Resignation vs Termination | 90 days notice period | service vs product based companies

  • Deciding whether to resign or wait for a company to terminate your employment depends on various factors. Resigning allows you to maintain a sense of control over your departure and may be more favorable for your future job searches. However, if waiting for termination provides certain benefits, like severance packages or extended health coverage, it might be a viable option. Consider your financial stability, job prospects, and personal circumstances before making a decision. Weigh the pros and cons and seek advice if necessary to determine the best course of action for your unique situation.

An important tip if you want to save yourself from being put in PIP or termination then bootlick your manager as much as you can and I assure or guarantee that manager will not terminate you and this I have experienced this in a MNC or a medium size company

I can understand the pain and tension as I have gone through this 2years back as a fresher..but my friend, if you have any doubt that they will give u no hike, will add u into PIP then start preparing to switch..never love ur company, love your job..knowledge hoga to companies bhaag ke aayegi tumko hire karne ..and put forward high number during salary discussion but don't think u will survive as technical person without having technical knowledge...then prepare on how to become manager fast...but never resign before getting any offer.

Please do not opt for pip because rehire status will be no by hr. Tell the employer that I will have to serve notice period and then only I can join your company. Negotiate with present employer.

If we end up leaving an org while on PIP, wouldn't it reflect on our releasing letter? This performance deficit may get highlighted triggering second thoughts about our credibility and hiring in successive companies.Just a thought. Many companies till date still don't stick to the agreed negotiations.

My friend got pip and his hr said that the last week review will be last working day if pip is not completed. HR said that he will give normal separation if pip is not completed. Is that means resignation or termination? How it affects experience letter and relieving letter? If the last week review day is the last working day. Notice period will there? It won’t there right? How interviewers will take that less notice period or no notice period? What will the bgv and reference checks? Please tell.

Now i have received offer from other company and they are ready to on board me without releiving and experience letter from my current employer. My next employer gave joining date as 8-jan initially basis on which i resigned. But now my next employer want me to join by 15 nov i am also keen to join them(they said they have to revoke offer if canot join by 15-nov).i have told my current employer that i will be able to server notice till 10-nov.if i dont serve notice period with my current employer will there be any problem.i dont want to miss on the opportunity with my next employer as its a very good company. Her my manager said you have to server full notice period.Kindly guide what could be future issues and may be how can i handle them.
