While your here giving out free tips can you give me something for bush replacement on lower arms? I've heard plenty of times it's simple. Front bush presses out no issues. Rear bush on diff same thing, or split outer shell with cold chisel etc, then knock out. New ones press in fine Until I see a video of it I'll refuse to believe it. I split the front bush basically want to break any strong bond formed with the 2 metals. By the end I had torched the rubber, knocked and cut the outer casing, but even with their tapered design and something solid supporting the inner walls of LCA.. pushing them out still managed to managed to tweak it . New bush started going in fine until close to centerd then fell through the other side. They're tapered and have only one direction for in and out. I don't get how it's possible. Also no one who films doing rear end bushes conveniently don't include the LCAs sorry for going off the rails there
Hi mate love your vn car movies. I'm doing up a vn. You did the bonnet hinge modification. So was that to stop the bonnet hitting the windscreen. Can you send me the link to video please. Cheers steve
Just wanted to say really enjoy your videos. I found your channel just before you procured the lancer. Hope the break sorts out whatever you need to but your back when your ready. Like others your clean builds, video production and editing is immaculate. I have three young children at the moment that consumes my time and money stopping my love for working on cars. So I live out my dreams in your work 😊
Trailing arms bending- Power, grippy tyres & from what I've seen it's when people notch the trailing arm so the tyre doesn't scrub that creates a weak point & it bends there
A clean White Commodore on silver steelies always looks good. Those five ltr hubcaps suit it even better imo. If I could find a decent set of exec hubcaps for my vr I'd throw them on
Both comments above are accurate. Jack car up, with wheels off and Jack stands under the frame, take the bottom bolt out of the shock(s). Have a Jack under the diff when doing it, then you can lower it down slowly and safely

little tech tip with rubber bushes you should tighten the bolts for the diff in ride height position as the bushes can tear from twisting.
Yeah your right mate coz i think if you dont you run the risk of tearing the rubbers from out of the LCA.
Yep, often overlooked
I was going to leave the same comment 😅
Don't want to preload the bush.

I'm glad you mentioned that. I was thinking the same thing when he was tightening those bushing mounts too.

Stay safe MindieJ!!!
will do, thanks mate
Great video mate
thanks Jordan
@mindieJ do you know the part number for the 3.5 inch muffler you used on ya vn ?
Yr edit is on point
thanks mate
No tip looks good!! Glad you didn’t put a chrome tip on
Chrome tips can stay in 2003 where they belong
@@MindieJ amongst a stack of autosalon mags 😂
Congrats mate! Was it on tow truck to get tuned?
Yep straight off to hit the dyno again
Put stainless rivets in the shifter lock out.
yeh these rivets have 1 more chance
What paint/coating have you used on the under body?
try a stainless steel rivet or small bolt in that lockout lever
Titanium encrusted carbon fibre if it happens again
There is a bolt missing on the header flange that bolts to the head.....Atleast it looks like that wenn u fill in the engine oil.
Correct, I spoke about it last video
@@MindieJ dint see that vid so i did not know.

Hope everything’s okay bloke, look after yourself
Thanks Mark
just a question bro why did you opt for a single exhaust & not a twin system?
Nowhere to run a twin exhaust on a VN, fuel tank is on other side
May I ask why do you leave the inspection plate of the torque converter, I have notice alot of people do that.
High stall speed creates alot of heat
Just helps it remove some heat
@@yeahthetroy4792 over here in Perth it's illegal to have that plate missing, pain in the arse.
In Melbourne everything is illical to mod on a car well almost everything we just do it anyway
Having no converter shield is the least of my worries if I get pulled over haha
Just a question, how do you remove the rear springs in a VN before I try?
They will probably fall out
Drop the lower shock absorber bolt, arm will fall, should give you enough clearance to pull the spring out.
Both comments above are accurate. Jack car up, with wheels off and Jack stands under the frame, take the bottom bolt out of the shock(s). Have a Jack under the diff when doing it, then you can lower it down slowly and safely
if you have stock length shocks and lowered springs they will just fall out once the car is jacked up
Mate what mufflers did u use?
Brand is called Growl
Nice
Thanks
Scotty is ready....
yeh but im not haha
@@MindieJ cant wait ;)
Omg it looks so good and sounds fat
i havent even heard it in person yet, im hanging!
Use stainless rivets Next time
yeh these ones have 1 more chance at surviving
Sounds tuff need Troy to do my Vk blue meanie exhaust DM me MJ
Give the work Insta page a message, it’s listed in the video description
Time to be a father bro?
thats quite possible
You could have bought 3 mm plate and done it yourself instead of buying those other ones
For $40 it’s not even worth my time, plus I don’t have a press or dimple dyes
It'd cost ya 40 bucks for the sheet lol
