    I am impressed that something that was made for the SNES sound chip can be reproduced in the NES sound chip. Well done!

    Well for all the pain, you've made something sound super clean and accurate so I'm glad you persevered! But also understand why you may never try it again haha, I've never ventured into the super advanced N163 stuff myself

    This is one of the most interesting songs ever, a vaporwave remix of a track that got remade to fit on an SNES, and then got covered again by you to fit onto an NES. Magical!

      Thank you, very much. Sadly, it doesn't seem to be able to export as a .nsf. you're making some cool stuff, too.

    look at all those instrument patches. holy crap XD ive never seen one with a slider bar lol. how did you not melt your brain making this!? very impressive!

      It's actually not as much, as it looks like. Almost all of the N163 instruments use max. 16 wavetables, when they could use 64, practically quadrupling the amount of N163 instruments. I did this, so it may be compatible with older versions. Sadly, this doesn't really seem to export into .nsf, because of too large Instrument data. Thank you, though :D.

      @@cemstrumental i see well never the less it still sounds good :P sounds identical to the original beside the compression. :P not something id expect from audio chips designed for the nes lol. there only one other song i can think of that pulls a similar quality and thats the vrc7 version of draft punk voyager.

    • @cemstrumental
      @cemstrumental  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It only works in FamiTracker though. It's probably possible on real hardware (assuming the bass is made with DPCM instead), but my knowledge and willingness to making NES music is limited to FamiTracker.

      Alright then. Here it isn't anymore: th-cam.com/video/F4qicK39ISc/w-d-xo.html But as I said in the description: since the samples Pitch envelope aren't perfectly at 60 Hz, the N163 samples are gonna sound more and more worse, the longer it plays.
      (Also it only sounds like this in 0CC Famitracker 0.3.15.1 or higher, I think)

    • @raxcl
      @raxcl 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cemstrumental well, recently made your project works, because with all my versions of FamiTracker doesn't work, so i used the Modified Famitracker, Dn-Famitracker 0.2.1.0, and now works good, maybe try to fix the 60Hz pitch envelope, for prevent crunchy sound or degradation, you understand me? sorry if i have bad grammar, but my english is very bad

    • @cemstrumental
      @cemstrumental  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@raxcl Yeah. I'm pretty sure your program has a slightly different clock, so the samples sound even worse there. But I'm not good in finding out perfect pitch envelopes. What I normally do is just let one specific pitch preset run, until the crackling goes away for a brief moment (when it goes for one full cycle, which mostly takes very long) and then I make a small change in the pitch (like add another 47 in the loop) and let it run again. If it takes longer for the samples to loop back to their clean state, it's bettter. But this is a long and tidious process and I'm done for this one for now. Sorry, but you gotta experiment with this one yourself.

      it can't be done because it uses 2 expansion chips, it's just not possible even on an emulator

    • @cemstrumental
      @cemstrumental  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@leothehuman_9476 Alternatively, you could just slap the bass on DPCM. It'd even be more accurate.
