One of the downfalls of liking classical music is forgetting the name of a piece and not being able to look it up because it doesn't have lyrics.
True and I'm just listener that can't remember those long name of piece
I have almost the same problem with progressive music, because I tend to remember melodies, and forget the lyrics.

Please react to metal, too, next time. Metal guitarists who do classical are divine.
Yeah, Yngwie Malmsteen is a great example. Neoclassical Metal.
I agree with you. Some guitar heroes need to be heard (and there are some titles in rock and metal music that "use" classical themes , for instance Jethro Tull, Bourée / Procol Harum, A Winter Shade of Pale).
Apart from metal guitarists, there are lots of metal bands, Nightwish (and similar) is related to classic, Accept (and similar) has all these "classical" soli etc. I would be curious to see them react to these bands!

You should do a video with metal. Here some suggestions: Symphony X: - The death of Balance (Mozart requiem in D), A fool's Paradise (Bach concerto for harpsichord). This band actually has a lot of references to classical pieces in their songs, but these are the most recognizable.
Angra - Angels Cry (Paganini 24 in the solo).
In general metal bands don't use actual classical pieces in their songs but compose their music based on classical music inspiration, which I personally value more. If you are into metal and classical, I recommend you the bands Angra (with Andre Matos), Symphony X, Rhapsody of Fire, Dream Theater, Epica, Nightwish...
Edited: Here I add bands I forgot that people mentioned in the comments and can't be out of the list: Yngwie Malmsteen, Stratovarius, Fleshgod Apocalypse
Oh, there'd be so many great songs for this!

Metal Heart by Accept th-cam.com/video/NZow71V5rbk/w-d-xo.html (I don't personally like this song, but I think it kind of deserves to be here, what with using not one but two classical pieces)
Basically anything by Apocalyptica - not for using classical pieces in the music, but for playing metal with cellos. I really like their newest album, e.g. Rise: th-cam.com/video/TMjWkDBLXxA/w-d-xo.html Or then symphonic metal, like e.g. Nightwish. They have an amazing singer, but I also really like the instrumental pieces too, like the entire "All the Works of Nature Which Adorn the World." My favorite part of that is probably Anthropocene although it is quite short: th-cam.com/video/Gx-BnTqGq5Y/w-d-xo.html (And I got to mention Ghost Love Score, too, even though reacting to it would be far from original - I think like half of youtube has done that so far. But that one's so popular for a good reason.)

@@miajc6606 I'm not as knowledgeable as most of Twoset's audience (I am in no way a musician) when it comes to classical music, but I found it for you two! It's Gayaneh-Suite: Sabre dance by Aram Khachaturian.
@@seoyer2246 Thanks! :D
Thank you.🎼🙆💕
by the way for the comment section: not all kpop stans are crazy and attack everyone that says something about our idols, some of us are actually chill (coming from a someone who likes both kpop and twoset)
As a chill Brony(and kpop fan as well). I second this. To relax/chillax and enjoy. It's only fair. Good comment.
Also, love for "Hey Arnold". Love the prof' pic. :)
thank you :)
Back in 2015, BTS released a short film called Prologue. When it starts, you can hear the beginning of Debussy's Claire de Lune, but it suddenly changes to the extended version of the later released song called Butterfly. They got inspired by Clair de Lune to make Butterfly, because it has almost the same chords, another melody, you can feel the unavoidable nostalgia, but it feels way more.. ethereal I guess?? You guys should check that out ✨
Bonus: I'm here for over a year and all I have to say is a big thank you. Last year, I used to watch your videos every day I came home from college, and even I watched them to stop thinking about the horrible moments I was living back then. You helped me get through my negative thoughts with strenght. Even now, you guys help me get on track and forget negative things, all because you're so inspiring, you both irridiate that kind of possitive and hopeful aura and that made me rise my positive side and archieve some nice things ✨ Thank you so much, I love you💜💜💜
Pd: If heaven exists, you guys deserve to be drinking bubble tea next to Tchaikovsky and Paganini for sure 💖
so that's why butterfly was so familiar to me when i listened to it the first time ! they really like to use clair de lune,i wonder if there's a reason for that ^^"
And a new song came out "Feel My Rhythm" which samples Bach's Air on G String
yes! i was gonna comment this haha
“Don’t come at Jimin like that”
Words of wisdom, my friend. Words of wisdom.
0:55 The song's title is T.O.P. and it was originally by Shinhwa, an OG K-pop group. On a show called "Road to Kingdom", the idol group Golden Child covered it.
Edit: OMG Thank you for the likes!!!

The first song be like:
*PLAY TCHAIKOVSKY IN THE WRONG KEY*
It was actually a cover of Shinhwa’s -T.O.P. For Road to Kingdom. The first and second songs they played are the same song. Golden Child just were more inspired by Swan Lake, and were expected to make changes to suit there own style. 🙂
@@itakecookie It's a reference from the roast symphony 😌😳

The one of golden child (first one) it was actually done in a competition and they mixed the original kpop song with the classical one. Later in the performance (or in another one, i don’t remember), joochan (a member) actually plays violin
2:19 "IT'S OK-POP ha get it" is something wrong with Editor-san?
I mean.. many Road to Kingdom had classical music well incorporated:
the boyz - Shangri-la with the Moonlight Sonata here and there while dancing
Yesssss! I love all the road to kingdom performances and many of them add some classical music or string instruments at the least. Wannabe even had an orchestra playing in the background, meanwhile ONF had a cult scene and a dance depicting conducting and violin playing while having string instruments in their song. XD
(Because of this video, I have gone on yet another road to kingdom binge watch.)
RTK involves a lot of classical music, maybe they should do a separate video for that?
Also it's quite interesting how The Boyz sampled moonlight sonata for Quasi una Fantasia (yes I prefer to keep Shangri-La a separate work), while VIXX has sampled moonlight sonata in Fantasy
@@chocochino Yes, that's true! Also, I really just want them to react to RTK. I love those performances so much that I want practically everyone to see them. XD
@@chocochino Aahh true true, and of all the work the group did my faves were Quasi una Fantasia and Be mine but dang they were intense in their concept it was nice AF
Road to kingdom is indeed a masterpiece itself 😔🙏
As a kpop and a twoset fan, this video was a literal gem for me. It actually made me laugh a lot. And no we aren’t gonna “bEaT yOu uP” or anything like that.

_i am a kpop fan, but that für elise autotuned intro cracked me up._
On the show Road to Kingdom, the K-pop group Golden Child covered a song called WANNABE, which samples Paganini 24 Caprices No. 24 in A Minor Op. 1. One of the members even briefly performs with his violin.

You should listen to the orchestra version of Shinee Jonghyuns “End of Day” !! They merged it with Clair De Lune for the intro
Yeeessss
about lie: actually isn't that people were just saying that is inspired by la vida breve, i mean it is in the credits of the wings album. but good video!
It might also be in the credits because they noticed later that it sounded similar. To not get in trouble with the composer and out of respect for them they give credit.
@@mikanchan322 not really actually ! im not sure if youre a kpop stan or not but most of the time (and in this specific case) songs in kpop dont come out until the physical album comes out and is for sale. so when lie by jimin of bts was released, the physical album (along with the credits which are printed inside of the physical albums photo book) already contained the credits to la vida breve. just letting you know :)
@@mikanchan322 when the album came out the credits came (along with the songs that are under the WINGS Album) with it so the credit for La Vida Breve is already there so they don't have to add it later on.
I love how you guys always manage to put in a member of BTS (usually Jimin) in thumbnail every time you guys cover KPOP. It pleases me as a member in both fandoms lmao.
I was expecting Road to kingdom inspired by Paganini or FtIsland inspired by Vivaldi to be here
What is that FT Island song?
Yeah, me tooo :') But Im glas they did Swan Lake

The chorus of Girls’ Generation’s Into the New World has a variation of Dvorak’s New World Symphony in it.
Oooh I remember this from reacttothek
Also Girls' Generation Sweet talking baby (b-side track in their 2nd Album 'Oh!')
its the verse isnt it? like literally the 1st 2 lines of the verses
lol HOW have yall NOT done a video on the Black Swan Art Film with the string orchestra version of the song?! Eddy, being the closet ARMY that he is, HAS to have listened to that. It's just such a beautiful arrangement (& dare I say the best classical influence on a 'pop' song I've ever heard) & the players who recorded that version are SOOOOO GOOOD. It's become my favourite BTS song because of how amazing that string orchestra version is. There's so many techniques showcased in the recording & the musicality of the players ahhhhhhhh. It's been 8 months & I'm still not over it. I go crazy every time I listen to that version of Black Swan cuz those string players? Legendary! That orchestral version is so difficult that no one on YT has been able to cover it perfectly. Only professionals can do it cuz that score is HARD. I need TwoSet to do a breakdown of the techniques in that version of Black Swan & talk about how its 'freestyle'-esque playing illustrates the story they were trying to tell SO FREAKING WELL. I can legit go on & on about this song omg.
Ugh, we need more pop musicians appreciating classical music & art like BTS. Everything is so basic these days & BTS the only big & mainstream musician out here dedicating whole albums & exhibitions to art. We NEED to bridge the gap between pop music & classical music. Most efforts I see are surface-level. They sample something classical or get influenced by it, but they don't get deep into the lore & story of the influence, which is really sad. But then again, most pop musicians dunno shit about classical music so I dunno why I have such high expectations lol.
I agree completely💜
Yup
so true that piece changed my life it's so powerful
Here’s the time stamp of editor-san outsmarting TwoSetViolin so you guys can see it on repeat: (8:34)
Twoset pls review Golden Child (the first group in this video)’s stage of Wannabe in Road to Kingdom, they added sampled Paganini 24 into the song, even had live violin playing by the member (Joochan)!!!!
If you watch twoset roast videos, you can really tell that was not live violin playing. Even his violin didnt have mic attach to it, it was classical violin. It was pre recorded and yes, it was probably his recording since his left hand,at a glance, was correct.
@@charliec244 that's true they're gonna roast but also be amazed by it
Omg yes i was looking for a comment like this!! I thought they would review joochan's playing since they reviewed T.O.P. but i was sad they didn't :( TWOSET PLEASE REVIEW HIS EFFORT BECAUSE HE REALLY PRACTICED PLAYING IT BEHIND THE SCENES
@@charliec244 Unfortunately, I looked at Joochan's practice videos and I don't think he recorded it. To me, there looks to be a gap of several years of dedicated practice to get to the level of the recording. Don't get me wrong, it'd be great if he actually recorded it but the violin sounds very different and things that you can't improve quickly, like vibrato control, aren't apparent in his practice.
Hey twoset, it would be interesting to do the same thing with video game music. I am pretty sure many video game music composers take inspiration from classical composers.
i would actually say that game composers take more inspiration from classical composers than contemporary classical composers do. (mostly romantic composers tho)
A.H A.H that’s not what I meant, I meant ost from a video game, not playing a music game. Sorry if I caused confusion
