Makes rocket with thrust in the name twice Disconcertingly says “oh boy that’s high” when it launches Also if we land a model rocket before you can we get free socks?? Luke’s feet get cold
You let the Internet name the rocket, can’t stop now! We’re naming your launch button too. I mean, it was your idea, but that’s neither here nor there.
If it makes you feel any better one of the lasers in the lab I work for has been named Laser McLaserface by one of the postdocs. It even has an acrylic name plate.
Incorrect. CVN-65 had 4 mottos: We are Legend; Ready on Arrival; The First, the Finest; Eight Reactors, None Faster Of which "In thrust we trust" was not one.
Thrusty McThrustFace took off in a REAL hurry with a more powerful motor - I don't think I've ever seen a model rocket move THAT quickly! Congrats on getting your Level 2, may this lead to more intriguing designs in your future builds!
I now know that the world desperately needs more randomly inserted camera tricks that sit around like Chekhov's Gun for a few minutes of footage before being revealed. Thank you for this random cinematographic enlightenment.
Wow, I always see people attempting their level ones, but never try their level twos, but you always seem to take things to the next level! Wether that be low or high power rocketry, great job!! 👍
Awesome job, Joe! Both lift offs were beautiful and we're all excited for you two to get your cards. I can safely say I've never been this thrilled to get socks in the mail. :)
Congrats on Level 2 Certification! I have to admit, when the parachute didn't open right away and the title of this video used the word "Attempt," I was concerned something went wrong. Good job.
MansellRa the reason it didn’t open immediately is because he used a Jolly Logic chute release. It has a little rubber band that keeps the parachute closed until a selected altitude. I fly one a lot. The goal is to save you a lot of walking by opening the parachute at a lower altitude.
If you haven't done one already, a video on how to locate the landing site by triangulation might be hugely useful to your school-age viewers and help introduce them to rocketry.
Any thoughts on attempting liquid fueling model rockets? I can only imagine how expensive getting all that goodness in there is. But imagine running a reusable rocket on what is essentially kerosene!
As a long time subscriber it is good to see Thrusty McThrustface again! I remember the vote and though I didn't vote that name (can't remember what) to see it again is awesome. I'm sure making content for rocketry is a real challenge and you'r team is doing a great job. As of now its looking like "38" people are just not smart enough.
Woah woah woah! I cone here to hear the nerdy numbers and details of the rockets! Haha, I just started experimenting with making my own fuel and rely on your knowledge to make sure I have an idea on what I need to do... lol
7:16, I only watched the footage from your various initial videos, but I’m here REwatching the ones where you talk about the process and whatnot. (Wasn’t here for the start FYI, but the progress in even the media aspect is obvious, not to mention the whole rocketry part)
And people think my rc quads and planes are dangerous. This looks to be breaking the 400ft ceiling it is completely uncontrolled and stuffed with an explosive compound, I love it.
In the UK we used to use motors that had a second boom boom that fired *inside* the rocket to blast apart the two halves of the rocket, it also pulls out the parachute. Had to stuff the inside with heatproof tape.
Love the shot of the rocket reveal at 1:15. Couldn't tell what that was. looked like a smudge on the screen. Hey JB your production aesthetics are begging for a 3D camera. If I win the lottery, you are getting a 3D camera. Unless you already have one. (Note to self: must buy lotto ticket.)
It would have been so funny if the rocket had landed and staid upright. (Edit: I'll go in town and see if I can find a "stayed" to replace that "staid")
@@slappy8941 Oh man! Really? I bought it from a dude in a white van in the shopping center's car park. He was cool and he had some really good deals. But I guess it was all fake. I'd try ringing him for a refund but the fone number he gave me is probably fake as well.
Roger Banks or expensive habits like cigarettes where you puff the money away. At least with rocketry there is learning and productivity and accomplishments!
I was watching this and realized I just flew at this launch site last weekend, they are super chill there. I opted to not pitch into the wind and my L2 is sitting in a tree.
Well the best way to describe the levels of high power rocketry in laymen's terms is Level One is equal to a high school diploma, level two is equal to bachelors degree and level three is equal to a PhD. By the way I'm a NAR and TRA Level 3. Level 1 with a PML Phobos on an AeroTech H165R. Level 2 with a Public Enemies (Now Defunct company) Extreme Performer on an AeroTech J460T. Level 3 with a Performance Rocketry Competitor 4 on an AeroTech M1315W. BBR probably stands for Black Brant Rocket considering that is a LOC/Precision BBX Kit used for his L2.

You should really say that at the end of your vids instead of may your winds be low :D
Lol
When is the next livestream? I’m looking forward to more chat and kerbal madness.
Amen🦀🦀
petition to actually have "YEET" written on the big red button.
Seconded.
Thirded

*Embossed* for more win.
“Oh Boy That’s High” sounds like the name of SpaceX’s next drone ship
y e s
Yes
Alas, they proved to be Phobos and Deimos (if we're counting oil rigs as ships. Actually, no, let's not. I want this one instead.)
Neh Mars lander
Space X drone ships are named after Culture sci fi series ships, there are jems like Profit Margin and No More Mr Nice Guy
Makes rocket with thrust in the name twice
Disconcertingly says “oh boy that’s high” when it launches
Also if we land a model rocket before you can we get free socks?? Luke’s feet get cold
When are you going orbital Joe?
Joe: Makes socks
Also Joe: Buys own socks
Money: Goes from Joe to Joe
*stonks*
*stonks 📈*
The "BBR" Stands for the "Big Black Rocket" without a shadow of a doubt.
When you have to stop watching rocket videos to go watch different rocket videos
every time bro
ME
Or on a more generic spectrum (but not) didn’t happen this time but when you have to stop watching a BPS.space video to watch mark rober
Stonks
Came for the rockets
But stayed for your personality
and the socks.. :)
Yup and the socks
Now you have to label the big red button "Yeet!"
Yup
You let the Internet name the rocket, can’t stop now! We’re naming your launch button too.
I mean, it was your idea, but that’s neither here nor there.
Yeah, I mean how shall everyone else learn this thing? Internet and all the mess!
imagine flying a silo launched thrusty mcthrustface and vertically landing it. This would make you a model rocketry deity
That is the sickest reveal of a rocket I've ever seen.
Yay we finally got to see the rotosail in action!
Congrats on your Level 2! I learned stuff here today. Thanks! And huge congrats on 100k subs. Great vid! Love the runcam footage!
“In thrust we trust” is actually a pretty common phrase, at least among aviation nerds
and loose women .......
If it makes you feel any better one of the lasers in the lab I work for has been named Laser McLaserface by one of the postdocs. It even has an acrylic name plate.
Very nice Rocket and that Speed, thumb up.
"In thrust we trust" was also the motto of CVN-65, the USS Enterprise :D

Congratulation on your Level 2 certification. I just purchased the rocket kit I'm going to use for my Level 2 certification attempt next year.
Excellent! Good luck on your build.
If you want questions answered or too see other folks projects, pop over shes share yours on rocketryforum.com !
Keep it up man. Your videos are great. I'm emotionally invested in the progress of your powered landing and RCS projects.
I'm also going to need a T-shirt with a badge that says BPS Space - In thrust we trust -
4:35 I was so worried the chute wouldn't open 😓
Lesson learned: Don’t let the internet name things! Congrats, guys! Excellent achievement. BBR, easy! Big Bottle Rocket!
Jesus we all knew Elon got around but I never thought we would find one of his kids!
Awesome video and build man! This inspired me to get back into amateur rocketry and get to my level 3! Thank you!
until 1:13 i thought you blurred something out at the left
Liked just for the transition. "Snatch" level transition.
Level 3? Nah. Just lauch a goddamn sounding rocket
Jack Isn't Daniel's you want a straight piping too? huh?
BBR - Big Bad Rocket! Great video.

When is the next landing model Rockets video coming out?
All the camera of the angle dangles were splendiferous! Cheers, Rocketman. BBR..."Badarse Blast Rocket"
Beautiful!!! Love your camera angles and quality 🤙
Your videos always make me smile. Thanks for that.
Awesome job, Joe! Both lift offs were beautiful and we're all excited for you two to get your cards. I can safely say I've never been this thrilled to get socks in the mail. :)
I remember talking about the in thrust we trust logo a while back. Awesome socks
Hey joe. I'm from Trinidad. Like your work and video. Bring some bring some more on TH-cam. Keep teaching how to build them. Congratulations
Congratulations Joe!! Level 2 opens up so many fun high power possibilities!
Wow those fins are straight! Virtually no roll in the on-board shots, nice work.
Dude! I love rocketry. Please keep up the great work and your love of space.

@@Banditomojado thanks for the explanation. Makes sense. I guess I've never shot a ticket high enough to warrant one--yet!
Currently working on a 3D printable YEET button

Glad you are back! It would be cool to get Destin or the SloMo guys to get their Phantom high speed camera on the motors during launch!

And the socks? They are lit AF. :)
Things are definitely ramping up!
great videos, I love how much work goes into your videos! once the pandemic is over you can count me as a patron
Congrats! Well done, very pleasant footage.
You Sir, are a goddam genius... KEEP PUSHING!!! Very inspiring stuff. 🚀

noice stable flight, good build 👍
BBR stands for Big Bitchin' Rocket, of course.
finally a channel ing whit a lil bit of home basically all made
Bloomin lovely shots, really interesting video, cheers, subbed

I see the uk “Boaty McBoatface” story got over there...
Man I love this guy, a true American engineer talking in metrics 😍
I come here for the explanation of the launch footage. keep up the great work.
In Thrust We Trust Boxer shorts!
Oh I get why it’s the bbr, it’s prolly a play on the bbx acronym, which is the kit that Parker used.

Where did you get that spelling of "stayed"? I think you need to ask for a refund.

I use one of BJ's chutes on my L2 as well. He does great work.
Rocketry: The hobby where you literally watch your money go up in smoke. ;-P
Roger Banks or expensive habits like cigarettes where you puff the money away. At least with rocketry there is learning and productivity and accomplishments!
Is level 3 in the future or is Thrusty McThrustface to small for that?
“Big Badass Rocket”
It’s too small of a motor mount for a L3 motor. 38 mm motors only go up to K. Most L3 motors (M or bigger) are 75 to 98 mm.
You mean "too" small. Don't be a tard.
Slappy sorry, I meant “two”
The socks idea is great.
I was watching this and realized I just flew at this launch site last weekend, they are super chill there. I opted to not pitch into the wind and my L2 is sitting in a tree.
Finnally this guy did high powered rocketry
@BSP.Space - when will we see a successful landing of your rocket - i am really looking forward to that !
Congratulations 🚀
The money shot at 3:52..."Now that's what I'm talking about" the cam mounts are neat😁
Nice 739m (2424 feet)👌...Good job Joe👍🖖✌
Congratulations, your channel is really nice, Greetings from Tesla Nation
You are the man!!! 🦀🦀
Moon man what’s up🦀🦀🦀🦀
Big beautiful rocket
Congratulations 👍🏼🍻😊
Nice. I think you would sell a lot more thrusty condoms for merchandise. lol
Red rocket, red rocket
This video made my day
That’s not much of a flex when they literally provide you with the exam with all of the answers as the “study material.”
That should be BIG BRUTAL ROCKET !
big beautiful rocket
Those socks are actually really cool

Baby boy rocket
Killer footage
well, apparently the internet decided to give the rocket the perfect name and slogan...
so maybe do let us name things?
