I just purchased the V8 Absolute from Walmart for $350 and I LOVE it!!! I’m so happy the new V8’s have the V12 attachments, so they feel modern and just as good. Thank you for your “how to clean” videos. I will be sure to follow them.
I have a small 1 bedroom house and the hand-me-down V8 I've been given has been a revolution compared to my Miele cx1 bagless. I fancy the V10, if the V8 fails, due to the bin size and the fact I can use my all my V8 accessories. The V12 bin seems very small and I don't need the detection tech but if my V8 lasts long enough, so that I could stretch my budget a bit further, I would get the V12 for the laser light, battery extending auto mode and everything else. Bin size would probably be OK for my home and needs. I only know this stuff after hearing it, in an easy to understand and remember way, from you. So thank you. I used to be sceptical about the power of these things but they make the job so much easier that I'll never go back to an upright or cylinder vacuum again.
I just found & subscribed to your channel… You are EXCEPTIONALLY clear in covering the Dyson models, Thank you! The V12 is perfect for me, but I would like your thoughts if its suction is too strong to use on shag carpets or curtains. ❤from Montreal
Very helpful. I tought of the V8 for my house, but the V10 should be the better choise. But I love the dust bin on the V8. Think it is better, cause you don't have to remove the pipe before empty it. Maybe what about V11? This has a removeable battery too like the v12. Maybe an option and it is not so loud as the V10 ...
The cyclones have to be disassembled and cleaned as well. I wash it, dry, and reassemble. Otherwise, fine debris compromises suction power and performance. Dyson of course won't tell you this because they want you to purchase their latest.
For anyone who want a deep cleaning on carpets, I say do not buy any of these as they do not clean carpets like a plug in upright vacuum cleaner does. If your home is just hard floor then these are fine.
The only downfall to Dyson is the longevity of the battery… No matter the version. They all work very well. I have a two-level home with zero carpets, a dog, two cats and I have no issues vacuuming quickly and efficiently everyday, but you will deal with a battery issue within 24 months of using the vacuum.
Right now I have a V10 in the basement and a V8 upstairs and I will say that both give me an average of maximum 20 minutes of battery life.. admittedly though I vacuum on max power. They do lose their efficiency with time and I’ve had both for two years now.
Is suction power of V8 enough for deep cleaning? My husband has dust allergy. We have 2 pets also. So i my first concern is suction power/cleaning performance. Is V8 enough for perfect deep cleaning?? V11 seems bit heavy. Now they have introduced 2 more models, V12 & V15. Can u please help me to choose the best.
I bought a dyson v8 absolute directly from dyson, and it came broken. The trigger is very flimsy and gets stuck on easily in addition to turning on randomly when it's shaked or bumped. I really did like the design ever so slightly better than the v12 until this issue. I sent the v8 back and got the v12. Way more power, slightly larger, and less bin capacity than the v8. For $500, the v8 trigger is built like a Nerf gun.
These things are expensive garbage. After owning a V8 and a V12, they both eventually ( within about a year) start to collect dust in the filter causing them to cycle on and off. The dust starts to pass the cracks in the vacuum and over time very fine particles of dust suck directly into the filter causing you to clean filters every use, so you will have to buy several filters so you can use it while the other filters dry out.

Why! Explain please.
You were very helpful in explaining the each Dyson version. Your video was very well done. Thank you!
You are so welcome! Glad it was helpful.
Great video, I've been so torn trying to figure out what model to grab. I think the V10 is perfect for my current and future needs! Thanks so much!

Excellent video, for me the V12 did it because of the lazer fluffy head was such an enhancement when cleaning hard floors.
Yes, such a great upgrade. I love using it.
I hope you guys find this video helpful. If you have any questions please let me know in the comments.
Thank you so much for this Rose

What do you suggest in that case? @blakaeg

And a very impressive Dyson colletion I must say.
Well done!
Thank you very much, John!
I am very conflicted, I should choose Dyson v12
hi, could someone tell me the voltages of the 6 contacts of the new battery measured with a tester, it would do me a great favor
How long is the battery life for V8?

The V8 will be fine for your needs.

Decision Decisions still deciding 😂

V12 the most prices but smallest bin. Make it make sense Dyson
if the bin is bigger, the V12 is the choice, but with this small one I think about V8 or V10/11 ...
