    I have both apps and would like to see a demo of your workflow for using them together.

    I think I could use both. I’m using Photomator now and like it a lot, but you nailed several issues I’ve had in Photomator that Pixelmator addresses. Thanks - it can be confusing.

      Yes I would use pixelmator to perform high pass sharpening on photomator images for crispy clear images. 🙂

    This video was very helpful because I had recently purchased Pixelmator Pro and then wondered if I had bought the right program (Pixelmator vs. Photomator). You have answered my question about which program is best for me, so I am grateful for the information. I have subscribed, liked and have already watched some of your other videos. Thank you!

    Just watch the two video and decide to stay to my pixelmator pro.
    Thanks for your video.

      Good choice! Team needs to add more feature to photomator. I'm sure it's coming!

    Photomator is a bit like Lightroom, Pixelmator Pro is more like Photoshop. That‘s it.

      I agree. I realized though some in the audience aren't familiar with Lightroom/Photoshop as well. :)

      That’s what it seemed like. Why don’t they just make one app that does both/all the things instead of two apps?

    The main reason that I have not left Adobe PS (Mac and iOS), LR/LRc/LR Mobile is simply the eco-system. Basically, the ability to work in one app on say an iPad Pro in the field and have that image waiting for me on my Mac when I return and do some additional editing in LR/LRc, that Mobile can not. I have had Photomator on my Mac for several years and Pixelmator (non-pro) along with Photomator on my iPads. I have not purchased Pixelmator Pro as of yet. To be perfectly honest, aside from some playing around with these apps, I have not had the opportunity to really sit down and familiarize myself with your offerings, I will make time to familiarize myself with the Pixelmator family. I see that Apple has (pending government approval) acquired Pixelmator, this has sparked an interest into looking at Pixelmator and your suite of image editing apps as a possible replacement for Adobe. If you can integrate all of your offerings to the degree that Adobe has done where Photomator on my iPad can communicate with Pixelmator on my Mac, well then, I may be very interested in defecting.

      Pixelmator is a good fit for Apple but don't expect it to replace LR anytiime soon. Apple has a bad track record working with photo editors. They used to have one named Aperture.

      @ Oh, indeed I do recall ‘Aperture’ a sad day when it was discontinued by Apple.

      Also Apple earns a cut from every Adobe app sold. It doesn't hurt them that Adobe is successful.

    can you use Pixelmator pro for image stacking and aligning layers?

    • @takebetterphotos8132
      @takebetterphotos8132  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It has no stacking and aligning function as far as I know. It lags Affinity Photo in that regard.

      True. Something could be bad or good depending on how you look at it.🙂

    Thanks so much for your work on this topic. I’m puzzled by the company even has two different products. That have so much overlap. It’s a little ridiculous. As far as I’m concerned. Will not make one product. Do everything.

      Hi there good question! It is true they could have just built up one product Pixelmator Pro. However going forward they want to put more photo management features into Photomator so as to mimic Adobes: Lightroom + Photoshop combo. Also, they want to move one product to subscription (photomator) for revenue reasons as perpetual pricing of Pixelmator Pro is not enough to sustain development costs.

    Also Photomator won‘t let you add text

    • @takebetterphotos8132
      @takebetterphotos8132  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes true. Any thing which involves layers other than adjustment layers is for Pixelmator Pro.

    The price is very high compared to Pixel Metor and 5 reasons I don't think it's enough to add a program and I bought Pixel Mitor from my point of view if the price of the program is 20 or 30 dollars I think it's encouraging.
