself. Yes, I'm an INFP, and I laugh! Is that wrong?
nope, I do too.
You laughed?!?!? You should be ashamed!!!!
Was that helpful?
@@mimi1girl2dempsey3 Yes, I laughed. Not only am I feeling a great deal of remorse and regret over this, but I am also abashed, mortified, and humiliated. I've been wringing my hands since I posted that I laughed, and have not been able to sleep since. Never again will I even crack a smile. Actually, if I didn't laugh at things, I'd be in tears a lot more often. However, I will try to limit my laughter as it goes against the dark nature of being an INFP. 😂

“The only thing they don’t really care about are themselves.”
Realizing that you're never going to have anything that you want in life makes this a necessity.
Nah because going on a walk and looking at the sky really is my elite form of therapy 💀
I love getting lost though, it's so peaceful
Efficient means getting from point A to point B as quickly as possible so if life's about the journey and not the destination, then we're basically taking the scenic route. I guess that's not a bad thing (until I get distracted from the dishes to learn Morse code. True story.)
Your content does not resonate with me for the most part despite being definitively INFP. Possibly because I practice getting out of my comfort zone every single day.

The talkshow part really got me. Last night I spoke to my mirror as if I was giving an interview about my life.
6:45 This one is a true struggle for me. I'll spend most of the time trying to think of how I should what I want to say, write out a giant mess, try to reorganize it, slim it down to something reasonable, then be like "nah". My mind will also wander and I will constantly have to try to refocus. Sometimes I'll even get up and pace around a few times in the process.
😅😅😅
To be honest, I always thought everybody was like this and we're just pretending to be "normal". Lol
after realizing im an infp... ive always wondered what it would be like without my head racing... is it like... total silence? anyways this question has had my head racing for a while can anyone blow it off?
It's empty... Idk why I've reached the point where my mind stopped racing but it feels quite lonely... Everything feels and seems blank... Nothing really attract you anymore
Bruh, it's cool to think that much about good stuff, but sometimes when something bad enters my mind(I start thinking about it) and I think how to not think about, ending up thinking more about it, that hurts;( + The only time I'm not thinking is when I sleep(not counting dreams)
