My Mom hid me from my bio father at a lady’s house whom at the time I had only met once before at 4 years old. Fast forward almost 44 years later and she is my Aunt Gale…my guardian angel who saved me!
As a mother it hurts me that this woman tried to protect her child and the system failed her. I can understand why some parents are willing to take the law into their own hands cause the system is very faulty when it comes to protecting children from predators.

My youngest came to me, while I was busy in the kitchen, and said "Mum there is a man talking to me on Facebook and it's really dirty. "What do I do" I was so grateful for her to come to me, AND I checked the history and what she was looking at before she used the computer. She got a friend request from a guy in the city we live in and she didn't look at who it was. I took over the chat and arranged a meet. The police did nothing, zero zilch. And Said... "Nothing we can do, take her off FB "And the meet? He won't type on either computer, laptop or phone or any tablet, anytime soon.
The sad part is that after all these years we are still up against this horror. Still to this day we are being denied protection for children. But if it was a stranger, they would be protected.
So physical evidence wasn’t enough??? They think the little did all of that to herself??? 😢 Shout out to the mom for her willingness to go to jail for the safety of her daughter. BRAVO mom. She did what was in the best interest of her child.

It’s exactly the same in the UK. The victims always suffer more in court. But at least in the US the prison sentences reflect the crime, ie life means life , unlike here where the sentences are ridiculous and insulting to victims of crime 😢

My granddaughter went through a terrible time. Not sexual abuse, but judge ordered joint custody. She was only 2 yr old. The dad had to take her from my daughter while she was crying and clinging to my daughter. As soon as my granddaughter turned 18 that was the end of the relationship. She's 21 and never sees or talks to my granddaughter. Never makes any contact to even see how she is. It's like once he didn't have to pay child support it was so long. It really got to me and I went into a clinical depression and had to go on medication. She's now 21 and getting ready to graduate with a BA in Forensics. She wants to go on to graduate school. But who can tell the emotional damage done. Many of these judges just dont even care!
Shocking! They just use their children as a weapon against their ex-wives. Its truly tragic. Heartless judges and social workers paint every mother trying to protect the children, as if they are using the children to punish their fathers. In fact, the mothers know exactly how bad the men are from personal experience. After divorce, they can't even be there to protect their children from abusive fathers. After not pitching up time and again to collect our little son for "his" weekends, leaving our child waiting at the front door, overnight bag in hand, he suddenly pitched up with some strange woman, announcing, "this is your new mother."

This is a good movie but also very upsetting. It's factual when it comes the protection of our precious children - Child Protective Services and the laws surrounding them are ridiculous. It makes you wonder who they're protecting, the child or the abuser.
It's not so much a wicked world as an imperfect world. In order to punish someone for a crime you need to have evidence that they are the ones responsible for that crime. The courts knew that the child was being sexually abused by someone but didn't have sufficient evidence to convict her father for the crime. For all they knew, it could have been anyone, who would have then told the girl to accuse her father of it to get them off the hook. There isn't an easy answer to mankind's problems sometimes. The solution that this mother came up with landed her in jail in the end, but I suppose she would have been happier in there knowing her daughter was safe.
To send a mother to jail, because of begging for protection for her small child... Some of these type judges probably are child molesters themselves? What is really scary, is the move towards legalising sexual relationships with children.

There's 2 judges in Alabama. Stowe who is likely dead by now and Reynolds who gave the daddy child molester custody of the 4 yr old son and have the mom supervised visitation . Pure evil. Doctor reports said his rectum was severely torn and psychiatrist said he draws very disturbing pictures ( flames , knives, blood) . That 4 yr old boy is a 39 year old man today with severe depression. And anxiety. Judge Stow especially is a scum bag for allowing that .
I felt every bit of this,the trauma humans like me and Mandy have to endure for almost eternity and the law is still asking to be obeyed where it's not working.
I went through something very similar. My child eventually committed suicide at 16. Safe now. I despise what the authorites and "child welfare" did to us. They fell for the psychopathic charms of the parent who did not care what was done to me or our child, as long as he had control. The authorities helped him every step of the way, denying my right and responsibility to protect my child.
This happend to me in the state of new york city.they said i told my kids what to say. I decided to break and violated the court order and moved my kids to alabama. It was to far for the father to have visitation and the judge here did not let him take my kids out of state. Moving away was the best desicion i made. My kids are grown adults now. They have no relationship with thier dad.

I remember seeing this in high school. Yet in 2022, it's still unfortunate the victim is often treated as the criminal and the sexual predator is protected and covered for. And in 2022, and in the 21st century unfortunately the predators often have the advantage of being able to track the location of the custodial parent through electronic devices and things like Google maps.

You may be right. It's much harder to stay incognito with all the tech available. Certainly the case where advances in technology mean anonymity is nearly impossible (i.e.: no more pay phones.) Going low tech or no tech is the only option now.
There is absolutely no way in hell I would hand my child over willingly to that man after seeing the way she behaved about having to go with him and listening to her story.. no matter what the courts said. I once worked for a school where a 4th-grade little girl attended, and she was pregnant by either her biological dad or brother. He gave me harmony! When I was a little girl of age, something bad was done to me, that caused so much damage, as that little girl's heart broke into sadness, by some adult's madness! The abuse gave me many years of agony, until I surrendered my life to the Lord, and found myself in harmony. Finally I understood that He always had loved me, and He had felt the pain I felt ; that made my heart melt. He helped me to forgive the abusers, as His love for me changed my heart for real, and He little by little the wounds would heal. Today, my heart aches for those who have gone through the same, and thought it was some adult's game. The fact that the father wanted to still have visitation even with how upset it made her should have been all the proof the court needed. A normal parent would not have insisted if it caused their child that much distress. They would have tried to work things out another way.

As one from the Criminal Justice Field, I will tell you. Any Parent that is Incarcerated, to protect their Childs Safety, is protected by the other Prison Inmates. Just as any Parent that injured a Child or their Child is not protected by other Prison Inmates.
Growing up i loved watching martial arts movies and movies about teenagers and kids and so on!! When i became a teenager i started to love court dramas...and films based on true events like this one, you can learn from them. Imagine if you're caught up in the same position but the system doesn't hear you out!!

My friend was raped by her father as a child and tortured .She is very messed up mentally and emotionally because of this. She has a heart of gold and is always looking out for others and helping those worse off😢 . It's heartbreaking what she's had to go through.

The saddest thing is what kind of idiot would believe a 5 yrs old would do it to herself, yes kids stick a crayon up there nose, they see a hole and why not, but I have never heard a 5 yes old sticking something big enough to stretch there hymen In a hole they don't see , and it would hurt. Akways adired my Daf. He was indeed a wonderful Dad. He never knew the wrath my mother had for me, he died when I was 15. I married and left home at 22. Finally freed. ❤
My mom taught in the inner city and had a few instances like this and just other things that went with teaching in those areas. She mostly taught special Ed thru her career. She taught at an elementary school and a few incidents she remembered was little girls (3 or 5th grade) some would come to school barely able to sit or it would hurt to. She'd send them to the school nurse and it would usually be mom's bf or partner just home from prison was messing with them,having sex with them while mom wasn't around . It was awful hearing it. Obviously dcfs would get involved and sometimes the kids aren't believed or the guy is a breadwinner so they guilt the kids into not telling family business or "exaggerating things" or worse blame the kid for "enticing " . They'd kick them out put on a show for the social workers but sneak them back around . It's a really sad situation
When my parents divorced, the judge awarded my mother full custody, with my father visitation maybe one weekend a month; it's been years since I've seen the court documents. My father pulled my mother aside and said, "We're the parents, we don't have to listen to the judge. We can just do whatever we want." She let him take us Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I love my dad, but he was abusive verbally and spiritually for a great many years, and gaslights me about it today. He would force me and my younger brother to walk three miles a day (sometimes twice) and would withhold food from the both of us. He literally told me at the age of eight or nine, "No man will ever want you if you don't lose some weight." He chose the high school I went to and, even after failing grades, bullying, no friends, and two suicide attempts, he refused to let me go to another school. That, ladies and gentleman, is what happens when you have a father who does whatever he wants, and a mother turns a blind eye to it.

Why do I feel SO MUCH rage towards that defense attorney? If I was that pediatric doctor on the stand I would've screamed at him, "What more proof do you need?! To catch him in the act?!" My granddaughter went through a terrible time. Not sexual abuse, but judge ordered joint custody. She was only 2 yr old. The dad had to take her from my daughter while she was crying and clinging to my daughter. As soon as my granddaughter turned 18 that was the end of the relationship. She's 21 and never sees or talks to my granddaughter. Never makes any contact to even see how she is. It's like once he didn't have to pay child support it was so long. It really got to me and I went into a clinical depression and had to go on medication. She's now 21 and getting ready to graduate with a BA in Forensics. She wants to go on to graduate school. But who can tell the emotional damage done. Many of these judges just dont even care!

Heartless judges and social workers paint every mother trying to protect the children, as if they are using the children to punish their fathers. In fact, the mothers know exactly how bad the men are from personal experience. After divorce, they can't even be there to protect their children from abusive fathers.

It's not so much a wicked world as an imperfect world. In order to punish someone for a crime you need to have evidence that they are the ones responsible for that crime. The courts knew that the child was being sexually abused by someone but didn't have sufficient evidence to convict her father for the crime. For all they knew, it could have been anyone, who would have then told the girl to accuse her father of it to get them off the hook. There isn't an easy answer to mankind's problems sometimes. The solution that this mother came up with landed her in jail in the end, but I suppose she would have been happier in there knowing her daughter was safe.

There's 2 judges in Alabama. Stowe who is likely dead by now and Reynolds who gave the daddy child molester custody of the 4 yr old son and have the mom supervised visitation . Pure evil. Doctor reports said his rectum was severely torn and psychiatrist said he draws very disturbing pictures ( flames , knives, blood) . That 4 yr old boy is a 39 year old man today with severe depression. And anxiety. Judge Stow especially is a scum bag for allowing that .
I felt every bit of this,the trauma humans like me and Mandy have to endure for almost eternity and the law is still asking to be obeyed where it's not working.

I went through something very similar. My child eventually committed suicide at 16. Safe now. I despise what the authorites and "child welfare" did to us. They fell for the psychopathic charms of the parent who did not care what was done to me or our child, as long as he had control. This happend to me in the state of new york city.they said i told my kids what to say. I decided to break and violated the court order and moved my kids to alabama. It was to far for the father to have visitation and the judge here did not let him take my kids out of state. Moving away was the best desicion i made. My kids are grown adults now. They have no relationship with thier dad.

When I was a little girl of age, something bad was done to me, that caused so much damage, as that little girl's heart broke into sadness, by some adult's madness!
The abuse gave me many years of agony, until I surrendered my life to the Lord, and found myself in harmony.
Finally I understood that He always had loved me, and He had felt the pain I felt ; that made my heart melt.
He helped me to forgive the abusers, as His love for me changed my heart for real, and He little by little the wounds would heal.
Today, my heart aches for those who have gone through the same, and thought it was some adult's game.
I pray for them with deep compassion and sorrow, as I hope for them a better tomorrow ; and that they will turn to the Lord with all their agony, as He is the only One who can give them harmony!

The fact that the father wanted to still have visitation even with how upset it made her should have been all the proof the court needed. A normal parent would not have insisted if it caused their child that much distress. They would have tried to work things out another way.

As one from the Criminal Justice Field, I will tell you. Any Parent that is Incarcerated, to protect their Childs Safety, is protected by the other Prison Inmates. Just as any Parent that injured a Child or their Child is not protected by other Prison Inmates.

When i became a teenager i started to love court dramas...and films based on true events like this one, you can learn from them. The sentences for sexual predators are increasingly lenient, and as I understand there are campaigns towards legalizing/normalising sexual relationships between adults and children.

This movie made me cry,it just shows to what extent a mother would go to protect her children but I don't like the ending it doesn't make sense but good movie though.

I know that many real life mom's wouldn't have sent their daughter back ONCE after believing a story like the one told (by the daughter character) in this movie.
Custody laws and visitations directives are pretty strict. You can't just decide not to abide or you'll be in contempt of court.
Is there a Part 2 movie continuation of this story? The ending is a letdown, it left me hanging! I know this is only a movie but the obtuseness of the judge who heard the case is absolutely maddening! I can’t believe how she was forced to honor the visitation rights of that sexual deviant ex-husband of hers and was penalized when she refused to do that.
Why on earth would they have a male doctor doing the examination??? It's obvious it should be a female doctor and the girl's mother should be in the room right next to her while it's happening. I hope it doesn't really happen like this nowadays, appalling.

My friend was raped by her father as a child and tortured .She is very messed up mentally and emotionally because of this. She has a heart of gold and is always looking out for others and helping those worse off😢 . It's heartbreaking what she's had to go through.

My mom taught in the inner city and had a few instances like this and just other things that went with teaching in those areas. She mostly taught special Ed thru her career. She taught at an elementary school and a few incidents she remembered was little girls (3 or 5th grade) some would come to school barely able to sit or it would hurt to. She'd send them to the school nurse and it would usually be mom's bf or partner just home from prison was messing with them,having sex with them while mom wasn't around . It was awful hearing it. Obviously dcfs would get involved and sometimes the kids aren't believed or the guy is a breadwinner so they guilt the kids into not telling family business or "exaggerating things" or worse blame the kid for "enticing " . They'd kick them out put on a show for the social workers but sneak them back around . It's a really sad situation

When my parents divorced, the judge awarded my mother full custody, with my father visitation maybe one weekend a month; it's been years since I've seen the court documents. My father pulled my mother aside and said, "We're the parents, we don't have to listen to the judge. We can just do whatever we want." She let him take us Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I love my dad, but he was abusive verbally and spiritually for a great many years, and gaslights me about it today. He would force me and my younger brother to walk three miles a day (sometimes twice) and would withhold food from the both of us. He literally told me at the age of eight or nine, "No man will ever want you if you don't lose some weight." He chose the high school I went to and, even after failing grades, bullying, no friends, and two suicide attempts, he refused to let me go to another school. That, ladies and gentleman, is what happens when you have a father who does whatever he wants, and a mother turns a blind eye to it.

Why do I feel SO MUCH rage towards that defense attorney? If I was that pediatric doctor on the stand I would've screamed at him, "What more proof do you need?! To catch him in the act?!" I would just have so much trouble controlling my emotions at the injustices out there in society. Thats why I never leave the house. I prefer a prison of my own making than to be out in such a cruel society.
