- This was intense. The Omega Flowey fight without taking any damage.
To clarify:
The cut is at 5:58. The part that begins here is much harder than the 6 souls combined and doing the entire fight in one go requires an ungodly amount of luck.
I initially had 3 segments planned: Souls 1-3, 4-6 and the last phase. After 5 hours of attempting the last part and finally beating it, I had enough determination left to try all souls at once and it only took an hour or two.
Once you know how to dodge all the attacks it's just a matter of hoping no impossible situations show up. The final phase on the other hand is mostly RNG. Being few hits away from beating it was one of the most nervous I've ever been.
And yes, I got VERY close to messing up a few times and I can't believe I didn't get hit.

I like the part when flowey gets angry when you for some reason try to escape the "friendly" pellets
I really loved how fighting Flowey for the first time is meant to show the player what it feels like to no longer be the most Determined character in The Underground, but defeating him without taking damage is essentially playing the Uno reverse card and proving to Flowey that you're still, without a doubt, more Determined than him. Well done.
I’d argue it’s closer to asking Flowey if he’d wanna have a bad time.

Undertale feels so good after Yellow. We finally avenged Clover's sacrifice and brought Justice to the Underground. I can't even imagine how emotional this scene would be if the other souls got the Yellow treatment...

@@gboogie3257I think it's a flower, not a clover. Which is a reference to when flowers are shoved into weapons, which means peace, that is, an allegory for a gun to shoot beautiful flowers instead of bullets and decorate the area with their beauty.

rewatching this feels so nostalgic, i remember this is what introduced me not only to your channel but undertale too!!
ngl when I unintentionally got to this on my first playthrough I thought my file was really done for; after a few tries in which I completely died I was like “welp that’s the end I guess”
later that day I was showing my friend my save file and I decided to give it one more shot-in which I succeeded! I honestly never expected that there was actually hope for my file
with that all said, I completely thought this was an intentionally impossible battle that you were doomed to repeat to no avail, but the fact that someone actually did this WITHOUT GETTING HIT-I am extremely impressed. amazing work 👏🏼

Recording this must have been a nightmare, not just because the battle is hard and rng-based, but because you (probably) had to manage the save files everytime you lost. Congrats on beating it!

iirc only in a Pacifist run (not True Pacifist obviously) if you're at LOVE 1, you got to the end with the starting equipment (Stick and Bandage) and never changing it, and if you never used healing items

I feel like people don't appreciate how much effort was genuinely put into this fight compared to Pacifist and Genocide.

@@Jadez1207 well there are a lot of differences but some of the most are how different each are made while genocide and pacifist endings had a lot of effort put in them Flowey has a lot more "stuff" and mechanics to him
(example:if you die your game closes down and have to restart from the beginning of the fight, he saves and loads files making it hard to dodge attacks and keep track of where your soul is)
and unlike the rest of the game he wasn't made in pixel art instead Photoshop
Just in general Photoshop/Omega Flowey had a lot more differences in his mechanics in his fight than the rest of the game resulting in more effort put in to his fight

@@crusadername6977 me and my younger brother got all the way to Asgore, mind you we lost a multiple times against Papyrus, Undyne and the spider girl. Had to restart it because we couldn't get past the spider. (We restarted the game and bought the spider donut at the start of the game, passing the spider stage on our 2nd playthrough.) Now we got whooped more than 10 times against Asgore. Then we realise after all that gameplay, we didn't equip armour and weapons 😄, ended up beating the Pacifist route, first time in a while being tearful at a video game. 🙂 Very satisfying 😁

The Power of Google Images can't beat a single moving Red heart
Think about it: the game is entirely in pixel art, say for this one fight, which uses Jpegs. Now this is off putting to the player, for obvious reasons, but I think this does an amazing job at showing what an eldritch horror would look like in the characters point of view. It might look weird to us, but Frisk probably cannot comprehend what Flowey has become
