Made from maple, walnut, and wild cherry. Took me 10 hours to make.

I love the spiral or the grain in the second layer of wood

Watching your mastery of tools, combined with your artistic skill, is very satisfying. The interior finishing cut was perfect.
Your best idea yet. I have loved the big stuff, and the donut of course, but this in it's relative simplicity is more what wood turning means to me - sure you CAN do gozillion segment turnings, but this fusion of form and segmentation is far more exceptional. You have done way more with way less this time, and it is beautiful to behold.
